  1. Jake went to the Super Bowl his first season. Bryce has 1 road win in year 3. Bryce isn’t present day Jake
  2. Probably has something to do with the fact we have moved on from guys at this stage….Bryce still being trotted out there because of a reallly bad over investment
  3. What didn’t you root harder for Jimmy Clausen? By Bryce logic, everyone should have shunned the idea of drafting Cam Newton. Drafted a WR instead. Given Jimmy more support. pessimism is only frowned upon on the huddle when it is applied to select people. A lot of the same folks that deem people pessimistic for pooing on a really bad QB….poo on all sorts of different Panthers and coaches. Bryce doesn’t have traditional NFL tools and has been really bad overall going into his 3rd season. It’s not being a pessimist at this stage to be tired of the little engine that really can’t

    Trap game

Jets do have a top 5 rushing offense. Think both teams will have mirror image goals and game plans.
  5. regardless, we are about to learn a lot about Dave Canales this week or next in terms of the ole Wally Pip argument. Some coaches believe injury shouldn't allow for someone to take your job, good coaches play the best player.
  6. I'll be honest. I'm not sure I want to see any those guys returning right now given what others are presently doing.... minus Coker. Hubbard returning likely messes the run game up (I mean, it's going to come down regardless but he still), Tremble and Evans actually are doing well, Corbett seems to make us worse up front, and the D has made some strides. I'd like to just keep that whole lot on the shelf this week.
  7. I always loved DJ Moore. I don't see him wanting to comeback here. He seems to be tired of inconsistent QB play and you finally see that bubbling over in Chicago. or maybe he just doesn't like the people. He actually seemed fine with Fields.....and lobbied for them not to draft Caleb. So maybe it's just a Caleb issue (and I think Caleb might have tons of baggage/issues that rub folks wrong)
  8. national media folks forced to talk about Carolina (a team none of them watch) this week simply because Dallas went down.
  9. I'd bet you a dollar Long hasn't watched 3 Panther Bryce Young games in his life lol. Unless you are a Tampa, Falcons, Saints fan....no one outside Carolina has.
  10. I mean, we have shown some defensive improvement in areas......but we are allowing an average of 27 pts a game during this "dominant" 2 week window. Jets have a less traditional rush attack and Fields isn't going to be trying to take it to the outside corners. Fields being worse of a QB in theory could make him more problematic. His runs aren't going to be into our DTs and he likely is going to play heavy in the pass game to the TEs/RBs (our weak spot) I'd say it's a coin flip game. One team likely loses this one more than the other wins it.
  11. I'd wager it would be hard to find a game where he was better intermediate (10-20 yards) than that GB game. 11 completions and 2 scores at intermediate depth.
  12. it was a big second half game but Bryce Young probably threw for more first half yardage vs Green Bay than Dallas. and Bryce wasn't just hitting coverage busts to guys 5-10 yards open vs GB. Probably his strongest day with the intermediate throws of his career.
  13. yes, it is blasphemous. It is the perfect illustration of how stats lie and selectively leaving out all relevant context. Comparing Bryce to Jake and Cam is stupid. You have read my words a thousand times and you choose every time to tweak them in your reply. Bryce Young is A reason. Often a primary reason we have trailed in every single game in the 4th q (minus one). You are the one the chooses to add in Oh, you are saying he is THE reason in EVERY single game (despite knowing that isn't what I said repeatedly so there can't actually be confusion given how many times I have repeated it). Why are doing that? Because you have to skew the verbiage to some nonsensical absolute framing....because I am right. And you can't argue against that.
  14. well, that was Bryce and Fields in a head to head. How people are going hard for Bryce at this point is just detached from all other football discussions and how we view everyone else. Fields has been a more productive QB overall. And Fields is garbage.
  15. I don't think it's unrealistically blaming Bryce Young......to say has been a reason, sometimes a big one, in why our pass offense overall has been extremely week over the past 3 collective seasons. I think that bothering anyone, is just being overly invested in some Bryce Young argument. It's just a reality.
  16. QB 1 - 61.5%, 159 pass yards/game, 84 QB rating, bad throw 18%, 49 rush yards/ game, win %.285, 1.4 TDs per game. QB 2 - 60.5%, 178 pass yards/game, 78 QB rating, bad throw 21%, 15 rush yards/game, win % .264, 1.2 TDs per game. Describe these 2 in one word. Would you want one to be your QB going forward?
  17. how many years you want to spending watching for that? and we got big decisions coming up in terms of what to do at the QB spot. You want to be like the Jags and instead of dumping big money into middle of the road QB, dump it into a bottom tier QB?
  18. I specifically called out it's a joke to bring up Jake and Cam when talking about Bryce Young and his GWDs....(it's LITERALLY mentioned in the OP. You know the post that started this thread). and for the 100000x time, Bryce Young is clearly one of the reasons, and often one of the primary reasons we have trailed in the 4th quarter of every single game of his NFL career minus 1. This isn't even something that is debatable in reality. Nothing about that statement has been proven false. It's not just Bryce Young IMPLODING in games and putting us in a massive holes in games. It's the fact he has produced bottom of the barrel passing offense his entire career (every year)....and when you get bottom of the barrel passing O consistently every single seaosn from your QB.....winning is very very very hard. It's an O and passing league. If you are essentially dead last since arriving into the NFL.....it's sort of a big deal in a bad way. And Bryce Young has been painfully consistent there (stats shared each year). And it doesn't matter the OC, the OL, the weapons....the bottom of barrel passing production is the same. He 100% is a reason and often the reason this team is forever in a "GWD' scenarios trailing in the 4th every single Sunday (minus 1 in his now going on 3 year career)
  19. Felt like just the other week Jackson was everyones favorite new corner and the best Morgan move…. life changes quick.
  20. I agree. You also can’t predict the Atlanta type games where a team just implodes. I mean a random punt returner can gift a game off two muffs and you win a game you really couldn’t in a normal scenario
  21. Well you can start with the 80 rushing grade being really suspect lol. I only recall 2 really bad pass blocking reps and one of them he was screwed trying to take on 2 guys untouched. And it was clear Rico saw the issue coming presnap (his eyes going crazy) and Young wasn’t in tune with what was coming. Still don’t see how that drops Rico to the 10th best O grade.
  22. I think we could split with the Saints. Thats 5. Then it gets tough to find more given the schedule. Maybe catch a resting Tampa team to get to 6 but 6 gets hard to really figure out.
  23. I would wager odds highly favor we see neither of those guys Sunday. Those are sort of the extreme ends of the Fields spectrum. Fields accounted for 300+ total yards vs Dallas, 260 + vs Steelers, 300+ vs Phins. Over 200 passing in those 3. Broncos likely are the actual #1 D in the NFL to date as they are #2 in yards and #2 in pts
  24. PFF feeds the beast. So it’s largely popular for that IMO and is embraced by the NFL machine because it helps feed the beast. Thats why you see the cute stats pop on the Monday Night football screen lol. Hot takes? Fantasy football? Yeah, it’s good for the NFL machine for lots of reason. I do think the league embraces them. Not because they are actually good at doing what they claim. actual analytics folks are critical of PFF. Because it’s not analytics. It’s subjective goobly goo ratings by dudes that aren’t really qualified nor even have the info to do real grading. you got legit NFL players who say they have literally put PFF grades by the coaches grades and they are worlds apart. Players have laughed at them pretending they can grade certain plays without the underlining info. NFL coaches have called out there bologna at pressers. could it be a quick tool to find out some info that has nothing to with their subjective grades? Sure. There is a lot of data on 32 teams for cheap. But I do not buy the narrative 32 NFL teams think their grades are worth a poo or remotely accurate or meaningful. All the OGs, founders, etc left, it’s largely clickbait.
  25. That workload won’t be realistic most weeks. Better defenses will force us out of the Rico show if we want to try to stay in games
