Jim Harbaugh flirting with the Carolina Panthers UPDATE
ForJimmy replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
What did you want him to do? Intentionally lose and ruin his chance of getting another HC job?? -
Maybe THIS is why Harbaugh wants back in the NFL

Most Efficient Passing Game in the past 6 Weeks

His PFF was 55. He fumbled threw a pick and nearly threw 2 more. DJ had to get OPI to stop one in what could have been a GWD. He has 3 attempts for a GWD and failed all 3 times because the pressure was on and the defense knew Sam had to pass. I get you REALLY want to be right, but he struggles under pressure and always has. You also said he would get us to the playoffs and guaranteed we would win the last 3 games. You might want to get off that Sam train and come back to reality before you look anymore foolish than you already do. -

Yeah that’s the thing no one is saying Sam can’t be a decent backup or is against him signed at a cheap price. The Sam fanboys get upset when he is rationally criticized and are afraid of AR or Levis so they are overhyping Sam. -

That’s going to significantly hurt his case of just going by stats and assuming Sam played well. His accuracy was off last week because there was pressure. DJ bailed him out several times. -

Did you watch the last game? DJ bailed him out if at least 2 INTs one he had to get OPI and tackle the CB, several were too high where he had to make some crazy adjustments. Are you also going to ignore Sam trying to play hero ball on his fumble and scoop it up instead of just falling on it? It’s part of the reason why we lost these games. I realize our secondary was a major part as well. Sam has played decent, but rattling off stat lines doesn’t tell the whole story. Why do 90% of these mock drafts have us going QB? It’s because most analysts know he isn’t a logical long term solution. When the pressure is on him he goes back to his bad habits like he has he entire 5 year career. -

I think they just want a better option AKA drafting one. If Sam is on a cheap backup contract no one will really care. If another team offers him more money then we need to just let him walk also. Game managers with a power running game are easy to come by. -

Good. I think he is fine as a backup as I think most people do here. I don’t think there are any “Sam Haters” as has been stated on here. People just don’t trust him as our future at the position and rightfully so. We still need to draft a QB early this year. -

So what are we wanting to do here? He looked like a solid game manager when our rushing attack was cruising. When it wasn’t he struggled. Are there really people that want him as our starter again next year? To those people when the game is in the line and he has to throw what do you think is going to happen? -
I'm still very confused... That source claimed he got into a shouting match with Tua saying he needed "better fuging play" from his QB?? Tua also claimed Flores doesn't know how to talk to people, but that is nothing like you stated earlier??
-
Yelled at players for not being black??
-
His secondary was pretty banged up but I think he was letting Holcomb run the defense who is not as good as Snow.
-
Between Flores and Wilks they should have our defense top in the league.
-
Honestly he works as DC for most of our coaching options. Even Wilks IMO.
-
Flores competes him. One had the Dolphins defense looking solid and the other had their offense looking great.
-
McDaniels HC, Flores DC. We can be the anti-Dolphins.

Harbaugh to Carolina Makes Too Much Sense...

AR is younger with a higher ceiling. Nothing against Levis, but I think AR is the most like Allen. -
"We should have traded Burns" - a rebuttal

Yeah they upped to to include this year’s second as their final offer. That’s what the sources where saying at the time. -
whose your projected 2023 Panthers HC / QB combo

I like the outside the box thinking. Ryans would be very familiar with Trey Lance. I wouldn't want to trade for him though.... -
Tee Higgins went to high school right near where I live. He has come by one of our dealerships several times before he went to Clemson and he actually came by after he was drafted. He had his G-Wagon detailed and is always a super polite, humble man. He has the same polite, reserved personality he had in high school still after making it pro. I can't say enough nice things about the man and anyone blaming him is just running their mouths trying to stir up ratings at the expense of a bright young man with a good future.

Real fans cheer for Brian Burns.

Most coaches are going to state they are likely to remain where they are until they accept a job somewhere else. That's a lot of nothing. Imagine him saying yeah he will probably be in the NFL and then the Vikings situation happens again and he has to return to Michigan embarrassed while addressing his players/coaches.
