Blows my mind that former NFL QBs frank reich and josh mccown meet with young and was like "This guy is a NFL QB". If they felt different, they didnt effect the dumbass scouts that loved his college game. Cannot believe alllllllllll the draft think tank didnt understand a 5'9 180 LB with a weak arm was a NFL #1 ovverall pick.

Thats my biggest issue, most of the scouts are the same ones form herniay eras. gettleman didnt fire any of them. fiterererererer has only hired like 2 form the Seattle and those were just additions. Those guys plain suck at 2-7 rounds and UDFAs. Saints have owned the UDFA market. Just about ALL of morgans free agent signees are awful. Thats his specialty.....

I mean.....its against all the books to pick a QB.... I feel you must give young another half year min. But if some stud QB happened to fall to the 2nd, I could be talked into that*given it will take years for a rebuild. Plus you could flip dalton for a late pick and after some time trade either byce or 33rd for some draft capital. Zona picked rosen(*i believe they traded up for him too*) 10th overall and next year picked murray 1st overall. washington traded up for RGIII and drafted couz in the 4th. Its not too crazy even thought it feels that way. The issue is watching young play.......but the new HC will come with the promise of "fixing" young.

That was the best rookie season in NFL history. Ryans and his staff, about the best 1st year coaching Ive seen in my era. He should be COTY easy.

Most reports are morgan handles the FA/pro ranking side of things, while fittererere focuses on the draft stuff. If that is true, god help us. I think @Mr. Scot can back this up.

Given the amount of holes, you can pick about any spot minus safety. Its going to take time aka years. This draft seems top WR heavy right now. Plus I feel a healthy chirst and colbert along with bounce back moton, boz, and icky.........they are better than this past year showing.... they must be. Just add some better depth. My pick is WR, honestly my true pick is BPA/trade alittle backwards for a supreme haul.

Not to bag on tepper or fitterererer. The stuff Ive seen mingo was the only player leftd on their big board with a high ranking. Calling smitty, whos been brilliant about draft WRs was to re-firm their beliefs. I dont follow the draft like past years, only thing a heard about mingo was he became ultra hot two weeks before draft day. Just jumped into the late 1st talks after having 4th round early projections. Fitz said somewhere they wanted one of the 2 OGs that went just before panthers pick. @Verge did you hear the same??

I mean given the talent issues and 2024 WRs are looking like 87 year old thielen, inactive TMJ, and slow mehhy mingo......Ive already said panthers need to sign one of the top 4 AND use the 33rd on WR too. Even doing that, panthers still need 2 more WRs and your pickens or ANY warm maybe talented WR needs to be checked out. Honestly fittererere/who ever GM needs to use that #1 wavier to the fullest. If any WR or OLB, TE, LB, OL, RB claim them!!

Yep. Heres what I know- Tepper wants to win as bad as us fans, if not more. Hes willing to spend, big time. He bought all other of stuff- bubble field, all sort of weight performance machines, made hot-shoe rhule a top 7 paid HC(most ever for a 1st timer), the 2023 coaching staff was highest in the NFL, etc etc. I even remember during coofus he bought a few giant robotic machines to go room-to-room killing everything. Yea hes a bad owner and has the worst W-L record, but hes trying to fix that. I keep telling myself, he must get lucky with a HC sooner or later. I mean the defense staff and special team staff are good-great. I have no idea what Id do if he was some ultra cheapskate along with the losing and poor coaching/GM choices. I want to say Id still be a panther fan, but honestly I have a couple doubts.

Ive learned that you simply cannot judge rookies until the second full off-season. Rare exceptions- early draft pick cut or someone wins awards, pro-bowl, break records etc. That said, early returns are looking horrible. Even without the trades, just piles on.... Plus with bryce being the #1, its hard to not judge him. I will add this personal note, my aunt came over one sunday and never watched football her whole life. I had the game on and after about 2minutes; Aunt-"My gosh that guy looks so small!?!?!"....." Bas- "Yeeeaaaa that was the panthers 1st overall pick, whom they traded a kings haul for".... Aunt- "Oooo my" So I'll wait until TC before I pass along my opinions, but bear hands always is a good read.

Sorry, I maybe bad at reasoning this. The LBs should be making all/most of the tackles, if not them, then the safety. Its a terrible reflection on the team D if one of your DTs is about to break the NFL record for tackles. The same would if a CB was about to break the tackles record too. More simply its not the job/role for a DT to make tackles. @toldozer

Until Bill is not on the NE sidelines, Im not buying any of these rumors. Again Teppers wants a HC to stay for 20+ years(lololol at frank hire), bill is what 71 or 72 and has giant issues at finding a current 2020s offense. Tho his defense are still elite. Still feel kaft will let bill get the wins total record and he'll retire as a pat.
