  1. interesting that he put Willis’s name out there. Maybe he is banking on teams getting interested in him at the combine? No mention of Howell might be a good thing. Surely he wouldn’t hype up or mention a player he is wanting to draft before he drafts him…
  2. You don’t completely ignore the OL. QB is just more important. You can find competent OL in rounds 2-5 (especially interior and I know we are missing picks this is generally speaking) and free agency. A franchise QB behind a competent OL will take you further than a random QB behind a solid OL. The Colts had one of the best OLs and missed the playoffs by losing to the Jags… The Bengals have Burrow and plenty of weapons and are obviously competitive, but I guarantee you they are addressing their OL this offseason. 9 sacks in one game is Panthers bad…
  3. Agreed. If there isn’t one we like, we look at other positions like OL.
  4. No one is arguing that. The point is QB is the MOST important position in sports. If you don’t have one and one you like in available in the draft you draft him. Fix the OL with other picks/FA/next year. Priority one is getting your QB. If there isn’t one you like that’s a different story.
  5. Basically what several of us (including yourself) have been saying, while others are screaming you can’t do it without an OL…
  6. Seems to be flying under the radar because he played in a smaller conference…
  7. He won’t go to Michigan. We could never be so lucky….
  8. https://www.si.com/college/hbcu/.amp/football/aqeel-glass-cole-kelley-nfl-talent If we don’t go QB in the first, Glass seems to have a lot of potential. The writer of this article compares him to Dak. These are NFL throws he was making.
  9. Imagine that play action, the defense would never know where the ball is…
  10. No one wants to watch Darnold again. It wasn’t enjoyable last year…
  11. Wasn’t trying to single you out, just in general people are looking at Willis and Howell’s stats during certain games without watching the tape. The stats are important, but don’t tell the full story IMO. Willis is definitely raw, but has a cannon for an arm and can launch it off the run.
  12. Looks like someone actually is watching the game vs looking at the stats. Willis and Howell had awful OL play all year.
  13. Hell Lance struggled against Illinois St 10/21 no TDs and 11 rushes for 41 yards. What do you think he would have done against a SEC school? Again how did Allen do against better talented teams in college? Even Mahomes sucked it up against Iowa St who probably had less talent than Texas Tech. Willis would be a pick based on potential more than where he is at now. Similar to Lance and Allen.
  14. Go watch Allen or Lance’s tape against stronger competition. It’s difficult when the entire roster is outmatched on talent…
  15. The one not in the NFL happens to be the one people are wanting number 1 next year. What about Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Russ Wilson? I get 6’1” is below average, but plenty have had success at that height and shorter in today’s NFL. Go take a look at Allen’s passing numbers in college…. Very tame. Willis would be a pick based on raw ability and potential much like Lance and Allen were.
  16. So taller than Bryce Young, Kyler Murray and an inch shorter than Lamar?
  17. No I’m on the don’t let our incomplete team be the reason for passing on a QB.
