  1. Stroud is out here echoing some similar views as @Zod https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/c-j-stroud-i-dont-think-bryce-young-is-playing-badly-in-any-way-aspect-or-form “Honestly and personally, watching the film and watching every game of his, I don’t think in any way, aspect, or form, he’s playing bad,” Stroud said. “That’s what people think if you’re not winning or you have a turnover here or there. Bryce is playing some really good football. I just don’t think people watch in depth — like if you’re a quarterback, you know. I think he’s playing really well. “Of course, there’s always things you can clean up. I can clean up a lot of things. I’m not here to be his coach — I’m here just to support. We texted a couple of weeks ago, just checking in on each other and it was nothing about football. That’s not our relationship, but personally, I think he’s playing well and I think he’ll continue to be great in this game because he has that swagger and mentality and that type of playing style.”
  2. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/jonathan-mingo/32004d49-4e17-0999-c137-d684c1d1ab38 It's just comparing their style of play. Big physical WRs that will fight for the catch. This was pre-draft so yeah they didn't know what situation he would be drafted into. https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/gm-report/draft-analyst-compares-jonathan-mingo-to-anquan-boldin Looks like they have similar athletic ability as well.
  3. Bandwagon??? Man we are 0-6 there is no bandwagon....
  4. I've seen Anquan Bolden as his comparison by a few people.
  5. Several scouting reports projected him as a slot in the NFL. He might be better suited there, but AT is currently holding that spot down.
  6. I said I thought Young was their QB1 and Ryans is pretty much confirming it. The S2 score has shown to be useless so let’s just never mention that again. Also both had great college highlights so cherry picking one clip vs another is just comical at this point.
  7. What am I missing? He has 376 yards and 0 TDs. Do they want a conditional 6th/7th for him?
  8. Notice Ryans wouldn’t say who he had higher. Just they liked them both. If he had Stroud higher he would have just said that since Stroud is the one he got. I really think the Texans had Young as their QB1 and lucked into Stroud.
  9. Keep churning the roster until hopefully you find a decent player or two.
  10. Was about to say he is too similar to AT. Honestly now that I think about it, Downs is pretty similar as well...
  11. So pointless. I mean sure maybe he is telling the truth, but no coach is going to say they preferred another player while the current player is starting for them. Even Ryans won't say they preferred Young because Stroud is their guy. He just claims they liked "both."
  12. Isn't he Jerry Rice's nephew or something?
  13. @mrcompletely11 was saying something similar and it makes sense. Corbett will likely have some rust and take several weeks to get back in sync with his OL.
  14. Smith breaks down what he is looking for during this game. He also flat out says he isn’t on the Panthers’ payroll. So that kind of debunks the posters claiming he was some PR person trying to paint a positive picture of the organization.
  15. At least Wilks knew to play to his players strengths. Power running OL trying to play some complicated zone isn't working. Wait until you have the roster closer to complete before you try to fully implement your offense. Wilks did a great job at getting our running game going and making Sam look serviceable most games. Keep in mind Wilks was working with the remains of Rhule's staff and roster during the middle of a season.
  16. Depends on who we are getting and what we are giving up. I wish we did what the Falcons did for Jefferson. It was like a 6th/7th swap. I even kind of like some of the Sutton trade suggestions. It was like a 5th and future 6th. Basically late picks for an average WR or higher picks if it’s truly a great young WR which typically aren’t available.
  17. The whole point was the get those 4 more deep shots do you want your rookie QB taking all those extra hits all season. I mean we still lost that Seattle game. Blaming the QB is easy and yes they shoulder most of the responsibility. Other questions are why did our offense go away from the up tempo no huddle quick strikes that led us to two touchdowns? Why are never running slants? Why aren’t we running any PA bootlegs to offset the terrible OG play? How did we expect our young offense to win this game when our defense allowed 42 points? It’s just a complete poo show and it makes it difficult to see where the problems really are. It’s probably a combination of everything.
