  1. Canales can’t do that. That’s already been answered. We aren’t waiting on that question any longer. It’s also not about fixing it’s about fit. It’s why Geno was “fixed”. It wasn’t Canales it was the O he went into. Geno was a deep ball passer and went to a deep ball O. It’s why Geno now sucks again. Bryce doesn’t fit and Canales can’t fix that
  2. Dalton might be washed but he functions as a QB is supposed to in these offenses to work…..that’s why every year when he appears he sets the passing highs on the year. and you can’t have a well run org where you have a unique Bryce exception for performance at this point
  3. The example of the problem is accurately seen looking at last season. He is so bad and lacks so many tools…..and we have skewed the bar so much you could see improvement this year. I mean he has been bad every single week without fail. So he could “improve”. Just like last year…and it screws us because we have a dude playing QB who can’t do NFL basics. Then you got people claiming he improved
  4. Canales doesn’t seem pass happy. He seems illogical.
  5. Nah, the issue with the Double Trouble approach is you rob RBs from getting in grove and getting hot. We know Hubbard gets better the more he gets. Rico got rolling today too. I think the rep split nerfs RBs to a agree and prevents them from ever getting rolling we got to good RBs. Thats a great thing. But I don’t want them altering series. You don’t get special days like today doing that
  6. I’d argue it’s the people at BOA. The ones who can’t figure out the obvious. but I’m sure the Teppers would like your post over mine
  7. I’m not a grouch. Water is just wet. And we get it thrown in our face every single Sunday. So I say the simple and obvious.
  8. He didn’t turn it around. After he imploded they phased him out and a career performance by Rico got us back into the game doing the absurd. this is the Bryce problem. The mental gymnastics on him. He is bad. He has showed that all 5 starts this year. NOTHING has been more consistent
  9. Oh and anyone pooing this thread is just so overly invested is been “right” about Bryce they are putting THAT over the Panthers actually becoming a competitive, winning, and getting on track to be a well run team. it’s just absurd at this point what this team is having to work around. There is no longer a debate about Bryce and what he is and isn’t
  10. You have to win in spite of him and generally need something absurd to happen to find a win Wins one of the biggest QB implosions of the year by Penix to gift us game (Bryce still stunk) career performance by Rico paired with the best defense on the season (Bryce still stunk) Losses Bryce stunk In summary Bryce stinks and it’s unfair to his teammates at this point.
  11. This would have been an easy win today with even the most average QB play.
  12. First name Bryce. Last name Young. Canales wanted 3 not a Bryce INT
  13. We really should just go back to that mildcat approach we did with DWill vs Atl back in the day. Think overall we would have a better offense most weeks and it would help the D rest
  14. Only reason they got remotely back into the game is because they took Young essentially out of it all. Rico got us back into this game.
  15. Texas did get UTEP, Sam Houston, and San Jose State. I mean, I concede Clemson should be in the convo still but it would be nice to pass the official title on. I thankfully didn't get to watch Clemson and won’t get to the watch the Panthers either tomorrow with a soccer tournament

    Disturbing

Reality is you can cherry pick plays for basically every QB and show examples of the OL not doing there job and imploding on plays. Same for freeze framing WRs and claiming WRs aren’t open. we know factually, WRs have been open this season and overall the OL isn’t the problem to the offense. We have a Bryce problem. He didn’t fit Frank nor Canales’ offense and isn’t going to fit most traditional schemes.
  17. Has Texas now overtaken Clemson as the most disappointing/overrated team this season?
  18. Tua is better than Young by a fairly large margin. Winning record every season as a starter. Lead the NFL in some fashion every year for the last 3 seasons (comp %, yards, TD %). Winning record without Tyreek in his career. Winning record without Tyreek in the McDaniel era as well. and that's not Tua praise.
  19. I got us at 31. Dolphins O is better. Think in terms of looking at the stats, we are so early into a season 1 game for each team is doing a lot of work to inflate our O and deflate theirs. The Cards garbage time really distorts how horrific we are. And the Phins week 1 really brings them down.
  20. I want ZERO to do with Sellars if he comes out this year. He flat out isn't on pace to be a good enough passer for some NFL team to throw him out there early simply because the team stinks. If Sellars is smart, he will stay in college (first round NFL money, no longer has the power it used to)
  21. this all sets up as the textbook game where Miami embarrass a bad team. That's what they do w/ McDaniel.
  22. The Renfrow comment is just to highlight his ball placement really shows itself with tiny WRs and it’s bad. Horn is even smaller by a decent margin. And Bryce’s deeper throws often aren’t NFL deep balls. I can just see Horn getting smashed because it should be obvious when they want to get him the ball
  23. My concern remains Bryce doesn’t seem to be able to put a good ball on tiny a WR and and Horn gets blown up on intermediate-ish deep ball
  24. I will be shocked if Horn takes reps on the outside. Hunter Renfrow is big compared to Horn.
  25. we spent a decade basically wanting to get away from the brand of football that Fox/Rivera offered us......and now we would sell our right pinky toe to get back to that (which was Wilks) if there was ever an example of the grass isn't always greener.....
