Simmons is the textbook uber athlete…that has no positional home in the NFL. I mean would he better than the 53rd defensive player that is just running kickoff coverage? I’d say yes. Our defensive roster is trash. He is better than some guys but he has no big picture purpose

Some gymnastics here to do the standard Panthers have to be right……and that almost always goes wrong. it’s not a devastating health issue….when you get diagnosed and figure out what is wrong….and now feel good. Hunter Renfrow was not running a slant. They threw a slant. That was the INT. Renfrow was clearly setting up his cut. Clear body language of that pick shows him setting it up. Renfrow is better than Moore. Renfrow also does something no one else on this roster does….which this team lacks. It’s standard Panthers being the Panthers. Making easy hard

I don't see how. I have consistently favored young players. So I have zero issues w/ the rookies. Moore nor Renfrow fall into that camp. The convo is only about Moore. Not the young guys making it over him. I have disagreed w/ the Panthers decision makers very often this time of year for several years. The Panthers decision makers do not have a great track record vs those criticisms.

well, what the problem w/ our offense? If you had to define the primary issues? well, David Moore is the total package of all those issues wrapped up into one player. So yeah, the feel good local product and watching his comeback was easily a better sell to the fanbase. There isn't going to be a TON to enjoy this year.

Horn and Tremayne are rookies with unknown potential and ceilings. I'm cool w/ that given we are a development team. David Moore just adds nothing to the equation. Doing lots poorly isn't really a plus. Hunter Renfrow is the best short route runner on the roster and would have been quick and easy pass option for Bryce to help move chains if called upon (no one gets open on this roster for Bryce to get easy throws).

Moore is just a ST warm body. Canales claiming he made it for special teams is just goobly goo for his guy that follows him at every stop. Then it gets repeated.

I got no issue w/ Horn taking a spot. I don't love him as a week 1 PR guy though. I mean, if they cut Renfrow and Moore? I'd be like......sucks but I get it. Moore being on the roster just highlights negatives about our decision makers....and you know it isn't going to just be Moore where they exercise their bad decision making. We are where we are because of it.

no issue from me on Brycen. I'm pro youth and potential. I don't even care about Renfrow getting cut in a vaccum. But keeping Moore over him and just on the roster at all at this point......just highlights we are still poorly run. Upgrading over Moore is child's play for a front office. Yet we can't do it.

high drop %, horrific YAC per reception , and doesn't get open. David Moore doesn't actually do anything well. He is a ST team warm body. There are reasons we are the worst team in all of pro sports. It the decision makers. I mean, forget Renfrow. Moore still being on this roster highlights all you need to know about why we stink. Easily better options everywhere to upgrade over dude . Now multiply it out. If they can't upgrade the glaringly easy stuff.....you know they can't do it elsewhere.

if you they didn't want the OG slot WR of the ACC in Renfrow.....go sign the younger variant. Restrepo was cut.

KB was never any good. If you mass target anyone all season they eventually hit 1000 yards. Think he was top 5 in targets that year. Which always made his just barely 1k season way overstated.

Jaycee Horn said they couldn't cover Hunter's routes. It's on film of him still cooking guys on routes in practice. Easily the best short route runner on the team and not close. Dave Canales just keeping his guy. Who was one of the worst in all the NFL last year.

Simmons is just a freak show college football player. With no positional fit in the NFL. Heck, he would be good depth at a min. Throwing him out there on ST coverage.

We kept David Moore. We aren't prioritizing football.

It's totally the Panthers way to put out someone week 1 who isn't a punt returner in the NFL and just pray..... It's like Donald Trump and Joe Biden had a baby....and then that baby was dropped on it's head. That's the Panthers.

Horn showed nothing. No evidence Horn can be on a NFL field yet. and Renfrow is the only actual NFL punt returner on this roster. Everyone else is a hold your breathe and pray tryout come week 1.

Panthers cut Hunter Renfrow. One of the FEW entertaining, feel good things, this horrible org had going for it this year. Local product. Great human. Great story. It was going to be one of the very slim nice aspects of yet another boring losing season. oh, not just the front office. Dave too. Keeping trash bum no good Moore over him.

yeah, now it's going to get awkward. The team circles pay attention to all this stuff. All the wives and girlfriends see the posts. They all talk like everyone. Football is just a normal world outside of the fact they play a game for lots of money. Gossip travels. They know the Theilen's want out at this point. Carolina is now the disappointed failed trade location. So now AT takes sort of an inhouse hit in Carolina IMO

I think it's pretty well established on reporting the Theilen's would like to go home and get out of Carolina.....while taking as much money as they can. His wife's socials support that reporting. I mean, it's probably a game of chicken at this point. AT trying to wait out Morgan caving. But AT could just take a paycut and bounce if he really wanted to.
