They took it off the table early I think. Like week 2 or 3? Not sure what he can change tho. Less people blocking as he runs back out of protection? Take one blocker & 1 rusher out of that play and nothing really changes but maybe a 1 yard play?

Baker's biggest enemy from his past was himself. His ego was crushed here and he looks and plays more mature now. His supporting cast also meshes with his play style. Evens bails him out. It's a good setup for him. Both can be true.
-
If he could throw from the pocket they wouldn't need so many extra blockers and would have more than 3 receiving options. Youngs limitations put everything into a corner. It's also why running out of the formations he can run won't work well enough. It's all a dead end. There is no way to fix that with Young.
-
Weird seeing no dump off options but they are keeping so many to help block for that Carr'esk type drop back he needs. I don't really know what DC could do but pick his poison. I can't see one good option of what to do with Young that has a chance at working. It's built to fail.

He runs 5 yards back out of his pocket which makes blocking for the OTs impossible. He knows it and there is no better option for him so he keeps doing it.

I'm not sold on this build at all. DC handled yesterday better than Young but he still looked shook and not ready. The team was undisciplined and incredibly poorly prepared in all three phases. I don't know what the master plan will be from here on out but I need to see it. They blew enough money to inject some talent into the roster but the hit to miss ration isn't good enough yet to celebrate. The D is a mess and it didn't look like normal opening day sloppy. Then there is Tepper and that unknown. He can't be happy even if he ever did have low expectations for this year. If I could see some serious improvement and DC/Morgan step up with a good damage control plan then I could start talking beyond this horrid mess of a season but until then they can prove it like everyone else they don't deserve a pass yet. That team was so bad and so soft yesterday.

Well they can hurry up and bench him. It's all he can do until then as I see it. -

What are the conditions for free donuts now? -
Shared revenue kills a lot of their cares. They would have to look to be tanking for the competition committee to care? I think being made fun of relentlessly even by your peers would create some motivation to try another way but so far it's SSDY.

That was such a crazy part! It freaked me out as a kid too. -
Might be their best chance at a home game

All of Bryce's offseason work lasted 1 play Seems a moot point now

I can't believe Krispy Kreme is happy with that plug but I know they are not giving away many donuts this year -

If they get 2 1st, a player of Moore's ability on that kind of contract and more picks look hard at the offer. Most teams don't offer that and bow out. A very poorly run team did. I don't see another team other than us that would do that deal today. It didn't happen with Chicago this year. It's hard to tell at this point. I don't think the best QB is always the guy the media wants to go first. If I trusted the crew making the call more then I would be fine with a lot of things depending on the situation but this crew is going to be a tough sell for me given everything going down this year.

I thought Thomas at first and then remembered he was IRed. Must be Hubbard? -
The Bears traded back for another #1 pick. I doubt we get that lucky lol Depends on the situation. A decent QB would fix a lot of BS on the offensive side and there is a good line here now so far. Not sure this crew could do much more with it given the state of coaching throughout.

November 10th is the fight to the first pick. Yay

Lost all interest in the NFL thanks to the Panthers
Waldo replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well that is finally no longer an issue here. Now it's a matter of how long it takes the people running the team to figure it out. Another game like that and the pressure should be on from most directions if it isn't already. -

I have never understood that philosophy of avoidance. If a 6th round pick makes you sweat then what the hell is the D going to do to you? It's not a 1st or even a 2nd rounder then worry about you and go out there and prove why the other guy is a backup. It's not Madden and just tanking 17 games is stupid AF. What about the other guys needing reps to improve off of? That's terrible coaching and roster management. I would be pissed if I was the HC or other players and I was told to trout that out for another 16 games. -

Anything for a 6th or less is fine with me. I'm also fine with a PS guy who is at least fun to watch and can see the field. I would be happy to see PJ Walker lol. That's where I'm at. I don't trust this crew with a big trade and I don't trust their decision making in panic mode which appears to have started yesterday. At some point in the next few weeks it becomes an unavoidable conversation for DC. He didn't draft him and Dalton isn't going to last long. They need to find someone and just make a roster space for a swing in the dark they can try to coach up the rest of the year. -
Once he threw the first int from the pocket doing the stuff they worked on all offseason it all went out the window for Young and DC. The Saints picked up on how badly the blitz was being handled and DC didn't adjust because Young sure couldn't. It wasn't until garbage time in the 2nd and when the Saints pulled some starters that they scraped anything together but that was 100% fluff time.

Find new hobbies. This place will be more fun then watching the team again this year unless DC grows a pair and ask Morgan to go find another QB for the roster to rotate in. I can watch not good football but I can't watch the crap they have fielded the last 2 years once the laugher dies down.
