Yeah I agree. It can make a QB jittery or play bad during the game when the OL is struggling, but I’d like to think the good QBs can bounce back and get into rhythm when the OL plays better.

Why is Kevin O’Connell even on that list? I’d love to have him here.

Yeah Ben didn't go anywhere else though. It's a double edged sword. It's not fair to the fans or the players to keep things as they are. As people are mentioning it also ruins any chance of developing Bryce.

Maybe, but we would probably look better because most of the schemes would be kept from last year. Our OL would be a lot better and so would our running game. It would make life easier for Young. However it would be the same conservative play not to lose Rivera style.

Were we turned down by any coaches that signed elsewhere? I honestly can't remember. I think Ryans might have told us no for an interview....

I think that's why you keep it internal for now. Should be much less expensive plus retain a portion of your current staff which also keeps it cheaper.

I kind of prefer Staley. Who better to steady the ship, fire up the players, and get our running game back on track than Deuce?! This would have been a good time ideally because of the long week, but yeah the Cowboys would be a rough 1st game.

If Young was decided by Fitt or Tepper it doesn't matter who the HC is or was. I do think Wilks would have kept a similar run first offense so our OL would look better. Wilks has said he preferred Allen in that class so he would probably want AR this past year. Whether that matters or not is a different story.

2 games vs half a season is pretty big difference to make a difference. Two games gives you little to no time to make an imprint on the team. I wouldn't be against offering Deuce or Evero the job with them having their shot in 2024 as well. Give them the rest of this year with a full year in 2024 to show us something.

I disagree. The Raiders did the same thing and Pierce was all about taking over as HC. The floor is so low right now if they look just slightly below average it will be a welcome sight.

I think you roll with an internal guy like Deuce or Evero through next year. Then you can do a full reset if you don't see any results.

The GM should be meeting with the HC to decide the scheme and players for that scheme. We have a bottom of the league roster with no 1st round pick and no 2nd type following year. I mean that has to fall on the GM to a degree. If we were doing an actually rebuild we should have traded off players for picks, but we didn’t. We rejected trade offers like we were ready to compete now. It’s all either a lack of communication or complete miss by Fitt and this staff.

It was bad with Rhule and people can argue Rhule had roster control, but Fitt was still having some sort of input. Now we try the traditional way with Fitt having roster control and it looks worse... At some point it leads back to him.

Hey I was wanting him at 39 the whole time. Stroud at 1 Downs at 39 was the dream. Another slot is still better than what we have on the outside.

Yeah Reich forcing his scheme with our OL is one of our biggest issues.

I like Downs and wanted him at 39, but he is a slot which is where AT is playing. Slot WR might be the only thing on offense that looks decent for us.

It's not like it was much better when Reich was calling plays. Even with those years of experience the offense was by far the weakest link.

I can understand all of that. Every GM thinks they are making the right move when they make it, but when it's not the right move it falls on them unfortunately. The results are what they are.

Why wait to the offseason and let the staff that is ruining our young QB continue to "develop" him. It's pretty clear they aren't cut for the job.

So our GM paid out money for two guys that have the same skillset in Hurst and AT? Then he overpaid for an injured RB? I mean it still points back to him...

Why keep Reich and have him completely abandon his whole offensive philosophy? Get a fresh face leading this team and see if they can play some inspired football. I don't think Reich is inspiring anyone at this point....

What is Hurst's skillset that can make him look better? Miles Sanders? What about Marshall? The offensive line isn't being used to their skillset but all of Young's weapons don't appear to have much of a skillset to being with. AT is the only one who looks decent but we are force feeding him the ball because we have no one else.
