I think Moton is playing hurt and DJ Moore has talent just needs a QB. The other two should be cut/traded IMO.

That's just the nature of the business. There are plenty of inner circles where coaches replace others who are friends. You think Dan Morgan would turn down the GM job if we fired Fitt because they are friends? What would Morgan's career path be? I guess he would just have to wait for another franchise to offer him a promotion? Fitt will get a position on another team but there are only 32 NFL GM jobs available in the league and if he was offered one, especially with a team he played for, I doubt he would turn it down. It's what we should have down with Beane...

The Steelers interviewed Morgan as a potential GM this offseason. He is starting to general some buzz, just worried we will relive the Beane thing again. Again I am not married to the idea though.

Not crazy about Dorsey as he kind of inherited that offense and a top young QB to run it, but I mean there are definitely worse candidates.

I think you have an AGM with some experience that is close to the organization who came from the Buffalo tree. Throw in the hard worker and obvious knowledge of the game and he is a pretty good candidate. I think we also have some PTSD from out last AGM that left (Beane). I'm not saying I'm die hard for Morgan, but I think he could be a good candidate.

Beane hired him on as Director of Player Personnel in 2018 in Buffalo for 3 years before we signed him as an Assistant in 2021. If he learned anything from Beane about building a roster he is worth it, plus there is obvious Panthers familiarity.

Fire Fitt and promote Morgan to GM. Look at the Eagles or Lions OC as our next HC and I will be happy. Harbaugh would be great, but I don't want any more of the full control bullshit so if that is a requirement then it's a hard pass for me.

That's kind of why I lean towards a Will Levis as he plays well when his team is usually outmatched from a talent standpoint. Another name to keep your eye on is Cameron Ward (might be my current draft crush).

I think he stays. It’s basically like grabbing another rookie QB in the 3rd this year to compete/backup the first rounder. Kind of like a RG3, Cousins scenario. He will at least hang around until final cuts to try to stash on the practice squad IMO.

Same. I thought a NFL OC paired with a NFL QB (Baker was never this bad), would equate to a nice jump with the possibility of sneaking into the playoffs. This offense might be worse that last year’s….

We have seen it in Cleveland and he was decent with their new coach. Nothing special but decent.

I thought it was better that it has been. I saw pre snap motion, PA (briefly), trying to get Moore, Higgins, and Trenble involved. Foreman had some carries as well. Our players just had trouble executing. In the first quarter Thomas and Tremble dropped a 3rd down pass and Higgins dropped a handoff. This ruins drives and never lets an offense get in rhythm. His short yardage play calling was pretty bad still…

If we draft a QB and a C in the second our offense could be ok with a good HC. Defense has a lot of good young pieces In Brown, Horn, Jackson, Woods, Burns, and Chinn (used correctly). We really aren’t that far off just need a good coach to help pick the right QB with our top pick.

Who was his best OC? Best QB? How can a WR take over a game when the balls get batted down or the QB is throwing to the other team or the defense knows the plays??

He is still on a cheap rookie contract I believe. That adds a good bit of value.

How in the world can anyone probably assess Moore with the shitty QBs and OCs he has had to work with? He is a constant 1000 yard WR that has been surrounded by garbage. If we draft a QB in the first next year he will have DJ, a decent young OL, a great RB/slot WR and a weapon in Lavista to work with. Throw in a solid defense and a decent HC can have us competitive again quickly.

CMC can’t be traded with his contract and DJ should be part of our future going forward. He is a good young WR on a reasonable contract. I do think we should start trading some pieces though. Shaq and Robbie would be nice if we could get anything for them.

Poor DJ Moore… We HAVE to draft a QB to see how good Moore can really be.
