One is developing with a defensive HC, no OL, and no weapons outside of Moony. Fields is projecting to get better which is why he would cost so much more to acquire. Darnold is what he is (a decent backup who isn’t consistent) and there is nothing wrong with that. Fields passer rating increased as the season progressed while Darnold falls apart that last game. Fields isn’t there yet as a passer, but he has potential to get there. The NFL sets the price to acquire these QBs is one is available as a FA for around $5 million there is usually a reason…

Wait you think Fields doesn't have the PHYSICAL ability to make elite NFL throws??? He needs to work mentally on reads, footwork etc, but physically he is good to go.

I mean you were his top fan before the game. He has a top 5 worst QB performance in history of the NFL and you think it wasn't his fault at all.... I think you might be just a little bit bias. For the record I don't think he is terrible. He is just inconsistent. If something goes wrong during play I think he will make a mistake more times than not. If everything is going fine he looks the part. He can run, make NFL throws, and seems like a good teammate.

Sam had a NFL record setting terrible rating. His team kept the game close despite Sam shitting the bed. That’s what you get with Sam. If the running game is rolling and WRs are open Sam can look the part. If anything goes wrong it’s a complete disaster. He is just mentally weak for the position. That’s nothing bad against him as most people are.

Teddy never played as bad as Sam did and Teddy had Erving as his LT… Sam had a legit OL with one of our top rushing attacks we have had in a while. Look how great our running game was in the games he won, Teddy never had that. Wait Robby had a career year when Sam wasn’t his QB? That’s odd…. How many games did Sam win last year when he played much more of the season? Sam also can’t stay healthy and never has for a full season.

Teddy did fine with a similar roster, but worse OL.

Stroud can add weight to his frame and be an average sized NFL QB. Stroud is an inch taller than Rodgers/Mahomes and weighs 7 less pounds. Young is a good bit smaller with a small frame and already got hurt last year in college. Young's style also concerns me a little to pair with his frame. He likes to run around to extend plays which is great, but leads to more hits than Stroud's quick read passes.

He looks like a steal considering where they got him. At worst he is a capable backup, at best he is their future QB.

Purdy has a lot going for him in SF. HC, OL, TE, RB, and WR1 are some of the league’s best. Howell looked decent with much less in Washington.

Oh he is awful. Nothing is worse than a smug comment from someone who doesn’t know what he is talking about. I mean we signed a former QB offensive HC to help us find a QB. Top 10 drafted OL are typically LTs (like the one we literally drafted last year in the top 10). We aren’t drafting OL in the top 10…

First round QBs have the highest success rate. You can dance around the stat all you want but it’s proven. Skew the data, cherry pick a stat, keep in a small (1 year) sample size, but no one is interested in your nonsense. Go back to calling Icky a bust or talking about how good Glass will be.

He is a top 4 currently 1st round graded QB and we need a QB so of course some writers will have us drafting him. I’ve seen plenty with us moving up for Stroud and Levis. It’s way too early anyway.
