Thoughts on Fitterer's press conference
CRA replied to Leeroy Jenkins Ph.D.'s topic in Carolina Panthers
We have 4 years as a starting QB in the NFL and his college years to judge Sam. He is a happy feet turnover machine that can read a field. And that has always been the case. OL protection or not. -
No. We beat 2 teams that featured rookies on and teams making their NFL debut and a hurricane displaced team that lost all their coaches to covid. We struggled to beat Jets. We got very lucky with Sam putting the ball multiple times on the ground vs Hou. And the Saints were a complete mess for a thousand reasons
-
ST and OL coach were the same one speculated that he would sacrifice in season if needed. They weren’t his boys from college. and it looks like he threw in one Baylor guy that he only worked work for 2 years to make it not so glaring. probably hires brother in law or some poo. That went to Temple for a semester or something

Yes, I know. Just like Sam isn’t. And Sam is much worse than Teddy. but Teddy wasn’t our QB this season. So why are they forced into Sam next year. Teddy was under contract to be the dude this season.
-
Teddy wasn’t our QB this season. So you always have a choice.
-
Look, Clemson and Ohio St aren’t in the playoffs this year! Totally different. And Bama missed that one time too. Remember! lol. But yeah, you right. you can pretty much pick some variation of Bama, Clemson, Ohio St, random SEC team, Notre Dame and almost hit it every year. OU obviously prior to the move and now just lump them into the random one year SEC rotation.
-
Well, the GM/HC still seem to be rolling pretty hard today towards Sam. And as noted in the presser, they were different with Teddy at this time last year.
-
Samir is making the deals with the input and influence of the HC/GM. So whoever you want to put it on. The contracts this FO makes. that’s a worry. Nothing sound about Robby and Sam. That’s not something a good FO does. I think we got a lot more pain coming and I think we have lost sight of how lucky we were to pull of Fox and Ron windows back to back. Those were two solid runs in reality. It’s not Tomlin or Bill type runs. But there is a lot worse than what we had been doing.
-
He had a OL at USC. Yet nothing but fumbles and INTs. And he had time in NY where the OL play wasn’t disastrous. Everyone tries to define his NY career as all being like his final year. It wasn’t. Sam can’t read a field. Can’t stay in rhythm and go throw when he should Z Giving him time leads to disaster too. Basically all be can do is dink and dunk. Ask more of that and Sam does Sam things. Always has. Always will.

I think Bama’s game plan should be to intentionally be one dimensional to a degree. let the pass setup some running but screw trying to come out and run the football
-
Sam gets worse every year. That’s where letting him work on it gets you. Worst starter for 4 years in the NFL. You somehow need 5.
-
I thought we would go Jimmy G, Daniel Jones or someone like that. That seemed very Rhule But as of today, I think these clowns are all doubling down on the same glaring mistakes. Tepper on Rhule and then Rhule on Darnold. I think it will Sam, PJ and a draft pick as our QBs. 2nd rounder.
-
Unless Bama is playing Clemson…I don’t pick against Bama. Bama has the best overall roster basically every single season. Bama is just a bad matchup. Think they drop back and beat them again. And they have the coaching/big game edge….this is like walking to the mailbox for Saban. But I’ll pull for UGA. Just think Bama takes it
-
Might be a case of wrong place at the wrong time. He also checks off the box he could take over as interim. Legit NFL OC time, XFL HC, etc. Because Matt Rhule will still be Matt Rhule.
-
As I said, he is an improvement over anything Rhule has had to date. But that isn’t saying much. He basically has a new job every year. Not sure he has really hung around long enough to fail or succeed anywhere. his only OC job I felt was strictly because he had relationship with Luck from Stanford. Is he a NFL OC if he wasn’t Luck’s college OC?
-
If Sam Darnold is a promising young QB who played one of his best games this past weekend….then Pep can be a rockstar. Anything can be anything you want in Carolina.
-
was that Pep? Was LSU’s record breaking season Joe Brady? Current OC had a top tier pass attack the year prior when then GM traded away Nuk Hopkins. Yeah, he had Watson but there wasn’t much in Hou then either. Gets hard to tell sometimes. Passing game coordinator isn’t calling the O. if Pep is that good….why has he bounced around so heavily since he was fired in Indy. He basically has turned into a one year bounce around rental.
-
That basically has been every Rhule moment since camp when behind a mic and answering questions about what is going on. well, Harbough is a great coach. Great football team. I hope to be like him one day. I told him it’s his show. We will do whatever you want. Yeah, it’s my city but you make the calls. I’m here to help you. Hope our team can be a NFL team one day too. Any who Jim is going to tell me what to do and I’ll do that. What? You aren’t playing Lamar in the preseason game? Gotcha. No Sam either then. Basically the same guy. the fact this drowning coach is allowed to keep on keepin on is just insanity.
-
Tepper is in Jersey or FL or wherever he lives not giving a poo.
-
I like when he was asked if he would do anything different in hindsight…..and he couldn’t come up with anything. that must be how you know the plan is working
