  1. well, Tom Brady did actually use the word frightening to describe Bill in college football. His context and usage was obviously different.
  2. when Dabo and Jesus hit the recruiting trail, they will remind the kids in the Carolina's that Ron Rivera has a better win % in the NFL than Belichick...when Bill didn't have Tom Brady on the field for him.
  3. true. You might get a couple names in the door off of his name. Can you keep highly paid kids at UNC given what that would actually looks like. That's what I doubt. Which IMO is why all his former players are laughing at the situation. The environment Bill creates doesn't mesh with today's college football. Only thing Bill got in common w/ the Deion situation is name recognition. Sanders at least brings a lot of things that do jive w/ today's college football. It's a fun reality TV show.
  4. Money, playing time, winning, being happy. Shuffle the order a little based on each kid. I don't think most kids give a rip how well known the HC is. I just don't see Bill being born again. I think he runs a miserable program where they will try to win ugly. A less fun Harbaugh/Michigan type situation is what kids would be walking into....but in the ACC.
  5. I wish yall the best. Any respect that can be brought to the ACC is welcomed.
  6. this exact article/narrative is just a copy and paste from different windows of Tepper's tenure.
  7. I'd like to see the fine print of what UNC is actually agreeing to. My personal opinion is the NFL sort of blackballed the Belichicks.....and now he is merely trying to set his son up. I just don't see how Bill is going to come into college football and be Nick Saban when Saban already bounced because his model doesn't belong anymore. I think in about 2 years, we will just go back to that clip of Brady, Gronk, and Edlemen laughing at this and say well, yeah,......it was obvious it wasn't going to work.
  8. I 100% think Canales is a let's just stay close type coach in games. Just get to the 4th in striking distance as the goal. Which is a common approach used for team that have a talent handicap.
  9. I'd rather be dogs. Big picture I'd always prefer the slight dog line.
  10. Freshman kicker already trying to reach Renfrow status amongst fans. The wink lol. If Phil Mafah can get functional and that's a big if...Clemson going to be a tough out. Say what you will about Dabo, he is one of the few coaches in this thing that we know can get his team ready for this moment and Dabo has a knack for having all his team playing their best ball at the end. Clemson ain't the worst team in this playoff despite the 12 seeding. Same SEC homers that would pimp Gamecocks as the hottest team in college football and they could make some noise if they got in.....are the same types that would dismiss Clemson from having a punchers chance in a game. Yet the are the exact same tier teams.
  11. Kasay and Jake. 89 was the tightest w/ the folks you would think he would have been the furthest from. Jake and 89 were really tight off the field especially when they started families. On the Edlemen podcast he said he still talks to Jake every month by phone to this day.
  12. I miss that guy I wish he had spent the last half decade taking shots at Tepper. But Tepper took that off the table. Gannt would have been awesome covering this team while not employed by Carolina.
  13. David Tepper CLEARLY still be doing his Monday morning thing and if you are honest, there is really no indication he has changed anything. David Tepper has "disappeared" repeatedly in his time here. Him knowing he looks bad and not being visible isn't new. It's actually the design most of the time the last couple years. David Tepper wasn't suddenly a good owner because Wilks and company had a nice little stretch of being competitive. I may have turned the corner on Bryce Young a little. But David Tepper is still a horrific owner. And Tepper 100% put all this together. We can't pretend he didn't because we haven't been a laughing stock the last couple weeks.
  14. Good is relative. They aren’t good by the standard of what a good Clemson team is. Better than the last 3 years if healthy but still not good. which also is true about present day Bama, OSU, etc. Which remains my point. The top of college football is weaker vs the past. It’s weak this year. Any of these teams can catch an L from a host of teams to a degree that wasn’t there not long ago.
  15. They couldn’t even run through the Sun Belt conference undefeated based on this season. They lost to Georgia State. Folks have been playing this nonsensical SEC trinkle down overhype game for a long time. Bama wouldn’t have gone through the ACC undefeated this year if they caught the wrong schedule. Why? Because the top of the SEC doesn’t have great teams this year vs years past. They just got talented rosters. Miami, Clemson, SMU, Syracuse, Louisville, GT, Duke. I don’t think any SEC team THIS year could run through those 7 and not catch an L. Old top SEC teams could
  16. 2 more teams presently ranked in the top 25 than Texas has. yes yes, they play in the SEC. A tale old as time. you didn’t address my point in either post. Reality is the top of the SEC is weaker now than it has been. What we see with the SEC is the bottom and middle improving. This current Texas and UGA team wouldn’t belong in most of the final 4s from prior years. They would be the 4th team smashed that didn’t belong. so yeah, Texas would have to win 4 straight. That gives them the worst odds given everyone is meh out of the “favorites”. I’ll take Oregon. The former PAC12 team. And even they aren’t good by old standards. Trash Cade Klubnik got better production than their Heisman candidate. * please note at no time have I called Clemson good. They are a shell of older Clemson teams. They haven’t played 1 compete game all season. The point is there are no powerhouse teams right now in college football. These are not the SEC teams of old at the top. They are clearly weaker. What we saw was them get weaker and the SC, Vandys, etc get better
  17. Texas is new to the game and getting full SEC overhype treatment simply for existing in the SEC. Fun fact - Clemson has 2 wins over teams currently in the top 25. Texas has literally zero. Zero. And people poo talk SMU or whoever in the same sentence. #3 in the nation? I’d be interested in fact checking the last time that happened. No way Texas runs through 4 straight ranked teams with Ewers. This years SEC teams are being massively overhyped. If Vandy is taking it to folks this year….that says all you need to know in reality about the SEC. reality is Clemson having a horrific 2nd half week 1 set the stage for the SEC overhype to set sail full throttle and never look back. All that money in the SEC and IMO the top is the weakest it’s been in a LONG time. Bottom stronger.
  18. I think it’s a great move in reality pending you keep Sellers two more seasons. SC actually sets up well for Shula under its current construction.
  19. Now go bet 20 on Oregon. WhoaCam’s bad juju gonna end up having Clemson play their first complete game of the season and folks having to deal with that post game Dabo rant about all the haters lol
  20. I’d vote Jeanty. He one man showed his way to the college playoff with much better numbers than the last two Heisman RBs. Colorado finishing where they did would prohibit my vote for him given the other option.
  21. 4th in the Big12 is 4th in the Big12 winning the ACC is plenty to brag about. UNC fans certainly would if they did. all the teams in the college playoff are mid/meh at the end of this thing. I got a dollar that says a non-SEC/BIG10 team takes one of them down in this dance. All it takes is a team having a good day and a SEC/BIG10 having a bad one.
  22. Best two teams in ACC - Clemson and SMU. And that’s who was there in the end. Ward just a good QB on a bad team. Colorado finished as the 4th best team in the Big12, you finally conceded Sanders holds the ball way too long, and now I believe you have shifted that Deion could bounce and are conceding IMO his grift/game a little bit which is basically all me and you have talked this season. Folks should go ahead and bet against Texas MAYBE you finally get something right with Hunter and the Heisman.
  23. I didn’t think it was a secret who my team is. but if we are keeping score this season, you been pretty dang wrong on college football
  24. 100%. You can pickup a new team by degree/attendance or I’ll even give folks moving (whether it’s your team or you moving). But someone that just changes up teams for a winner or shiny object? That’s the worst
  25. Um, Clemson is my team. My only team since I learned to walk. That’s how sports is supposed to go boss.
