https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Caleb-Williams-QB-USC You might be on to something! where he's listed at 6-1 but as demonstrated by Bryce Young's somewhat elastic height measurement William's actual height may be closer to six foot flat.
-
-
True, but you could tell he was undersized by watching him play. Caleb doesn't appear to be, but who knows?
-
Yeah Caleb is 6'1" and I believe Stroud is 6'3" or 6'2" and some change. 6'1" is tall enough for today's NFL, especially when a player has field vision like he does.

McAdoo was our “rockstar” OC remember???
-
Valid point and kind of expected for someone as raw as he was coming out. Hopefully that number will drop. 4 false starts, but the 7 holding was one of the worst in the league.
-
Throckmorton has a solid name.
-
Settle down it was in jest for the most part. Mocking the size bros also.

Yeah it’s showing how Icky and Cross are a good bit ahead of Neal in terms of becoming a great young LT. I will say the Seahawks like to air it out, so Cross had the more difficult job last season.
-
This was data from their rookie season in the NFL I believe. It’s mainly showing how bad Neal was this past year.

https://www.bigblueview.com/platform/amp/2023/6/22/23766394/how-much-worse-giants-evan-neal-than-other-top-10-tackles-ickey-ekwonu-charles-cross This is a good article that breaks down the top 3 OTs in his draft and how they did their rookie year. Icky was right there with Cross with pass protection, had far less blown run blocks and less penalties. I think we made the right choice, but this next year or two will tell more of the story.
-
Reich and Campen seem very high on Icky. He is still pretty raw as a pass protector, but he went like 9 weeks without giving up a sack last year and some of that was before Wilks took over.

Yes power conference D1 schools produce the most players. The fact that there are plenty of examples of small school players succeeding despite a much smaller sample size shows that you shouldn’t write them off. You really need to pick a better hill to die on. So you would rather have Erving and Jordan still on this roster as depth? That was our other option at this current time.
-
Hopefully a good one falls to us in the 2nd.

Dalton was rusty and off in his timing. A lot of those passes were right behind his WRs. I feel like he will be fine with more reps with these WRs. His back injury caused him to miss a lot of valuable reps recently IMO.
-
He was pretty damn accurate too. I know it was a simplified offense, but he should still be making some of those passes he was missing on Friday.
-
Who do you want over him? Honestly he is deep on the depth chart so he very well could be replaced an I’m good with it if it’s an upgrade. The school thing just makes no sense. Talent is talent and our staff is seeing it up close against NFL competition. Where did Thielen go to school? What about Chinn? Do we need to cut both of them?

They certainly aren’t playing SEC defenses/offenses every week. Writing off a player that teammates and coaches are high on because of where he played in college is just pure nonsense. He outplayed a couple terrible vets for the 3rd string OT position. He still might not make the final roster, but if he does it’s ok. I think people on here are looking for reasons to complain…
-
I haven’t really noticed him, but I wasn’t really looking at our safeties. I know DJax has mentioned him a couple times in players that have impressed him.
-
@jayboogiemanyour boy is available!
-
Haha is that your new spin? They beat out vets who we all know are terrible for a roster spot. If a better option is available everyone is all for it. I can play your game though. What college did he got to? Tulsa? Not good enough…
-
We could definitely use him!
-
Yeah he has played there. It’s probably still not the final product right now,
