Mike Florio rags on Rhule, Darnold and the Panthers
Tbe replied to BlitzMonster's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Panthers are quickly getting the rep of a dysfunctional org. Tepper isn’t going to stand for that as it reflects directly on him. -
Charlotte city counsel rezones pipe and foundry site.

SC loves corporate handouts. -
Yay…a new place to watch the team lose. Charlotte City Council members approved a petition Monday to rezone one of the largest pieces of land available for development around uptown — land that has been eyed as the new home of an NFL football stadium. What is Tepper seeing that nobody else here sees?
Tbe replied to mc52beast's topic in Carolina Panthers
He’ll make far more money from the panthers than that little soccer team will ever make him. Tell me different. -
He’s a massive hypocrite. Everything he preached teams shouldn’t do he did.

Are fans the only ones screaming for Rhule's head/firing?
Tbe replied to CarolinaLivin's topic in Carolina Panthers
This hasn’t been about culture and all that. This has been about Rhule and his staff’s inability to adjust and game plan for other teams. It’s about their inability to teach the nfl game to their players. They don’t have the experience to put guys in the right position to win. Rhule could turn into a great coach — in 10 years. Do we want to wait that long? -
Mike Florio & Rich Eisen discuss Rhule & Tepper
Tbe replied to BlitzMonster's topic in Carolina Panthers
They have generations of nfl ownership experience to pull from. -
His job is to win…he doesn’t do it well. I guarantee you he’s complained to a manager before about someone not doing their job. Since we can’t get refunds after watching him, booing is all we can do.

This 100%. At this point, there is no chance of landing a quality OC.
-
Luke said in an interview last year that he’d really like to be an OC. Thinks it would be fun to come up with ways to attack defenses.

Yeah, if all you saw is uptown I get it. Uptown is meant for work. Not so much entertainment. Covid really hurt it too. Having said that, I’ve spent time in all major American cities and most ‘downtown’ areas are dumps now compared to CLT so I’ll take it.

Compared to what exactly? SC?
-
They’re having to shift strategy. With the Panthers scaling back access in favor of in-house media (which is typically favorable), CO is being more critical to differentiate. I guess the Panthers could retaliate but it’s not like there’s much more they could do considering how much they’ve already cut off external media. They killed off all the leverage they had.

I know Rhule is bad, but Meyer might be worse
Tbe replied to ENCPantherfan2's topic in Carolina Panthers
He’s every bit as good as Herbert if not better. He just doesn’t have anyone to learn from. -
I wish one of our ‘savvy’ beat reporters would bring this up to Rhule. I’d love to see his response.
-
I think Rhule’s strength is recruiting and motivating young college guys. He’s not a football tactician. He really should re-evaluate his strengths and stick to them. He’d be much happier.
-
Rhule NEEDS a former NFL HC as his OC. He won’t survive without adding experience to his staff.

What exactly did Matt Rhule excel at in college?
Tbe replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think he’s really good with young men who need a tough and compassionate father figure in their life. -
Wow. We lost by less than a touchdown with a guy at QB that has been with us for a week. They’ve had their QB for two years. We would have won if our D line was a little bigger physically so we could stop the run. You know Ron was 8-18 his first two seasons here. And that was with Cam. He’s pro level because Richardson gave him the time to become pro-level.
