If a QB we like is hanging around a couple picks ahead of us then we might make a move IMO. Say we like Young, Stroud, and Levis. If 2 are gone and one is hanging out at 6/7, I think we trade up in that scenario.

I’m not against Johnston at 9 depending on our QB situation. I’m very much against a TE in the top 10. Name a franchise that has done that recently with success.

We traded for a failed WR?? You want to trade for a young proven edge rusher? Umm yeah who wouldn’t but they are pretty pricey just look at what the Rams offered for Burns. The Niners drafted Kittle, Bosa, Samuel and most of their weapons not named CMC. They also drafted Lance and Purdy. Drafting a TE in the top 10 is a terrible value. They have high busts rates and even if they hit they are a lower valued position. The Falcons took Pitts and while he is solid they have been a bottom tier team since drafting him. The Lions did it with Ebron and Hockenson and have been bottom tier.

QB is the most important position in sports and we don't have one. That is clearly priority number 1.

I don't think Young or Stroud or worth trading up to 1 for. If one slips to 4/5 then maybe try to trade up, if not then I would look at AR if our new coach is high on him.
