  1. How do you leave out an 11-1 BIG10 team in a 12 team format? Just this weekend, #2 and #6 just got beat by unranked teams. Took #4 8 OTs to beat an unranked ACC team. There just don’t to be any great teams this year. And non- great teams have bad weeks. 12 team format is just meh. I think the bigger argument is conference champs shouldn’t get an auto entry. I mean, imagine if Clemson and Iowa St win this weekend. Which both could happen. Coin flip games really. Spread think opened 1.5 or 2.5 on those. That would be 2 teams outside the top 15 in. If you can’t punish teams for losing, then you can’t really reward them either so they ain’t moving Columbia, SC going to have a stroke if Clemson gets in and they are on the outside and get sent to the Taco Bell Kmart Bowl vs Miami lol. Indiana won’t be talked about then really torn. I do want Clemson to win the ACC. That would be 8 of the last 10 and 2 of the last 3. That would feel good given the hate Dabo gets about the portal /NIL. I don’t care to see them in a CFP they don’t belong in though. Because they don’t. So Clemson would just get poo on for pulling off the ACC in the end. A win/lose.
  2. This whole season feels weird. There doesn’t seem to be the standard 2-3 stud teams. I think there I still a top tier but it’s weaker than in the past. the middle of the top 25 I feel has better odds vs the top 5 than in years past. I and dislike the feel the new playoff system. Imagine if Clemson wins. You got the ACC and Big12 making the whole system a joke. Because you would have 2 teams not in the top 15 taking up multiple spots.
  3. lot of post game flag planting fighting today…. UNC/ NC State going at it Michigan and OSU went at it
  4. Syracuse, GT, VT, Cal…..the comfort wasn’t seen by outsiders vs them. That’s half the ACC slate.
  5. No way to realistically make a run at a natty with that defense in Miami. They were on the ropes every week in the ACC because of it. I worry about Ward and Sanders at the NFL level given how they haven’t dealt with the repercussions of holding the ball like they have in college. Think it’s getting too much in their DNA…and NFL defenses will get home….
  6. Bruh. There is no ACC team that realistically had a chance this year at a natty. That’s been known for some time. Miami isn’t a good team. They have shown that all season in ACC play. They just got a crazy good QB on a bad team.
  7. a good day after all! if given the option of going to the ACC Championship or beating SC this am….I would have picked this option
  8. Yeah, Miami has to win to get in. Syracuse has a chance to win. Miami settled for a FG. 42-38 Syracuse’s. 3 left. TD here would win it for them I think
  9. Iowa kid post game had the killer line “Come to Iowa. Be a Hawk. See the difference.”
  10. AND….there the refs go. They were short there. All the announcers agreed and then suddenly….refs say it’s good after review. More work to be done though. standard much much higher to overturn a call in this game than Clemson’s lol
  11. Just a normal Saturday. They ain’t worried. They know help will come if needed. CFP needs Ward
  12. Syracuse Miami 28- 28 in the 3rd. Every Miami game becomes must watch TV. If things get dicey refs going to have step in
  13. 2 of the 3 last 3 have been fun watches. I always prefer SC to be good. I do wonder if some of that talent in SC gets sniped. Quiet day for the DL of Carolina but I wouldn’t be surprised if someone doesn’t try to steal that freshman DE with a big ole check
  14. Yes. Cade 100% tripped and pitched it to Mafah. That’s not in dispute. We agree on that. Mafah got the ball, fell to the ground and then attempted to complete the rest of the play….which was the lateral to the WR on the end around. You are calling the lateral from Mafah to the end around WR the ball popping up. It was whistled dead. Then they ran another play. the review then awarded the ball to SC after we ran another play for what happened after a play was whistled dead. How does that part work lol? How do you recover a ball if a play was whistled dead for a downed player prior to a recovery? I think the refs screwed Clemson twice. That’s not why they lost. Please don’t think that is my argument. They lost because Cade chocked and panicked at the end. They lost because Sellers should have been put on the ground for a loss countless times and they didn’t. They lost because our over loyal Dabo wouldn’t bench his favorite hurt RB. Clemson lost for lots of reasons. SC deserved to win. Those calls were bad though IMO. They exist in every game.
  15. To me the call was always about Mafah. Not Cade. Mafah was ruled down while making the pitch to the WR. The ball didn’t just pop up. Mafah was making the lateral to the WR (which was the play). So they call him downed while he attempted to pitch the end around. They whistled it dead. Then Clemson ran another play. Then the review. call on the field was down. Whistled dead. Then they ran another play. I hate a huge % of overturns in college and pros. To me they never clear the bar required which is supposed to be huge. To me the call said Mafah caught the ball on the ground and Wesco caught it on the sideline…and there wasn’t the evidence needed to overturn them. you even got SEC guys like David Pollack calling that Mafah one criminal. So it ain’t just the Clemson homer
  16. Maybe. That cuts both ways. a high level recuit knows Dabo isn’t going to treat him like a rental to make him look good or go. Which is college football now. Dabo still recruiting someone that wants to go to Clemson 4 years and be part of what they do. He still recruiting Christian parents. there is a place for what Dabo does. It just means instead of ever flirting with top 4 status like the ole days…..it’s being 15ish good looking for that auto bid
  17. Every couple years SC manages to find a way to narrowly beat Clemson. That was a good game to watch. You could feel that outcome coming though at the end early on. Came down to QBs late. Sellers one man showed it. Cade crumbled and panicked. Ready for the end of the Cade era. Hope that was the end of it.
  18. He controlled it enough to attempt to complete the play and lateral the WR while down. Call on the field was down. Catch before the half. No clue how you reverse that.
  19. SC also got 2 big questionable calls that took Clemson out while threatening to put up points in big moments. I mean, it wasn’t like it was a bad snap turnover where yall shot yourselves in the foot. Clemson made plays there.
  20. Beamer smoking that crack rock post game. Sellers isn’t the best player in the country. He was the NFL version of The Golden Calf of Bristol out there today. I mean props to his running. Clemson couldn’t put him on the ground. But that’s not good QB play. Just a tank that is lined up at QB.
  21. man, Clemson really beat them themselves today. Is what it is. They just couldn’t make the scoreboard reflect outplaying SC early The Cade choked with that panicky pick with a OT FG in his back pocket.
  22. Gamecocks now up. Clemson got a minute and 2 timeouts. Clemson let them hang around all game. Clemson should have put something else up ont the board earlier. Outplayed them but the scoreboard never showed it.
