Both of their contracts would be due soon. Also it would be harder to trust Little with only one good season…
-
I believe his assumption was they both won the job and are playing well. It would solve our tackle issues for years to come.

That’s some 4D chess bu the Eagles…

Marshall is a legit TD catching WR. Looks like he is the real deal with routes, hands, and size/speed. Samuel was a great athlete who played WR/RB in college. Basically a shifty/fast playmaker that OSU just wanted to get the ball in his hands. Both have a good ceiling, but Marshall has a higher floor IMO.

Exactly. Health is the only concern. If he stays healthy he and DJ are the future for us at the WR position. If Shi Smith can develop in the slot we are going to have an awesome offense!

Panthers Training Camp Thoughts and Musings - Monday Edition
ForJimmy replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I would think it’s some what expected with a young QB in a new offense. Hell Brady looked rough early in Tampa (relatively speaking). He started off with a QBR of 40.3 against the Saints in week 1, 44 against us in Week 2. -

What works for one scheme doesn’t work for another. Plus he has yet to play a snap of an actual game, so let’s see how he does at LT. They will try to make it work because of where he was drafted, but there has been plenty of times teams have to slide young players inside were they are better suited. I’m not trying to talk down on the man either, just saying how some teams evaluated him. -

Yep several teams viewed Slater as a great guard, and good RT that couldn’t play LT on the NFL. We might be one of those teams. Had we drafted him and played him at guard (his best position in the NFL) with pick 8, fans would be flipping out. -

Nice pass too! He dropped in right in there.

We actually have some sort of depth at least. Erving as a backup is definitely something I’d be ok with. Elf should be a solid guard/back up C.
-
There will most definitely big a huge drop off. It looks like maybe Erving LT and Christensen RT for now…

I thought Teddy was a “bridge” QB no pun intended? Weren’t we in on Herbert if he fell to us?

Two or Three QBs, what difference does it make?

I don’t think Baker is available?? Watson has too much baggage. If Darnold plays bad this year, I could definitely see us drafting one. I think next year’s class will be better than people are thinking. Hopefully Sammy D lights it up and it won’t even matter. -
Man I REALLY wanted us to draft Fields, but our staff was and is all in on Darnold at least for this year… There were leaks Tepper liked Fields, but even if they are true he is clearly letting Rhule and Fitts call the shots for now.
