  1. Unfortunately I don’t think Corral will hold much weight on decisions for our new staff. They won’t pass on a QB they like in fear of a previous coach’s 3rd round pick who found himself on IR all season. So Corral’s snap count will be irrelevant. We should sign a vet like Brissett to pair with our rookie and Corral and honestly I wouldn’t be against letting the rookie play sooner vs later and just take his lumps.
  2. Yeah he needs a solid pocket and a great rushing game (preferably franchise record day rushing) and his throws limited, plus DJ bailing him out a couple plays and he can be decent sometimes.
  3. But when we rush for 300 yards breaking a franchise record and limit his passes he can be a serviceable QB. That’s all we have to do!
  4. Mays is some nice depth with starter potential. We need to draft a D1 OL in the late rounds every year. There always seems to be so much value there.
  5. It takes more than a QB, just look at LAC with Herbert. He built his roster and his defense actually played great in the playoffs last year. It would have been a terribly move to fire him….
  6. I thought the same thing, but I was wrong. Taylor is legit and has built one hell of a team. @Toomersgave me a hard dose of reality on Taylor.
  7. Makes too much sense. I've seen several posters on here mention that with Chinn as well. Shaq, Chinn, and Luvu are a solid group of LBs plus a ball hawk safety will let Horn and CJ play more press man which is where they should excel.
  8. I would think that ONE of the four will make it to 9 (Stroud, Young, AR, Levis). It's just not that common to have 4 QBs go in the top 8 in what isn't really a loaded QB draft....
  9. AR won't make it to the 2nd round. I would be very happy if he does and we draft him there.
  10. One of our owners will be involved in the HC hire with our GM?? No way.... Seriously though this is no big deal and I am sure they will have other consultants/staff to help with this very important decision for their franchise.
  11. I'm with you. Start the rookie and if he struggles that's fine we land a top pick to help him out or replace him.
  12. If you are talking about this season you can't simply ignore one of his 7 games. Care to check out his career rating while you are at it? He looked solid through 5 starts last season as well and we all know how that ended...
  13. I think Ward went back. He really needs to go back if he hasn't declared already.... Heard anything about the Fresno QB? Haener I think?
  14. He played decent his first 4-5 starts the previous year as well. After a while teams are going to make you beat them in the air and overcommit to our running game. When that happens you get games like last Sunday and many others the previous year from Sam. I'm not against him as a backup, but I completely understand why people are still very concerned about him...
  15. Their OL was pretty bad. At one point they had two 5th round picks starting at either tackle position.
  16. What about Hall from BYU? I think he declared for the draft.
  17. Damn phone calls keep knocking me offline….
  18. I'm an Auburn fan living in Knoxville so I watch plenty of SEC football and I don't think AR sucks at all. He is projected as a first round pick by many analysts as well. I assume by your name you are just wanting Corral to have no competition next year which makes sense...
  19. Division champs with Darnold and where would that leave us this offseason?
  20. Same. None of these QBs are worth mortgaging our future for. Arizona at 4 would be an interesting trade partner if the price wasn’t crazy. They don’t need a QB and it would depend if one we liked was still there or not.
  21. It’s really hard to tell how good he will be because that offense UT runs will really inflates stats…
  22. Rodgers just lobbed that one up there. Watson isn’t Adams, he can’t jump through a double team and catch that.
  23. Not consistently. It’s Rivera ball which can look great against bad teams, but awful against good teams. We finished 6-6 but played some bad teams down that stretch…
