In his 3rd year as a starter in SD he was a Pro Bowl QB in the playoffs….with 27 TD to 7 INTs. Bryce isn’t on that arc Using his year 1 where he didn’t start a single game and only appeared in 1 game in relief isn’t where you start the clock on a Brees comparison if you go by starts and reps, Brees at this point was on another planet from Bryce. This Brees comparison attempt is as silly as the Cam silliness

AT basically strong armed his way out of here

going into the season, I always said Jake Delhomme fits Canales better than any QB we have had here. Not that Jake's arm was great but Jake was willing to push the envelope downfield to open up the offense. The entire league has been sitting on our offense since Bryce arrived (Frank's and Canales).....and it makes football super hard. Small ball gets harder. Running gets harder.

We have had WRs open all year thus far. Bryce Young has missed them. That could change against some better teams later but to date, not getting open isn't our problem. It's the QB accurately putting the balls on people that is the issue. But I do agree Canales scheme doesn't fit a Renfrow and really won't fit Horn either. Coker probably fits the slot in Canales' scheme.

this remains a foolish wish, to try to wish the Bryce haters and the Cam haters into the same group. The micro example you have here on the board shows you they are not the same group. Same group that hated Jimmy Clausen hates Bryce would be the more accurate example.

I asked for the stats last year of his plays 20+ yards. I don't want ratings or video clips. What was the actual statistical outcome when he went 20+ yards last year when he was a "good deep ball passer". As I keep saying, eventually you can't run from that reality with subjective ratings on hypothetical what ifs or cherry picked video.
-
I see the Bryce crew is back to trying to gaslight people into thinking Bryce was a good deep passer last year lol. to that, I would merely ask the Bryce crew to post the stat line for his plays 20+ yard down field last year. It's on the board. It's really bad. Just like this year. Just like his rookie year. Not the PFF gaslighting. We know you can all share the PFF thought.

we saw a washed Dalton be inserted with Frank and Canales.....and the passing attack immediately became more threatening with the same weapons. We know a NFL average QB (which Andy isn't) would automatically make a team more threatening than Bryce. Not sure we need to see it for a 3rd straight season.

We cut Teddy because he outed an unfit coaching staff as unfit. checkdown Teddy Bridgewater plays like Brett Favre compared to BY

I mean, reality says he can’t. factually is he is indeed horrible downfield 3 of 13 with an INT. Thats reality. the counter argument that you and ace make….is all what if and excuses and imaginary plays happening that didn’t. and every year we have this convo and at some point a washed Dalton with step on the field and go downfield in a manner not seen from Bryce with the exact weapons

Renfrow for being a role player has been 100% fine. Heck he should have at least 4 TDs. Bryce Young just can’t throw the ball. When he does look Renfrows way and he is open it’s almost always just a bad throw. Renfrow also has been out there setting great picks like the big play to TMac, getting Bryce Young horrible turnovers wiped etc. You could literally already make a highlight real of bad throws to him by Bryce and none of that is pimping Renfrow. It just highlights Bryce fails at basics over and over every week without fail

I don’t have a problem with this. Coaches should listen to their players to an extent. No one was bashing Wilks because Gilmore told him he needed to go erase Pitts when that’s all Atlanta really had. I mean, they don’t need to listen to every player all the time. But when your RB is in a grove our your best defenders speaks….its best to not ignore them

There is no debating Bryce Young. There are just people arguing Dwyane Jarrett can get it done and life has been unfair to him…..because they can’t admit they have been so wrong about a player. MAYBE Young could get it done in the right quirky scheme with perfect skill position players. Thats not ever going to exist here nor with 98% of the other orgs
-
He can’t. Not by NFL standards. More than enough evidence at this stage to make that determination. For even a chance at one Bryce has to get a perfect look and that’s not NFL football. His weak arm gets nerfed too much when you get him off an ideal setup. Bryce’s ball placement and accuracy are horrible downfield. That applied at Bama. Bama WRs just had room to adjust. Bryce defenders just repeat this lie about his Bama deep ball. NFL balls have to be well placed to dudes only NFL open. Bryce leads the NFL in bad throw % since arriving. His accuracy and balls are garbage vs his peers. Countless plays for years where dudes are NFL open downfield and Bryce just lets the DB have just as good as a shot at it or takes the WR out of bounds. It’s not a debate. Dudes flat out open this year on repeat. He can’t make the throws. So the talk about not having speed is auto debunked and a distraction. Open is open and Bryce has gotten the looks

Hunter Renfrow has more TDs than every other WR combined on the roster put together Bryce can’t play beyond 20 yards. We don’t need to keep trying ton solve a riddle that has been answered. Even in the 10-20 yard range Bryce largely just plays the game to the sideline/out.
-
The offense is 3 of 13 with an INT when throwing downfield (20 yards) this season. We aren’t a passing offense.

Jags WRs have twice as many drops plus some as the next closest team.

Who is yall? The Bryce “haters”. This is a wild post bro. Bryce defenders jumping the shark at this point. I wanted Cam Newton before anyone was even floating he could be the #1 overall pick lol. Cam Newton is my Panthers GOAT. As a real Cam fan, it’s gross BY defenders are trying to use Cam as some sort of Bryce defense tactic. Comparing BY to Cam is also on par with comparing Jimmy Clausen to Cam. It’s pretty dang close.
-
Yeah, see this is where logic gets thrown out the window. Bryce Young rightfully catching heat isn’t in the same universe as Cam Newton catching whatever he got. It just makes no sense. Bryce Young has been the definition of a bad pick. You can hope all you want. Claiming what he gets is haters being haters is like claiming people were unfair to Dwayne Jarrett lol
-
Panthers have needed some sort of unusual occurrence to happen to find a win so if Dak has a once in a career type implosion or Renfrow randomly goes for 175 and 3TDs off Renfrow routes…..then maybe we can win. Lining up in a relatively normal game of football and winning doesn’t seem to be something we can really do. We have largely been dominated outside of weirdness happening

this explanation doesn't help their cause.

PFF always gives examples of why you pretty much have to largely just dismiss their methods at this point. Or maybe it's just select folks grading you got to dismiss but Carolina's grades always contain things that make ZERO sense. You can find it in some Bryce Young grades that make zero sense. Hell, one week Renfrow was the worst offensive player in his 15 snaps.....and he caught every catchable ball his direction, sprung Tmac for a HUGE play w/ his pick and didn't even get into run blocking that game. So it could just be some graders got bonkers subjective ways of going about it. But PFF is largely garbage for me at this point.
