  1. You laugh but they are going to build an NC Alabama team and show you all how to win a National Championship game
  2. Has anyone had any luck selling their PSLs? I have had mine up for really cheap and was thinking of making them like $1 to get rid of them before next season. Are the ticket resellers still willing to pay the transfer fees to get these things or are they just dead weight until they run out?
  3. This was all decided before the season started and I would guess that Frank signed on to what he pitched which is his same old scheme which is what we all see. They just chose a QB so limited that it compounds those known issues and what you see is a worst case scenario. He had a broken Matt Ryan and still had 3 wins before he was fired last year. He just came to a bad team that just made a really bad QB situation while not having any real ability to adapt from his thing anyways. It really is incredible how bad all of this went for them, from conception to any luck. It's almost all fail.
  4. The moves since Tepper bought the team is sub respectable Huddle any way you look at it. 1-9, no #1 pick, not much good in the coaching staff, not much good in the front office, busting QB, little talent on the roster and a completedisconecr in the roster building to coaches scheme. That sounds a lot like the worst of the Huddle to me.
  5. There is no safer choice. Moton isn't a LT in their scheme either, there is film of Moton at LT and it wasn't good. BC was the best bet and I'm still not convinced he isn't just a backup OT. If you were Moton would you want to make that switch after watching weeks of film about what goes on over on that side? I wouldn't. Might as well change the blocking scheme because it actually has a chance to succeed.
  6. I literally can't sit through either now. It's been 20 years since I could sit through a college game.
  7. That's what I don't get. People find it more entertaining while watching some busted talent be overblow? I just don't get that myself. The college level is almost all bad football so why is it so entertaining to people?
  8. The stuff he does, like kiss the owners' ass and manipulate the situation to avoid blame, is the stuff that keeps his job that fans don't see. Putting up with and effectively dealing with ownership is really the #1 job requirement and it has nothing to do with football. As long as that is the case then you're never going to get the best football candidate in those jobs with those kinds of teams. I bet they get weird calls in the middle of the night and have to go hang out to impress ownership's friends. That kind of stuff the typical NFL fan would never think about. As far as the football stuff? I'm taking half this board. OK well, maybe 25% of this board over any GM we have ever had. Unfortunately the main job description is dealing with billionaires and not football.
  9. I was hoping for a lot more than another Wilks/Reich level coach. I don't think those guys match well with the Teppers' BS. Reich ended up with Young and Wilks ended up with Rosen. Just running the most basic offense isn't the end to hope for, it should be the beginning. How is Peters doing there now? If it's good what would it take to make him GM and does he have any HC thoughts and connections? They recovered well from Lance but they still look like they can't get over their QB hurdle they have faced since Smith. So many close tries but not the big Franchise QB they keep swinging for.
  10. If that is their bar then being elite at that level means zip and it shouldn't be a surprise when obvious not elite people, Golden calf to Jonny Gootball to Bryce Young, fail in the NFL. None od those guys were serious NFL prospects because anyone not a college fan can see how low their quality was from an NFL perspective. I don't really get college ball or it's culture really. I look at it from the NFL standard I guess.
  11. For me college elite become NFL elite and vise versa. That would make him just college entertainment. That or you have to call the NFL bound guys more than elite which I'm not sure how that would work. He isn't elite on any level but he was entertaining.
  12. Frank is saying he knows what the oline is good at and he understands what he is forcing them to do and poorly. The only issue is that was his MO before getting hired here. Still sounds like it really is Tepper forcing it all but that dummy signed up for this. Job interviews go both ways dude
  13. I never said shy away from it. I have said that was a better direction since the season started. I just made the point of tempered expectations.
  14. It's is a real thing. You know what they say about having film.
  15. It is if he gets a runway to set it up. That worked in school but it's looking sparse at this level of play. I'm more worried about his ability to quickly see what's going on and get rid of it.
  16. It really shouldn't. They should have taken Bryce back to NFL basics that you mention weeks ago. Shotgun is fine if the D respects anything going on but when they don't then this is what you get. Well that and a QB who can get rid of it very quickly which means they need good vision...
  17. It also helps to take over when all the blame walks out with the people fired. Either way getting a half season of that kind of football can really allow your ownership to piss it all away by hiring another clown they fell in love with in the offseason. I don't see a quality option on the staff. Brown needs a lot more time at the very least. Caldwell is outdated and limited. Evero should be too smart to take that bag of issues.
  18. The element of surprise goes away after the initial use. That's like a backup coming out you hadn't watch any film on.
  19. Same as every game this year. Do whatever I want or need to do and keep a TV running so I can walk by and laugh at the terrible football they crap out every gameday and then move along until I pass the TV again for another laugh.
  20. The one thing you can say about Young is he can't stay in the traditional pocket and they need to give him space to have a chance. That isn't performance based but just an observation. He is swalloed up so fast I'm not even sure he can throw it away. Even with better blocking keeping the sacks off won't change that. They have to try but there is not much to hope for there. Run another scheme further away from what he needs or keep doing more of the same while talking about changing personnel chasing that dream and avoiding the sad truth about his severe limitations. He doesn't have the wheels to Willson it away and create the space he needs to function. They can't change anything because they already know it won't work any better and they also know they can't make what they want to work so it's full steam ahead waiting for the axe to fall. Plus Reich is the pivot point on coaching and his change record is the nail in their coffin for them all.
  21. There is a difference in college elite and college entertainment. Young was never elite and his best trait is useless in the NFL because his vision is so seriously limited. All that school film? Just entertainment with solid reads which is exactly what it looked like. There are so many 'experts' that look foolish on this one and so many videos that prove what they couldn't see.
  22. David Carr was as much the problem as his coaching and oline were...so sure. This is what complete failure looks like.
  23. I get they have to do what they will attempt next year but I still think it's going to be more of the same regardless. I have no idea what they will lewve for 2025. The trend is to give away for less. At some point it's going to be a practice squad team with a bunch of soon to be IRed overpaid vets. Hell that's not far really.
