  1. Since it might of gotten lost in my last post. It's pretty simple. Forget talent/ceiling, we are working w/ a really bad QB. It's a trio that needs to get their snaps back. Renfrow, Tremayne and TE Evans > XL, Horn and Saunders. All are better operators in the area of the field where Bryce looks. Tremayne better than XL. Renfrow better than Horn. Evans better than Saunders. And the last 3 weeks we saw the shift to more talented dudes that aren't actually as good at the basics. but the change will be tiny. So who really cares. It might yield 1 more win on the season lol.
  2. LMAO. You basically echoed my position of this thread......and then call it excessive simping for Renfrow. Nice. last 3 games - 122 pass yard/ game - 9 pts per game average prior - 191 yards/game - 22 pts per game. and it's not just Renfrow. It's a collective. A trio. Renfrow, Tremayne, and Evans. As their snaps went down or away for whatever reason....we have gotten worse. All syncs up. More XL. More Horn. (and we really can talk about Saunders vs Evans).....is not going to help a bad QB out. Talent and athleticism? Sure, we have trended more that way the last 3 weeks. But the results don't lie. Bryce can't make raw dudes better. I don't want to get better. There is no Renfrow simping going on. My boldest take coming into the season was he should be rostered ONLY over David Moore. Literally no one else. And now my take is simply, better route runners and dudes that do basics better for a really bad QB that can't throw downfield was working out better. But the change isn't going to be much of one because Bryce is the QB. the Panther I was most excessively stanning for going into the season was the Gamecock. XL. Not Renfrow. I started turning on that when he got tossed from his preseason game as the dude is clueless. Now I want him benched.
  3. I think they have maxed out the run game. What we saw the Saints do is basically the final level of what a strong run game gives you…..which is defenses comically overplaying it that should allow your pass attack to abuse a defense.
  4. I mean, I think Renfrow and Tremayne are better options for a bad a QB than XL and Horn. and pass production has gone from weak to horrific the last 3 weeks that’s if you wanted to tinker for slight improvement. Which as I said, I actually don’t. But I do want Tremayne more involved and XL and Horn IMO would be the ones in the way of additional reps for him
  5. Personally, like most seasons, my eyes are now on the best pick possible. Now, I know some want to win and Dave Canales falls into that camp. What would I do? well, I would shuffle my WRs. Last 3 weeks we our pass game has been 124, 102 and 138 yards. A very clear step down of late. 121 yards per game is the trend which is a very clear trend down. has anything changed the last 3 weeks? One of the top 2 best route runners and most reliable to just his job and be where he should be has been inactive. While he wasn’t a high production player…..he had demands that defense actually account for a real route runner. And it wasn’t abnormal to see Bryce miss him for what should have been a pretty decent gain via a bad pass. And he is still 3rd in receptions by the WR group despite disappearing the 2nd part of the shuffle would be acknowledging XL is more of a net negative than positive. so my base 3 WR sets would be TMac and Coker on the outside. Renfrow back to the slot. Work in Tremayne. Do what you want with the last spot with Horn or XL. I say keep Horn active. and I’m not sure it’s all XL. But he is too raw to help BY out. He needs a QB that helps him out. They do nothing for each other. so yeah, Bryce Young needs the best possible collection of route runners and dudes that know how to do their jobs….and we should be treating him like a rookie. Thats if you actually wanted to get better. I don’t. I do think they should bench XL for Tremayne and just rep him super heavy as he seems to actually be the one most worth trying on the roster to get volume to improve for a post Bryce world
  6. I don’t feel the Panthers actually feel heat when it comes to Bryce yet. Canales said she threw the ball great lol. At some point, we need the media to really start addressing how inept Bryce is and the fact he is the common denominator…..and in year 3 isn’t better than meh rookies
  7. Bryce’s time in the NFL right now is purely because of the investment made into him. Bryce Young as a starter would have ended after his rookie season if went in the 3rd round. And I’m not in disagreement on DG. But we basically what occurs if you stay on that path
  8. He is dog poo. But his QB rating and QBR is right there with Bryce. He is also 5 starts into a career. Hell, same amount of games over 200 this year Browns won’t play him for 3 years though. Thats the real difference
  9. One is a rookie not prepped to be the starter coming in and one is a 3rd year starter with no competition. and…..Gabriel has a better QB rating lol
  10. Yeah, literally no one here “hates” Bryce. Even his biggest critics are complimentary of the human. But water is wet. We have been splashed with a cold wet bucket full of it for 2.5 years now. If you can’t handle people saying water is wet…..it’s not an us problem. weirdly defending Bryce Young doesn’t make anyone a “non-miserable fan” lol.
  11. Well, I sort of get it. Same principle as why Morgan went into the season with the situation looking like it did. I mean, there are tiers of bad QBs. You put a PJ Walker type bad out there with the team and the entire org and players would see a bad QB doing stuff the starting bad QB can’t do
  12. Who is the practice squad QB presently lol?
  13. I mean, realistically, the table ahead has scenarios that could easily go much much worse. Likely will. Much tougher games ahead.
  14. Scott’s statement about this team sums up Bryce Young perfectly Even on its best days, it’s barely good enough to win in the NFL.
  15. We literally moved on from Bryce Young last season. 2 games in. The entire talk was would he be traded in season or wait. Because you always deal the guys when you move on like that. We fugged it up. We should have immediately dealt him. We allowed the meh comeback to occur and then Morgan didn’t unthinkable and didn’t bring in real competition for a bottom tier QB last year should of been the pointless season. For no reason we opted to waste this year.
  16. D played solid enough. Horn fell down on both big TDs. Run game was solid enough given the scenario. Stacked box overplaying the rush. We don’t have a NFL QB. Thats the problem. You can only scheme and call around that so much. I’m not a Dave fan but this wasn’t a game I feel he was out coached as much it is simply was he has no real answer when he needs a NFL QB to be one. And it became clear very early the Saints were going to force Bryce to make plays.
  17. Yeah, that’s what I sort of don’t get. This was very much a normal-ish day for Bryce. So I don’t see how things should swing that much on him. only thing that didn’t happen this week…..is there wasn’t an implosion by the opponent and no one on the team stepped up to overcome what Bryce basically delivers week in and week out
  18. They did it. They moved on from him 2 games into the Canales era. Morgan’s management of the QB room allowed the comeback and he allowed the pointless season this year. Canales is fugged. Because now, Tepper isn’t going to let the clock start on Dave 3 years in. Nor are the fans.
  19. There is ZERO evidence David Tepper digs into his mistakes and refuses to move on. A billion examples of him being the opposite. People have have built this Bryce Young argument as a Tepper thing that doesn’t jive. Te most logical argument IMO is team Fitterer ultimately sold Tepper on Bryce. That was the reported split. GM offense and Frank. Tepper side with the GM offense. We got Bryce. But the Fitterer crew is still here.
  20. Yes, Tepper hires bad people. They do bad things. Which ultimately is why Tepper the core problem. But he isn’t going anywhere. So the only hope is to properly out when his hires do dumb things…..and Morgan has been very dumb with Bryce. only hope is Tepper by the law of averages lucks into a good hire
  21. He isn’t a Carolina Panther. MIke White is the guy
  22. Canales benched Bryce 2 games into the Canales era and Bryce was left for dead. Morgan screwed it up by not dealing Bryce then. Which was all the talk. Morgan is the one who allowed this nightmare for us not to get away from Bryce. I can’t stand Tepper. But Tepper is too often a scapegoat for his bad hires. Morgan was a bad GM hire and he has kept us stuck to the problem he and Fitterer first created
  23. I don’t have the energy but someone should look up his stats at the half all season. It’s like a middle school football QB
