Yeah if Elf at C is our weakest link then our OL has made good progress from last year. -Also we are ALL aware Trey Smith went late in the draft and is a very good OG. Guess what? We were not the only team that passed on him multiple times. That "should have drafted" game can be played with every franchise.

He just needs platform shoes.

He is probably a good backup/special teamer. He flashed some this preseason, but was invisible in that first game…

Sean Lee and Allen Robinson are pretty good. Not sure about “stars” but good players.

You have been on fire lately. There aren't many times my opinions change about something in the game, but you have done it several times lately. Always nonbiased and pure analytical without any name calling or talking down to anyone. Keep up the good work!

I'm not sure they are bad picks, just don't have the proper staff to further develop them. Just look at Chinn...

Yeah it's clear our staff can't develop players. Vets are the ones that do the best here (RA, Reddick, Gillmore). I'm hoping Wilks can develop our young secondary, Campen our young OL, and maybe McAdoo can get our offense going. They are all new this year so hopefully they can show what they can do. As for the run defense.... doesn't look good...

If Icky develops this year (as he should), our OL might be pretty decent when it's all said and done. I still prefer Bozeman, but if Elf and Baker can get their snaps under control, Elf isn't as bad as we all say on here. Not ideal, but if he is our weakest link then that shows how far our OL has come.

I think we beat the Giants. Hopefully our offense carries over from the 2nd half of last game when they were clicking. Shaq hadn't played in a minute before that Browns game, so I think he will have a better performance. Look for McAdoo to get CMC involved much more earlier...

I kind of wish he did so he could be the interm when we fire Rhule.

It’s hard to tell with Fitt because I don’t know who makes what calls between him and Rhule. It’s still too early for Tepper as owner, but Rhule has shown he isn’t good at coaching at this level.

I wouldn’t be against him being our next coach. QB coach for Herbert his rookie year, Mills his rookie year, and the OC for the Colts when Luck was there. He gets overlooked a lot IMO.

He plays solid against more talented teams as well.

A sack with multiple pressure and 2 swatted passed by Clowny. The OL came out pretty shaky from the first snap. It was also 3rd and 10 for that INT which it was pass-incomplete, pass-incomplete, and pass-int. We HAVE to run the ball, especially against teams that can generate pressure like the Browns.

Maybe I need too see the film vs pictures. Again I am not saying he isn't at fault for his overthrowing of the INT, but I am saying the staff has to expect poo like that to happen when you coming out with a rookie LT vs Garrett and want to go pass heavy... This loss falls on them more than anyone. If we are giving Baker all the credit for this INT then he also gets all the credit for giving them the lead with just over a minute left. (which I don't agree with. I think our staff adjusted well offensively in the second half).

You really don't think game plans, strategies, and momentum affect QB play and TOs. Peyton cut down on Winston's INTs before he got injured, Baker with Kitchens throws a poo ton of INTs with Stefanski he drops from 21 INTs to 8. Did Baker get that much better than quickly or did he get a halfway decent coach who put him in better positions? Bad things happen when you put your players in bad positions. I'm not saying he isn't at fault at all, but a majority of this loss falls on our coaching/strategy.

I see 6 Panthers attempting to block 5 Browns. It looks like BC and Icky are doubling on player (probably Garrett), #63 is running around blocking no one and Ian is doing a good job holding his block for the moment (I really think Ian had a solid game). #20 on the Browns is less than 2 yards away and the ball is in Baker's hands. Their DL abused us from snap one that game. We wanted to get pass happy which played right into their momentum. He definitely overthrew the pass, but I think our game plan put him in a bad position. Just look at the second half when we corrected it.

There is literally a guy #20 coming at him unblocked as he is having to rush that throw... This is how TOs happen all the time. QBs get uncomfortable because they are constantly getting hit that they rush throws. After how he looked in that one picture, I'm surprised he was still standing and comfortable enough to get us the lead in the 4th. Again if we had a different game plan and slowed down their pass rush there is a MUCH higher chance he hangs in there and makes that throw (like he did in the second half).

I don't think it decided the game. I could argue that Baker getting sacked/pressured constantly in the first quarter led to that INT. Is that his fault as well? The strategy of getting pass heavy and not providing our rookie LT with any help (in the first half) against Garrett was the main reason our offense was so bad. Look no further than the second half when we made adjustments, gave Icky help, and started running the ball our offense looked great and our QB played near perfect. That seems like coaching/game plan to me more than anything....

It's really hard for me to accept that a play in the first half completely changed the game. That would be assuming that one play was different yet everything else went the exact same. I feel like teams change their strategy and play calling based on how the game is unfolding.
