Pretty sure Young was great at that in college as well…

True plus there will absolutely be some rust. This bye week will help to a degree, but year it may take a couple weeks playing before he feels 100%.
-
With Corbett likely coming back how is our OL looking? Icky, Mays, Boze, Corb, Moton? I read that Mays played better last week but I wasn’t paying much attention to him. That should be at least a serviceable OL going forward with only one potential weakness in LG. Maybe Brown gets them rolling with some better designed running plays since that’s his specialty.

Oh now you don't like him? You disgust me!
-
apparently he isn't even cheap

It's crazy when you look at active QBs with a Super Bowl Ring. Russ (sucks now), Stafford (getting old), Mahomes (only one with multiple), Foles (backup or worse), and Rodgers (one year left?). It's a tough measuring stick for sure. Brady and Mahomes are hogging them.

Where does it say Fitt doesn't want to trade him? I think the author of the article is just stating quality corners are hard to replace.
-
He had people vote on it. It's just a thread to talk about the game/football or whatever without negative trolls trying to derail it. I think it's legit.
-
Ok that makes more sense!
-
Sounds like Rodgers.

I hope they pull out the win for you. Both teams will be off bye weeks.

It’s tough because similar things were said about CMC (to a much lesser degree) as we are saying about Horn. Now CMC is putting up MVP numbers, but he did get injured last game. Thomas Davis also couldn’t stay healthy until he could.
-
You are still giving up that current first to draft the player. For example Cam cost us the top pick in the draft. He wasn’t a free acquisition. That pick could have been used on a different player so it still was part of the acquisition cost. I get what you are saying though. The trade wasn’t 2 firsts. It was a swap plus next year’s first.

I mean if the peak of his ability is top 5 in every stat plus the best record in the league for a franchise that hasn’t been good in a long time I’ll gladly take it? Also you could make the sane argument for Tua who you listed as better. Hell Brees, Manning, Warner, and Brady all worked in QB friendly offenses. If they are putting up numbers that are top of the league and winning then it’s hard to hold it against them. Someone mentioned consistency and that’s a solid argument against Goff. If he is still top of the league in stats and wins by year end then people need to give him some credit.

That’s fair.

I thought Goff was Stroud’s floor. (Last year’s Goff obviously)
-
He stated his ceiling feels like what Jared Goff is “right now” and stated we need him to become a top 10 elite QB. I’d say current Goff is an elite top 10 QB. Do you not agree?
-
You don't think current Goff is a top 10 QB in the league right now? He is in the top 5 in most statistics and has a NFL best record of 5-1. Which 10 do you have above him?

https://thedraftnetwork.com/bryce-young-panthers-improvement-october/ Here is a good breakdown of some of the good things from that Miami game that show some progression in his game. Hopefully this continues and he keeps getting better each week.

If Fitt can get 2 firsts for Burns, I’ll forgive him for passing on that Rams deal.
-
You are right about the picks, but a first round pick holds value. Say we use it for a sign and trade for Higgins for example. The age thing is the biggest red flag. Like you stated I don't think he wants to play for a rebuilding team. If he was 5 plus years younger I would be all for it. The Dolphins as you stated were a lot more complete team than we are. Plugging in a vet elite WR put them over the edge.

You have a lot of great points, but to me the picks make the most sense. Example we trade Burns to the Ravens for their 1st and 3rd possibly a low tier player as well. So now we have a first and third in the draft to build around Bryce plus the extra cap space we save by not having to pay the Adams contract which is $17 million next year then jumps to $35 million a year the next two years when he is 32/33 years old. You could add 3 solid players for that kind of money. So now you have 3 vet players to fill roster spots, plus a 1st, plus a 3rd (so 5 possible starters) vs Adams (who won't be happy hear if he isn't happy in LV).
