  1. He is making a lot of money next year (his last year) and they have a very friendly out. They just traded for Howell so they might want to see what he can do plus Geno is 34 now.
  2. How about this. If Seattle cuts Geno we sign him as a bridge and draft a project like Donovan Smith in the later rounds to develop and learn for a while. Then we can evaluate and look at that 26 class with Nico and Arch? This gives us some stability in Geno and a young QB to watch develop while we wait on our move.
  3. I mean DC and Morgan have created a nice OL for him that is creating a nice pocket. He has WRs running open and we are left with an unwatchable performance. It wasn't just missing a couple throws, it looked like he is unable to play within the structure of a typical offense. You can't fix that whether people believe DC is a QB whisperer or not. I think he looked over the film and saw the locker room's reaction and knew there is no need to trying to continue to force this. Maybe Bryce can win them back over (I doubt it) and get another chance, or maybe Dalton gets hurt and Bryce gets a shot for redemption, but I think this story is over and the staff knows it.
  4. Icky has played pretty solid so far this year. He had a streaky sophomore season in a new scheme, but he might be good when it’s all said and done. Honestly our OL as a whole looks decent so far…
  5. Nico is legit but that would be counting on us to have pick 1 or 2 in the 26 draft. I don’t want to trade up again so it’s quite a gamble.
  6. Yeah pick 5 would be a breath of fresh air and less embarrassing on draft day. We won't have to see charts of what all we gave up for a player than got benched and is already being replaced. I'd love pick 5 vs pick 1.... It would also show a trend in the right direction.
  7. Yeah my crazy theory is Canales, Morgan, and Tillis watched the film and read the locker room. They saw a team giving up on a player and frustrated with his production. Seems like a pretty easy decision from there...
  8. That's good. We need to develop all of our young players and if we end up the 5th to worst team it will be productive and we will still get a premium pick. 5th might be about right to draft TMac like you want also.
  9. Hey right now the Rams are 0-2 with Kupp and Puka injured. Plus I think their OL is banged up. Maybe they have a horrible year?
  10. There aren't many good vets available. Right now I'm in trade down or premium pick and possibly draft whoever falls to round 2 if a decent QB does. Honestly for a vet and people are going to probably not like this idea, but Mac Jones could be serviceable behind our OL with a good running game if we go the vet route...
  11. I wanted to see how he looked in better circumstances. I'm MORE than good now. Already looking at FAs and upcoming draft class QBs.
  12. Makes sense. Bump Coker up from the practice squad and trade the vets for draft capital if we can....
  13. Our OL has looked great. Corbett is actually doing a good job at C (which was a concern). We just need to develop XL, JT, and Brooks (when he returns) for our next QB.
  14. Yeah I still watch but I definitely don’t plan my day around it when they are this bad. I caught the 2nd half yesterday and it was basically just on in the background. I’m just glad we have our 1st this time.
  15. Oh the bar is insanely low. If our QB throws an actual TD we might have a parade…
  16. Oh a side note, Corbett is doing great at center. That was my biggest concern, little (pun intended) did I know…..
  17. I think this to a degree. DC is building a pro style offense to run. I think his philosophy was if Bryce can run it, great. If not we will find a QB who can. They aren’t going to build some gimmicky offense to prop up a QB who appears to be a weakness. Once Bryce is gone we should have some young pieces (XL, Mingo, JT, Brooks) and a good OL for the next guy. No more tearing down, just keep building from here.
  18. Time to bump John Wolford from the practice squad.
  19. I’d like to see how he plays against Clemson. They have a good defense. If he can keep his TOs down this year he will check a lot of boxes for scouts.
  20. I’m also cheering for the Rams to lose every game. We have their second. They are 0-2 with both their WRs hurt and I think their OL is banged up…
