  1. I get the overhype but Colorado this year vs last year is still a big jump. The magic wore off because they simply aren’t a complete roster yet. If his son returns and they work that portal they should make another huge jump. He is basically doing what Rhule did for Temple and Baylor which as much as we hate Rhule was still impressive. I’m enjoying it because it’s another story that makes college football more interesting. Like him or not Prime is polarizing and we were watching Colorado vs WSU on a Friday night simply because of him.
  2. They have a young core to build around but need a good HC to develop this team. One more lottery pick to go with Ball, Williams, and Miller should have us a solid young team. We have to ditch Clifford ASAP…
  3. Yeah if we draft one this year it’s a late round project that dropped further than we had projected. Young gets next year with us investing heavily in our offense this offseason. We can do a full reset in 25 if we need it with an early 1st. Sanders and Ewers might play another year, Allar at Penn St could be there.. https://www.profootballnetwork.com/quinn-ewers-shedeur-sanders-headline-2025-nfl-draft-qb-class/# The good news is if Young is a true bust we will have a high pick which could attract a good coach. If we don’t have a top pick that likely means Young played better.
  4. He progressed under Rhule’s scheme too. So Rhule, Wilks, and now is starting to in a completely different one in Reich’s. I wouldn’t write him off yet.
  5. He was solid his rookie year. Started off rough (first game against Garrett was clearly bad) but had like 9 plus games without giving up a sack. He was coming in raw as a pass blocker and now we completely switched schemes on him in year 2. We need a center and BC back plus a year in this system and he should be better. We really should have considered our whole OL and roster when we were deciding on a QB…
  6. I really don't think anyone cares at this point.
  7. Smart play. Someone beat me to the punch in my league.
  8. I don't think he was on him all night. They moved him around. He only allowed one pressure. https://www.chicagobears.com/video/darnell-mooney-s-burst-thayer-s-playbook Here is a video of him against Moton and then Icky. Even on the one with Icky if Young didn't run into the pressure on the right side he may have been fine. Not sure how PFF grades that. Young was already down and Icky kind of gave up when he saw that.
  9. That's not positive! Ban yourself! (kidding) I think his main point was give him time before you write him off. Yeah in a redo draft we trip over ourselves running to draft Stroud IMO.
  10. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/lists/panthers-colts-week-9-2023-pff-grades-bryce-young-miles-sanders-brian-burns/ Week 9 he was our second highest offensive player. Week 10 he was one of the best graded OL in the NFL. It makes sense he was struggling early, but he is currently trending up (Dallas will make him drop again I'm sure). It would be nice if he could get some consistency beside him with a decent LG as well. That might be hurting Bozeman too.
  11. Didn't he just have back to back solid weeks? He has definitely struggled in this new scheme, but he looked decent these past couple games. Lets get a good LG beside him and see if he looks better first. That BC injury killed us. Worst case scenario is what @LinvilleGorge suggested and we switch BC and Icky next year. We really need a good center though. Bozeman looks awful in our scheme. Also depth (obviously) has to be addressed.
  12. Well we had Haynes for one game. I wanted to see Haynes and Burns together in this 3-4…
  13. Correct. They can highlight specific issues, but there are many outside factors that go into it as well.
  14. The footwork is definitely an issue. I think it was a perk for him in college. He was able to make off platform throws in tight places (like Mahomes does in the NFL). The problem is he doesn’t have the arm strength to do this in the NFL. Mahomes is one of the few who can because he is a unicorn. It’s going to be tough to fix this and takes away one of the things that was considered s strength for him in college. We he has a clean pocket he has to learn to have his feet planted but it’s going to be tough to learn this after a lifetime of the opposite.
  15. Yeah damn analytics WTF do they prove. Bryce shares plenty of the blame but so does our staff/offense as a whole.
  16. Even with those skewing it to a degree, this is pretty terrible data. I’d say both correlate too. If WRs aren’t separating and dropping passes with CBs sitting on predictable routes then rookie QBs are going to get more hesitant to throw the ball. His footwork isn’t going to get better either until we fix the interior of the OL. We need a new center and depth for when BC returns. BC’s injury killed our OL.
  17. 100%. Also footwork and fundamentals is how Brees made it work with his smaller frame. He literally hopped around the pocket with his feet set going through his progressions.
  18. With our running game I doubt it, but who knows? You are rocking a house divided this Sunday right?
  19. Lol I get it. Just saying sometimes strange things happen. “That’s why they play the game.”
  20. I don’t think they have one anymore. Houston sucks balls and Stroud is winning by himself as a one man show? That’s all I can make out of it….
  21. If Mingo can consistently get open and get some YAC then yes Young would have a playmaker. That’s how it’s works. They have more speed and an OC that knows how to work with his QB to get his weapons open. You can go read the data if you don’t like it. Houston’s OL is giving him more time, his weapons are catching it more often with more separation and getting YAC on top of it. Stroud is still having a MVP type year. When Rodgers was clicking in GB the same things were happening. If you get an elite QB with a staff that knows what they are doing good things happen fast. What team outside of SF snd maybe the Eagles does Mills get more than 2 wins? Schultz, Dell, plus Ryans and his OC weren’t there last year. So yeah they were a worse team plus they had a bad QB. That’s the interesting part about all of this. How quickly Houston is turning it around. Most important is getting Stroud, but no other rookie has seen this type of success so early. Part of that is a credit to Houston like it or not. I’m sorry that bothers you for some strange irrational reason.
