Lots of upsets? I think UGA and whoever loses Bama/UT will obviously go down. I think Miami goes down after flirting with defeat every ACC game thus far. That's about all that stands out for me.

is it an overall better scheme? Or were the folks last year just forced to play Bryce Young all season. I'd love to be a fly on the wall for when Frank Reich talks about his Carolina days.

I don't see the point in inserting Theilen back into his old role either. We aren't developing Andy Dalton. We ain't winning games. Him racking up 700 yards to end this year doesn't help us.

Someone complained the defense lived on the field. There is only one way for that to happen. Panthers are bottom 3rd in possession on the year. Bottom 3rd still if you look at the last 3 games. That's one cherry picked game vs another team that, like us, struggles staying on the field offensively.

I think they should run Dionte and XL at 1 and 2 and put Coker in the slot demote Mingo

A defense that lives on the field is generally there because the offense isn’t staying on the field

Need to know what Brooks is and isn’t though to manage the roster for next year.

We literally just drafted Brooks. Why would you pay Hubbard. drafting cheap RBs on repeat should be the way. Not paying 2nd contracts.

Running eats clocks and limits opportunities….should be a no brainer to commit to the run. It would help the D to have them on the field less

we frankly have nothing to do trade. Derrick Brown is our only actual asset that we would get legit draft picks from. we would be getting peanuts for AT, Johnson, Chubba. Maybe you could get something okay for Horn. But even that is questionable given his injury history....and you gotta assume folks see something on tape because given how bare bones our D is.....teams still throw at the guy.

I think Bryce returns at some point even if Dalton stays healthy. Eventually after so many Ls you just get forced into rearranging chairs on the Titanic.

bad hires are bad hires though. No real point sticking with them just because… it’s sort of like arguing we should stick with Bryce just because we keep churning through QBs and yeah, Morgan is a big part of it for me. Same for Caldwell and others. Having the the mess fix the mess and never sat right with me. If Tepper would commit to hiring someone to actually run this team….I would 100% support them starting over clean vs sticking with guys just because of our turnover habit

Yeah. I’d probably make the argument that reject can’t catch Ted Ginn Jr is the 4th best WR in Panthers history. amazing how weak we have been there given how old we are at this point

I think we have better offensive roster, they have a better defensive roster. overall? In an offensive league I just give the nod to New England as the worst roster cheers

Oakland was a perfect storm fluke. I continue to point to that AZ game. Been dominated ever since….just like we were after the AZ game. I’m not saying he needs to be fired right now. You obviously give him the season. I’m just open to it after this year if this season is horrible. And Morgan too.

If you take out the Bryce games for Canales you got to do it for Frank then. Frank didn’t want Bryce. and garbage Frank pulled off more with Bryce than QB guru Canales Patriots have the worst roster in the NFL. Not us. Not really close IMO. And they haven’t lost all their games by double digits.

I mean, those 2 could win here. Tepper’s issue is he employs horrible GMs and bad HCs. Over and over. And that becomes a compounding issue. Rhule, Frank and likely Canales….are just bad to weak hires. And you really knew that going in to all 3. Same with his GMs. And the GMs/HCs all compound the QB issue over and over. Tepper needs to turn this team over. Completely. Hire someone to run it and hire for it. All he should be doing is showing up in his box to watch games

It’s the NFL. Not really about giving HCs coaches huge grace. Frank was horrific here. Through 6 games, with better offensive tools, this guy hasn’t produced a better O. At some point, that matters. And as you said, defenses knew what Frank was doing. So….

looking just 6 games in… Canales has a much better OL than Frank. Better skill talent than Frank. A better QB overall through the 6 games…. and his O isn’t statistically better through 6 games than Frank was through 6.

agree, but that only works if you actually got a solid HC 5 years is also an eternity in todays NFL. You got to earn those years at the same time

He is an offensive coach/QB guru… I think the D can suck, we lose games we should still be able to judge him. AT missing games shouldn’t matter at all IMO. if all that works is Dalton, Dionte and Chubba….we should let Tepper do Tepper things IMO

I think you can basically only judge him on if he is developing the young guys and creating opportunities for them. Being an overly a Dionte/AT pass attack with Dalton and losing…..is pointless in the big picture.

I don’t think there are Bryce stans I commented before the season started, Evero was pretty much setup to shoulder the worst of this season. I still think that was largely design. Force the old guy on the new guy. Deplete the D. Then when the season is over you got a built in blame guy. Not that I was ever wowed by Evero…but it’s pretty obvious why the D is horrible and that’s Morgan’s office and what they set out to do this year

Thought the playcalling was bad last week. It should have been the Hubbard show and he got away from it. I don’t know how to comment on the Bryce games Oakland was good but sort of a perfect storm scenario I think the next couple weeks will tell us about him.
