WRs being open vs a meh Chargers team....doesn't mean Tepper isn't being Tepper, doesn't mean Morgan didn't help get us here, or that Canales hasn't done a poor job entering the season w/ this team. why did we hire Canales? the only team that was interested in doing such. He failed that about as bad as you possibly could. So bad it made Frank look a little more competent in that aspect despite Canales having much better pieces. The degree to which Bryce sucked to open up this season....you can't separate Canales from that.

Tepper not holding pressers and being aware of the PR of things isn't him staying out of things. He just benched Bryce. There is no indication he has taken a step back. Where was Canales Monday morning after the Saints game? Same place Frank Reich found himself. Dan has already devoted considerable time helping get us into this whole mess. Canales is just a podium polished and better looking version of Matt Rhule. He already looks like he is in over his head here.

then on top of that.... going into year 2 with a new OL, new WRs, new OC, new O, new playcaller......Canales doesn't let them rep in preseason to start figuring the whole thing out. He gives them 1 series vs backups simply so he could showcase good vs getting his brand new of everything team ready for a season. Bryce is a bad QB. But he isn't the only one who has clearly been bad at this job to open up this season. Canales gets an F too.

Problem is we don't identify the problems correctly. Start with the first year you mentioned. 2020. Problem identified as Teddy B as you said. In reality, Teddy B was perfectly positioned and paid to be a bridge QB. The real problem, was Matt Rhule wasn't capable of doing NFL basics. Practicing, game prep, etc. So you got a know nothing overseeing an all college staff. We weren't being an NFL team during the week. Which Teddy called out after he was thrown under the bus and was right about. We got off a plan into free wheeling nothingness of forever rebuilding and winning now all at the same. Fast forward to that camp where cameras got access for the first time in COVID.....and it was 100% obvious Rhule was just a clown drowing. and all skip to your last 2024 season - QB deemed the clear problem. In reality, we have a front office and leadership problem. This franchise hasn't had a legit plan of action with good folks at the top since the day it fired Ron Rivera. The fact Bryce Young was benched week 2 and the offseason was handled like it was, preseason was handled like it was and our QB room looked the way it did just confirms that. This present team at the top, is still a mismatch of Tepperism. The clear cut problem is you got David Tepper just randomly throwing people together and calling all the big shots too much. Each year we carve out a problem and assign it all the blame and excuse everyone that remains

Bryce doesn't have the tools to be a legit NFL starting QB But the Panthers did in fact create a nightmare scenario for him Two things can be true. And the second one is in fact true. Everyone knows how you ruin a QB.....Panthers did that and then some. It's not about defending Bryce. That doesn't need to be done. Letting the Panthers off the hook for what a bad org they are is dumb though.

all financial type sources estimate Tepper's wealth has grown by several billion since he bought the team. Sports teams are ideal places for the uber rich to put their money. It doesn't matter if the team stinks.

Detroit Lions went 10 straight seasons with a losing record. 2001-2010 Cleveland Brown went 12 straight seasons with a losing record. 2008-2019. It's now our turn. We are only at 6 straight. and here is your steady reminder... this likely isn't bottom

I didn't make an excuse for Bryce. I was calling for his benching before the season started. I have been done with him. Vocal. others just shouldn't be getting a pass for how bad they are. Which is the cycle here. I mean there was always a book of what not to do.....we got drunk and made an even worse version. That's not a Bryce excuse. That's just acknowledging 2 things being true. I bash Joe Brady as bad. Then everyone comes around to it but they then use Joe Brady to excuse all the wrongs that have nothing to do with him. Because he was only a part of a much bigger problem. Then people call me a Joe Brady lover. I said Matt Rhule should of never seen a season 3. Fired. Then people agreed and called Fitterer good. I said Fitterer was part of the problem and you can't use Rhule to deny the other massive issues. Then I was a Rhule defender. Then we fired fired Fitterer, I said Morgan had to go he was part of all those nightmare decisions. Now people pretend Morgan was running counter to Fitterer but silently lol. There is no Bryce defense. He sucks. But the Panthers without Bryce....have tons of red flags and issues. That shouldn't be dismissed in the name of Bryce being bad.

I don’t think he is for benching Bryce in a vaccum the benching simply brings to the front the fact David Tepper is still running all the big decisions. Tepper benched Bryce. And more importantly, it shows the plan coming to this season….big picture, was all trash.

I think team Fitterer sold Tepper on it. Tepper very much spoke like his GM sold him on the reasoning. It wasn’t coach talk Frank and Mrs Tepper team Stroud. Frank’s people were hitting the media hard that he liked a Stroud type and Schedter gave us the Mrs scoop. Early reporting was their was a divide in house…which I would assume meant 2 different parties trying to sell Tepper

this. Tepper is running the show. And if you eliminate Bryce....it doesn't wipe out the mismanagement of the org that still exists. Bryce is just 1 bad QB. We got into this hole with better QBs. Bryce being benched doesn't really alter much. Because Bryce didn't get us here. Who got us here....is Tepper and the people hired at the top of this org. And those faces haven't really changed much.

don't get me wrong. I wanted him benched. I would have benched him sooner. My mind is not on winning but getting balls up to XL, Mingo and Saunders. Dalton can do that. but we are still very much a dumpster fire. And there is a lot of red flags w/ the Bryce move. Because it indicates we have zero plan and forward thought, Tepper is still winging it all based on how he feels that day, etc.

and Tepper has a LONG resume backing that was a Tepper move/decision. Canales antics and talk just confirm that if you really listen. Those Monday morning meets w/ Tepper. Let's see how long it takes Mr. Sunshine to morph into defeated Frank Reich lol. people wanting to spin it as Canales doing it is funny. Predictable but funny. I admire that sort of fandom at this stage. To be able to ignore what has been going on here for the last half decade and still do that....

and if you were going to ditch Bryce that quick if he were to stink, if that was the plan, and in your heart didn't think he was the dude....you would have built your QB room different and you would have handled preseason different. this is Tepper being Tepper. It's the easiest call there is IMO.

Tepper made the call. And you know that by all the very carefully worded bologna and non-answers/dancing to simple stuff.....that came from Canales after Canales loudly declared Bryce Young the dude Sunday.

Cool, but what's that got to do with Canales. He isn't some great offensive wizard and play-caller. His one year at OC was meh. That's not his billed strength of why he is here. Much better coordinators have been employed here and they didn't need to call their plays here. They had enough on their plates to figure out. Canales took over the worst team in all of pro sports. He needs to devote his time elsewhere....and he should of hired a real OC so he could do that IMO. I mean, everyone would largely agree we are doing things wrong if it was asked about before were actually started doing it. He is a first year HC that needs to figure out how to be a HC and manage this team. And frankly his team should of been fined by the NFL for not trying to win and be competitive last week (that's a joke but the point is sincere). We were taking glorified knees starting in the 2nd half. That can't all be blamed away on Bryce Young. That's a coach not handling and being aware of what is really going on in a game. anyway. I'm just so done w/ this team. Glad Bryce is benched....but all the benching does is make me thing about what a nightmare this org is.

I'm not saying he should be fired. I'm just saying getting rid of Bryce Young doesn't fix the mess that is Carolina. And we should not draft and ruin whatever potential anyone has at QB until we fix it Bryce Young might not of had the tools to succeed. We ensured we got the absolutely worse version out of him though. And Canales, just like those prior, was indeed part of that disaster.

Canales management of things has been horrible too. From preseason to in game this week stunk too. and we are repeating the same blame and defense of things .... it clockwork at this point. The Morgan hire smelled bad, the Canales hire smelled bad, Jim Caldwell being involved smelled bad, Tepper right back into his groove of management smells bad, the management of the team preseason smelled bad. and heck, even this is the same recycled routine. No one is more critical of this team than me the last half decade......and then one of the predictable issues that was my soapbox coming in (Bryce right now) gets addressed.....and people will then call me a defender of Bryce because I refuse to let him be the scapegoat for ALL that clearly stinks here.

well, I was told we hired him because he is the QB guru of QB gurus. And Frank Reich not giving a poo and half asleep did more with Bryce Young. And he ran he mismanaged preseason on par with the legendary Matt Rhule. And we have had tons of debut coaches in Carolina....and he has orchestrated the most embarrassing and pathetic one of all time thus far. this is the scapegoat cycle. We have been doing this for a half decade. Every season. It was all this dude, now we are good! It's the definition of insanity. Way more than Bryce Young stinks around here.

We mortgaged our future. Traded away CMC, DJ Moore and gave up a ton of draft capital to draft Bryce Young #1 overall. Bryce Young got just 18 starts. Essentially 1 season (plus a game). And in that 1 season worth of play...Bryce Young got.... 3 different HCs 3 different playcallers 2 different offensive systems 14 different starters on the OL Bryce Young might of been a bad pick. We ensured we got the worst version possible. We basically set the whole thing on fire and now point the finger at him. And there is a reason Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, and basically everyone is performing a higher level elsewhere. The real problem in Carolina, is still in Carolina. No point drafting any QB in the near future. If you were to develop a plan to ruin a QB.....we are the textbook example.
