We needed a DT, DE, LB (maybe 2), and a FS keeping our same 4-3 defense. We now need a FS, NT, DE, and maybe LB. We needed depth regardless, so how exactly does switching to a 3-4 give us MORE holes on defense? It looks about the same except Burns is in his more natural position and Chinn can play LB which is his more natural position.

We don't need sideline pictures to guess at the height and weight of these players. The combine handles all the measurements for us. Matt Corral Height: 73.63 inches Weight: 212 pounds BMI: 28.16 Arm Length: 30.75 inches Hand Size: 9.63 inches Wingspan: 74.500 inches

I mean we needed another LB, DT, DE, and FS even with a 4-3 defense and that's with guys like Burns playing out of position. Sounds like we need around the same amount of players for a 3-4 except Burns and Chinn can play much more to their strengths.

Denver should have been playing against much better offenses being in the AFC West vs NFC South.

Please be Brian Johnson!!

It was mentioned that Staley with keep his current title at minimum, but could be named OC when they hired him as well.
-
It would be more difficult for the OC with Staley guaranteed a job, Campen as you mentioned, and Reich calling plays.
-
Big school, interior OL, and in the late rounds. All 3 point to a possible steal in the draft. I’d love a pick like this and to let Campen do his thing.
-
At least he appears to have learned from his mistake and wasn’t afraid to fire Rhule midseason. Mistakes and bad hires will happen, correcting it quickly and adjusting are promising responses.
-
Their defense looked solid though. If Reich and Staley can get our offense to be respectable it should be an interesting year.
-
Big stack of cash plus looked at Burns, Brown, Chinn, and Horn as a young core.
-
This is fantastic! We really needed a great defensive mind. Reich and Staley can handle the offense (plus whoever else we hire). I’m loving this new staff so far Reich, Staley, Tabor, Campen, and now Evero (who is on his way to being a HC very soon)!

I’d rather spend a late pick on one and also have Mayes fill in if neeeded.

I think Corbett broke his ankle and BC also got hurt. I’m not aware of Bozeman being injured…
-
Kind of makes me think if he do draft Richardson at 9, Hooker with our 4th could work as a complimentary backup for him. The offense wouldn’t have to change much. We are probably much better off with a vet, but it’s a thought…

The second part is how I feel. We have a very experienced offensive former QB as a HC now. I’m down with whoever he thinks he can develop into our franchise QB. It’s been a while since we had someone like that on our staff, much less with the input of a HC position. Most QBs not taken number 1 overall are a bit of a gamble. Mahomes, Allen, Jackson, even Herbert were gambles that their teams’ staffs did a great job in drafting and developing along the way.

The QB School : Breaking down AR and Levis

Yeah I watched that game (live in Knoxville so it was hyped up around here). There wasn’t much he could do. They didn’t open up the passing game until it was out of hand. When it was like 30-6 halfway though the 3rd he did start throwing up bad balls, but to me his only other option was take a sack. His first pick around 3:15 is just the WR getting hit and the ball shooting out of his hands. Check out around 4:00 of his 3rd down hike and immediate sacks by at least 2 different defenders busting through his terrible OL. It does get bad halfway through the 3rd though. -
I get that but between the two, if you are gambling anyway, might as well gamble for the higher return.
-
Yeah I think Richardson has the higher ceiling and is younger. I’d probably prefer him as well.

It’s a very good point. I guess you could argue the top 2 have more of the traits he likes his QBs to have like accuracy/footwork. They all need to be coached/developed though as few rookie QBs look solid immediately in the NFL. -
It’s a shame, because he has some nice quality/traits as well. That poor man will get broken in the NFL…

Check out his previous year. He was playing injured this year with an awful OL and his OC sucked so bad he was fired before the season was over. He isn’t my top choice, but there is definitely potential there similar to Richardson.
