Meh, you way overvalue his college work. Most of it sounded like poor offenses and Snow's D. Lol fix it with McAdoodoo? More like settled for the desperate coach looking to get back into a real job after having to consult last year. The good coaches wouldn't take the job, remember that? You make it sound like we got a great coach when it was a guy no one else wanted to hire. But he has NFL experience? LOL that the bar has to be that low to make Rhule look good. I never made Brady into more than a promising coach with way too little experience for that job with upside, the love you speak of is in your mind alone. The fact you are comparing Rhule to that is all that needs to be said. He isn't worth propping up but as a salesman. His coaching has been terrible. His running of the organization has been terrible. He just isn't a good NFL coach let alone an NFL HC. His record supports all of this.

Brady wasn't ready but he also didn't get the support to be successful here. I fully expect to see him again at OC in the NFL after he spends time with a much better staff and picks up some much needed experience. In the end, it all falls on Rhule. It was his scheme, his QB and his massive failures as a HC that led the way in 2021. Pretending it was all Brady just let you know you the level of BS you are looking at. Hell Rhule is still building a run game around CMC. SMDH, some people never learn.

What if Rhule turns out to be a really good just being a coach?

Remember when some people would go crazy when Hurney was called a failure? 14 years, he is doing something right. Turned out very true, we are still dealing with his mess lol. Or that Ron just couldn't change, he still doing the same old up in Commieland. Rhule hasn't shown jack in this department that I can see. The most I can think of him doing directly is coddling Sam last year and that was not a positive in any way. I hope Wilks can coach up the DBs, he used to be very good at that job. Probably oline, tho I don't know how much that guy has left in the tank at this point in his career. Not sure on the rest of the position coaches. As far as Rhule, he appears all mouth and little of quality anywhere else. That may sound rough or an attack but it is as nicely as I can say it. Hell appears to be a salesman and little else in my eyes.

Because with Sam we all know that Corral will get his shot and plenty of it. We already spent that money and picks on Sam, just play him for a few weeks and see if Corral is ready. If they both stink it up, pick in the top 5 and try again.

I'm not sure we have improved the run D and also that the pass rush took a big step back with Riddick gone. Still looks like we are heavy at DB and skimpy on the front 7, at least on paper. Lot of stuff could changes this but I'm not one to bank on improvement until it happens. Brown, YGM or someone else could turn the corner in a big way...it just hasn't happened yet.

Everything Rhule has done and said leads me to believe he is exactly who he has been accused. Just a very unlikable human and coach to me. The thing is that everything you state is on the bases of Rhule and Co like everyone is on the same page. I'm not sure I can get on board with that at this time. Also, as much as I wish I couldn't say it, I still don't know Tepper even knows how bad Rhule is and how poorly he set this all up in Rhules hands via Marty's meatballs. IDK, lots of assumptions. In the end, I can not wait to get rid of Rhule. It was like that with me with Marty so seems natural for Marty's last big move, at least to me. Rhule is a clown and Tepper just has no idea yet. Nothing has really changed there except we got a fugging franchise LT finally!!! But no, Rhule is still a big mistake we haven't finished making yet.

What about other guys we could have used that 19 million on this year? That deal had more to give than just draft picks. Being able to keep Riddick comes to mind. I'm hopeful but I am not convinced we replaced him adequately yet.

Sounds great. Another box checked. Anybody else not hear a damn thing about BPA vs needs since we picked at 6? Huh, weird how they are trying to do both this year yet some said it shouldn't be done.
-
I think so. Ichey and Neal were close. I have heard multiple times it is easier to teach pass blocking than run blocking. If that is at all true then we absolutely did. I have seen nothing to indicate Ichey can't be the day 1 starter at LT and a really good one sooner than later. Rhule wanted a run first team last year, I expect him to get it this year behind a much improved line that can actually push in the run game.
-
No but it should be more fun to watch this year than last. I still think hope shows up next year but Rhule has to go. He is the turd in the punchbowl no matter the moves we make. Ickey is a stud, I'm hoping for pancakes!

Round 3 Pick 94: Panthers Select Matt Corral - QB Ole Miss
Waldo replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nothing has changed for me and I was vocal about it pre-draft. Fug Matt and get a franchise QB in 2023. That is the win this team needs. I can't even pretend anymore that it will work itself out this year, nothing left there for me. We got our LT, that is what I am celebrating which is everything since I never saw a path to a QB this year. This is just meh, I get it but whateves. -

All about that run game. Boring but effective. Meh in a dream world McAdodo can start him after working with him when he takes over from Rhule who gets fired mid season and we still pick in the top 10 with a solid D, oline and running game. That is the fugging win I want to see! -
It is as good as I could have hoped for. We got a franchise LT and a QB to throw into the mix for the year. Expecting this team to compete at this time is like expecting CMC to finish the year healthy, it just not a good bet until it actually happens. There is going to be a huge run game this year with all of the oline changes, I expect us to do well there but I also expect the trends we saw last year in the passing game to continue throughout this year.

Round 3 Pick 94: Panthers Select Matt Corral - QB Ole Miss
Waldo replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, super excited about Ickey. I don't see this pick solving anything long-term, it's just throwing crap against the wall to see if they can do better than Sam when there really wasn't an good enough option once Watson was off the board this year. This is about filling the year and upgrading from PJ in reality. You are 100% dead on about 2023. It is still our closest chance at a franchise QB. Hopefully this test run teaches some lessons when that rolls around. -
If only there was an available RPO expert QB to mentor Corral....
Waldo replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
If Corral tries to play like Cam in the NFL his career is going to be very short. Cam was the exception and not the rule. If he wants to stick around longer than his rookie deal in the NFL then he needs to play a different kind of ball. -
Yeah Rhule's guy vs anyone else...it will be Darnold until they get rid of him. Hell on paper Sam looks like a much better QB. This pick changes so little other than for PJ. I still think they go get a vet if they want to change who starts this year.

The perfect QB to sit on IR with our RB. Lol, who cares just get Rhule fired and get a better QB next year.
