  1. I’d probably throw Carolina ahead of Washington too. But that alone wouldn’t make the list crazy. PFF is largely stat driven. I’m not going to argue every team but let’s take the GB cast….since it made your list of teams we should easily be ahead of. Look at what rhey are projected to have this year and look at there stats last year vs our guys and we are projected to have. I mean it isn’t even close to comparable. Yes, they had Rodgers and we had Teddy. But others aren’t going to over factor in that stuff in these rankings. Especially when our guys are just now having career years and don’t have a proven higher ceiling. Fair or not. Every team has excuses and excitement about guys that are rookies or have never done something yet…. I mean no one outside of Carolina is going to act like the Carolina TE group is a push with the GB cast that posted 16 TDs from the TE spot last year. Tonyan can play. They have arguable the best WR in the game too. Adam’s is a bad dude. He accounted for 18 TDs last year. That’s him accounting for more TDs than our entire offense last year. That ain’t all Aaron Rodgers.
  2. Why do you care where the RB group as a whole ranks? expand it out and it just brings CMC down. CMC is the best all around RB in the NFL. We have CMC, JAGs and a rookie. Lot of teams have a better cast behind their #1 RB. But they have weaker #1s.
  3. Well, just name the number of teams and which ones in PFF’s list you think the Panthers should leapfrog then if it is that bad…. Again, I don’t have firm positions. Using PFF criteria of including TEs….I definitely wouldn’t rank the current receiving group over…..A couple of the 89/Moose squads would rank ahead of this group. That are rounded out with folks like Prohel. I’d rank a couple of the Smith/Olsen ones ahead too.
  4. Teams that lose a lot often have inflated and empty yards. Like when Carolina trailed late in games and defenses would flat out give Teddy throws. Which he took. Quarter by quarter breakdown, he got the most yardage in the 4th q. And that was all he was getting. 4th q was also Robby’s best quarter for yardage too.
  5. As I said, I’d have the duo top half. But there are a lot of solid duos that have better overall stats which factors when it comes to doing a ranking. I’m super high on Moore. I think he is a lot better than his stats suggest. QB play has prevented his ceiling from showing because he hasn’t had the QB play since drafted to take advantage of him. if he has the opportunity, I think he can have 89 level impact. I don’t think we put him in enough positions to show off his YAC ability. My personal opinion is that it is the best in the division. Stats aside, I think there is a pretty decent gap between DJ and Robbie overall though. I can’t give a firm number on Moore. If there was a fantasy draft and I was building a team today? There aren’t 10 I’d take over Moore.
  6. probably pretty straight forward. Duh, they ain’t gonna fine me game check caliber money. I’ll show up when I have to.
  7. Well, that ranking isn’t a list of duos. It is ranking of receiving units. Which factors in your #3, TE, etc. If it were a duo WR ranking we would climb up. I’d have to think about that list overall though. Present day I think we would be 3rd in our own division to the outside world though. Which is what we are on that list too. So we still aren’t going to be super high. Top half though of the league.
  8. I'd call it reasonable speculation. Which is why it's the first question Rhule got today.
  9. DaQuan isn't skipping OTAs though. He just isn't there today. Only dude skipping OTAs at this point is Robbie. it's reasonable speculation.
  10. I just took it as DJ trying to make Robbie look as good as he could. Suggesting he is still working hard despite not being there.
  11. it isn't fan speculation that he is on a one year deal going into this season. and per the tweet you shared (via another WR), it is viewed as important in Carolina for everyone to be at OTAs this year. Only guy who isn't there? Robbie. The dude coming off his best season of his career.....and still on a one year deal headed in. I mean, the contract dispute is speculation. But that is pretty reasonable speculation at this point. As Rhule noted today, business reasons also cause people not to show. Robbie checks a lot of boxes right with all things factored.
  12. Not sure that tweet really backs up the "it's nothing" narrative
  13. I agree it isn't happening. But it's probably why they tried to deal him and he isn't showing up to OTAs. Not really trying to bash Robbie. I think it probably is the smart angle if you are him. And I'd probably skip OTAs if on a one year deal and a vet. Take a season ending injury in voluntary work? NFL/Panthers aren't going to care. That's it. One year deal isn't a great spot for players. Nor is a year where you earn your next contract...where you know the cards are working more against you than the last.
  14. that's my take. Robbie's team doesn't want him rolling into this season on his one year deal.
  15. he stumbled over words and got a tad flustered IMO over his explanation on Robbie. I mean, there is something there. It wasn't exactly clear cut on the why. I found it interesting when we went on to talk about the lone other player he added in that some might not be here for business reasons and he did his best to not get into all that.
  16. I mean, how high can you rank them vs other teams when DJ and Robbie only combined for 7 TDs last year. That's gotta play into a ranking like this.
  17. last year CMC was healthy, he lead the team in receiving targets, receptions and posted a 1000+ receiving yards. If CMC was healthy last season, Samuel nor Robbie likely reach 1000 total yards. CMC eats into all that. It's not mental gymnastics to say CMC will be primary target in the passing offense. Which will impact the production/opportunity of others.
  18. unless you are in the last year of a contract and looking to post big individual numbers. Great scenario for the Panthers. Not so great for Robbie (from new contract perspective). Depends on whose perspective.
  19. CMC and DJ Moore will be prioritized ahead of Robbie in the pass game. They should be. They are better overall threats. That puts Robbie 3rd. CMC's injury aided Robbie and Samuel Him not being in play was a factor in those two having the opportunity to post what they did. I think it is fair to acknowledge that. As well as Teddy's accuracy and being willing to take what was given....which also aided stats for some guys. Which is why we had 3 WRs with 1000 total yards.....and yet our offense wasn't that good.
  20. Yep, he was the #2 option for a very safe and accurate QB last year. He put up good numbers. He is in the last year of his current deal. His next contract will be tied to his performance this year. This year he will be the #3 receiving option for a QB that has a lot of developing to do. Liking Sam the human….doesn’t mean Robbie thinks he is in a great spot presently. His numbers should be worse this year.
  21. Jefferson almost put up Marshall’s entire college production in his last season at LSU…and then walked into the NFL and broke the NFL rookie record. I like Marshall. Think he can be a one. I don’t think he is entering the league where Jefferson was at though as a WR. He might can get there down the road.
  22. I mean, I love the Terrace pick. My favorite of the draft. But you are setting the bar a tad high I think
  23. Gase sucked. But Bell isn’t the Pitt RB anymore and proved that in KC. I mean he speaking truth…but also using that to deflect IMO away from the fact he doesn’t have it anymore. That year off did him in to a degree. Lots of teams have poo play callers. Think Shula has the best win % of any OC in Carolina.
  24. Notice how Voth doesn’t ever rule out Fiesta Taco Salad. I’m gonna dig in. Get ready for an I told you if we get a Taco Bell partnership.
  25. again, it all depends what reports and rumors you want to go off of. Pretty sure you were more on the Chris Simms side of things where Fields had odds of being a later pick and not top of the draft trade bait. but if the Panthers were willing to trade back and then still pass on Fields/Mac? (and you know I don't like Mac at all)......well, I'm ready for the next era. Value would have been way too good IMO.
