Still a place for what Clemson is selling and that continues to show. And you got to think some type of course correction is coming to the NIL/portal. End of the day, Dabo is largely right. For a team like Clemson, most of the portal is just switching out bodies, not better bodies. And Dabo is grooming his depth and young guys for Clemson. the last 3 Clemson years, would be great years for basically the entire ACC. Same for many SEC and BIG10 school. The demise of Clemson is greatly exaggerated because people are tired of Dabo. The only real difference is we no longer have arguably the best QB in college. And we still remain good because Dabo builds good teams.

It’s largely talk coming from opposing fans and media. Sure there might be a tiny segment of the fanbase that complains but they exist everywhere.

I’m not anti Miami. I’ve literally been wishing for the return of FSU, Miami, or someone for years to help legitimize the ACC. I pick Miami to lose every week for the same reason I do Colorado each week. To annoy WhoaCam. They aren’t my honest picks lol. Same for UofSC, I want the Gamecocks to be good too. I just don’t want them to beat Clemson. I’ve done nothing really but praise Ward. In the last 24 hours I’ve called him great countless times. I have questioned how he I plays and how that translates to the next level when that comes up. But yeah, Miami is a bad football that happens to have one of the best QBs in the country. It’s not basketball. Football is the ultimate team sport. You could have thrown college Trevor Lawrence on a bad football team and it wouldn’t be a good football team. They would just have a good college QB.

Miami and Clemson play tomorrow in the ACC Championship…. tell me who is favored in that game? And Clemson is just an ACC team. All actual contenders live elsewhere
-
Maybe OU will fire Brent Venables after that …..and Clemson can bring him back home.
-
It helps him keep kids too. Why his model works. No one in college football plays more kids than Clemson. Starters basically call it a day each week before the 4th starts. He is always grooming his roster up each week. Hurts the scoreboard eyeball test and why his studs back in the day could never see a Heisman. Think if Watson and Trevor hadn’t missed so much action they could have padded their stats more for that race.

Restrepo is the guy though. It’s him and then the rest. He nearly has double the yardage and double the scores of any other WR you could name. I just think championship caliber defenses keep that O down…..and then anyone can put up points on that D (as you said). Good D front is going to cause way more negative plays given the chances Miami essentially invites for everyone

sorry to the Clemson bettor that was too late for advice. Score was 41-17. Clemson covers the 21 point spread. Dabo sits his starters. Final score 48-31. Lost bet.

Then we shouldn’t be dumping top end draft picks into RBs -

maybe. But given they called it a fumble….I think the refs disregarded the rule and evidence required to change a call. Which is basically the VT scenario. I probably would have liked both those calls to be different on the field. But they weren’t. So I do think Miami gets saved by the refs ignoring the actual criteria required to change a play just using replay to remake the call (probably correctly). Refs ain’t doing that for most teams. So I think it fair to say the refs bail them out where most teams get screwed by the rules
-
Here we go again. Miami needs the refs to save them. call on the field is what it is. We just saw this. There is not indisputable evidence to touch that call
-
I like Restrepo. But he if he is your #1 and what your O is going through….I don’t call that a championship caliber O. Thats not how Championship caliber Os with good QBs are built. Hunter Renfrow was a legend. But Hunter Renfrow was an accessory/role player.
-
I don’t think they are. Ward is. What Championship caliber O is basically a 5-10 slot WR. Not sure that Miami OL and Ward can deal with a good defensive front and see consistent O production. And that D hot garbage. Clemson would be favored today vs Miami
-
What are the odds the ACC has to save Miami late in the 4th for the 3rd consecutive week? Seems to be trending to high odds right now
-
And now got the ball back too looking to tie.
-
OU just got no offense at this stage. Gamecocks pulled off the early back to back defensive TDs
-
Clemson finally settled down. 31-10 in the 3rd. This one should be done.
-
It’s been a question in every single ACC game this year.
-
Louisville QB pulled a bit of a Cam. He should have jumped on that ball.
-
I mean sure, but you concede you basically can’t stop any ACC team in the country. And Miami fans still want to pretend the team and not just Cam Ward are good lol
-
Miami going for it on 4th down in their own redzone? They got it but playing like that is stupid
-
Might as well just tune back in and just watch the last 5 minutes based on how Miami games go
-
all it takes is a bad play and he basically can’t recover. Rest of the day is impacted by it
-
Cade Klubnik got dudes wide open everywhere and can’t hit no one today. Already missed 2 wide open guys for TDs on 2 different drives.
