To me the call was always about Mafah. Not Cade. Mafah was ruled down while making the pitch to the WR. The ball didn’t just pop up. Mafah was making the lateral to the WR (which was the play). So they call him downed while he attempted to pitch the end around. They whistled it dead. Then Clemson ran another play. Then the review. call on the field was down. Whistled dead. Then they ran another play. I hate a huge % of overturns in college and pros. To me they never clear the bar required which is supposed to be huge. To me the call said Mafah caught the ball on the ground and Wesco caught it on the sideline…and there wasn’t the evidence needed to overturn them. you even got SEC guys like David Pollack calling that Mafah one criminal. So it ain’t just the Clemson homer

Maybe. That cuts both ways. a high level recuit knows Dabo isn’t going to treat him like a rental to make him look good or go. Which is college football now. Dabo still recruiting someone that wants to go to Clemson 4 years and be part of what they do. He still recruiting Christian parents. there is a place for what Dabo does. It just means instead of ever flirting with top 4 status like the ole days…..it’s being 15ish good looking for that auto bid

Every couple years SC manages to find a way to narrowly beat Clemson. That was a good game to watch. You could feel that outcome coming though at the end early on. Came down to QBs late. Sellers one man showed it. Cade crumbled and panicked. Ready for the end of the Cade era. Hope that was the end of it.

He controlled it enough to attempt to complete the play and lateral the WR while down. Call on the field was down. Catch before the half. No clue how you reverse that.
-
SC also got 2 big questionable calls that took Clemson out while threatening to put up points in big moments. I mean, it wasn’t like it was a bad snap turnover where yall shot yourselves in the foot. Clemson made plays there.

Beamer smoking that crack rock post game. Sellers isn’t the best player in the country. He was the NFL version of The Golden Calf of Bristol out there today. I mean props to his running. Clemson couldn’t put him on the ground. But that’s not good QB play. Just a tank that is lined up at QB.
-
man, Clemson really beat them themselves today. Is what it is. They just couldn’t make the scoreboard reflect outplaying SC early The Cade choked with that panicky pick with a OT FG in his back pocket.
-
Gamecocks now up. Clemson got a minute and 2 timeouts. Clemson let them hang around all game. Clemson should have put something else up ont the board earlier. Outplayed them but the scoreboard never showed it.

Think it was 3. Might of moved to 2.5

SC somehow getting ref help in this one. And the SC O has been nothing but the QB breaking sack attempts and scrambling.
-
WTF. Clemson getting screwed here. Mafa had enough control to catch and then attempt a lateral pitch back with his butt on the ground. No way that should be SC ball on review with the call being down on the field
-
Now refs kill another Clemson pass play with a late booth review for a play that didn’t need it I get Clemson isn’t good enough to have refs working with them. But SC isn’t good enough to have the refs working against Clemson. Clemson needs to be up more than 7
-
Clemson got hosed on that booth review before the half. Not sure how you overturn that catch.
-
Clemson pass rush has been pretty good. They just haven’t been able to wrap him up
-
7-7 in the Pametto Bowl Clemson has had Selllers for countless losses in the backfield at this point. That’s been some of their best plays. Should be sacks that weren’t. Either that’s going to cost them this game or they start dropping him for big losses
-
And there is orange in the endzone!
-
Injury report out, hopefully Clemson is going to actually get some guys back today and put them on the field to make it a game today. Only one OL actually ruled out but it’s still a pretty big question mark of who actually can go today. They need their offensive lineman to play

GT got to get King moving for a chance to run if a lane is there
-
GT should have gone for 2. Hate underdogs choosing the multi OT route
-
Ain’t no such thing as jinxing. Too big of a load on King and it caught them
-
Fug
-
That should be it. Great job by King and GT. Fug the SEC.

College football isn’t rigged but it’s definitely pushed in certain directions/outcomes. If you up against a chosen team you got to beat the push too
-
I’m tired just watching King

Everyone is chasing points early these days. They call it analytics. I call bologna.
