Tepper, Fitts, Reich, Brown have all claimed they have. It’s not like he was some crazy reach at 1. Lots of analysts had him at one. We have to blow it up, get one more look at him next year with some actual help then decide if we move on or not in 2025.

How can we evaluate Young or any QB in this offense, but especially a rookie with this kind of constant pressure?

Bryce Young has 4 pick sixes in a season. In game 10 out of 17...

It looked on target to me. Dude just made a play. The zip/velocity gets mentioned on here a lot but I honestly don’t see it anywhere else. Was it a bullet? No but it looked fine. The read was the bigger issue to me. Reich leaving him back there with 5 wide knowing Zavala and Boze can’t block poo is another big issue. -

This one was just a hell of a play by that CB. He has 4 this year. The problem was Young missed Tremble with no one covering him. You have to take advantage of blown coverage like that. -

Titans OL is a mess right now too. I live in TN and many of their fans were upset about how bad their OL is.
-
He will bounce back with some weapons and better OL play. If he is as mentally tough as claimed he will be ok. We need Fitt gone so a competent GM can give him what he needs and Reich gone so a HC can actually scheme to our strengths.

He is in for a tough wake up call in the NFL.

Thought as to why frank may get canned monday
ForJimmy replied to RumHam's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don’t agree with this. If Frank’s offense and Fitt’s roster share part of the blame for Young’s struggles we should at least see how he looks under another coach. Even promote from within since this staff was all in on Young. Give whomever it is the rest of this season and the next. People like to say coaches won’t come here, but the Colts got a solid one after their owner totaled meddled with the depth chart, fired Reich midseason, and has a list of irrational behavior. These assistant coaches typically jump on chances when they are offered. Remember when Dorsey was getting some looks last year? Well now he is a midseason fired OC. A lot can change fast and a lot of them will jump on an opportunity if given the chance. -
[GRAPH] Bryce's accuracy + separation for WRs
ForJimmy replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
I already said the accuracy part needs to look at distance because Young should lead it with his low YPA. The lack of separation is pretty obvious to most of us that are watching it, but that’s the most telling part of the chart. People that love Bryce will point to it, people that don’t will critique it just like any chart/data. -

Having the potential top QB in the 25 draft will help. WRs and weapons will have NFL scouts at many games. I think young men are still going to love a chance to play for Prime. Easy bowl eligible team plus possible more next year IMO. The PAC 12 also won’t be as hard as it is this year.

They had 1 win last year right? I mean Air Force beat them 41-10. https://www.espn.com/college-football/team/schedule/_/id/38/season/2022 Check out those scores. They were at the complete bottom. I don’t think he sends players packing again. He has his guys and now he can build on it. We can see how they do next year, but damn if it’s not entertaining.

You have to factor dropped passes and missed targets. Mac just completely missed a wide open TE for the game winner. I’ve seen several of Young’s bounce off the heads of our TE in the end zone. The most misleading thing about this chart to me is the YPA. Young should be the most accurate with the lowest YPA. It does highlight our lack of selection issue to me at least. -
I get the overhype but Colorado this year vs last year is still a big jump. The magic wore off because they simply aren’t a complete roster yet. If his son returns and they work that portal they should make another huge jump. He is basically doing what Rhule did for Temple and Baylor which as much as we hate Rhule was still impressive. I’m enjoying it because it’s another story that makes college football more interesting. Like him or not Prime is polarizing and we were watching Colorado vs WSU on a Friday night simply because of him.

They have a young core to build around but need a good HC to develop this team. One more lottery pick to go with Ball, Williams, and Miller should have us a solid young team. We have to ditch Clifford ASAP…
-
Yeah if we draft one this year it’s a late round project that dropped further than we had projected. Young gets next year with us investing heavily in our offense this offseason. We can do a full reset in 25 if we need it with an early 1st. Sanders and Ewers might play another year, Allar at Penn St could be there.. https://www.profootballnetwork.com/quinn-ewers-shedeur-sanders-headline-2025-nfl-draft-qb-class/# The good news is if Young is a true bust we will have a high pick which could attract a good coach. If we don’t have a top pick that likely means Young played better.

“I don’t know why they haven’t moved him (Ickey) to guard yet”

He progressed under Rhule’s scheme too. So Rhule, Wilks, and now is starting to in a completely different one in Reich’s. I wouldn’t write him off yet. -

He was solid his rookie year. Started off rough (first game against Garrett was clearly bad) but had like 9 plus games without giving up a sack. He was coming in raw as a pass blocker and now we completely switched schemes on him in year 2. We need a center and BC back plus a year in this system and he should be better. We really should have considered our whole OL and roster when we were deciding on a QB… -
I really don't think anyone cares at this point.
