I’m just saying he had the best rating in all of the NCAA even with all of these “bad” pressure moments. If the opponent is getting pressure constantly like UGA was of course we are going to roll him out and let him make plays with his legs. If they don’t then he will make them pay from the pocket.

So did Baker. He ran around extending plays but definitely struggled doing so at the next level. In fact as we all know teams want to keep him in the pocket and take away his throwing lanes. Undersized, heisman winning, top pick, but has struggled playing his game at the next level.

Stroud “struggled” with pressure earlier in the season. His rating under pressure still isn’t terrible it’s just a good bit lower than his highest in the NCAA rating when he has a pocket. In fact his overall rating was the highest in the NCAA even including the under pressure rating. Later in the season when he actually got accustomed to having some pressure he did much better, just check out the UGA game.

Yeah no one knows for a reason. The Young fans will claim it looks like we are favoring him and the Stroud fans will say the opposite. We won’t know until the staff wants us to know.

Statistics: There is no correlation btwn QB height and batted passes

Yeah he definitely has an issue with it. He will need to work on that too in the NFL. -

I mean Baker crushed it in college. He also was dodging defenders making some backyard football plays and won the heisman doing it. Now I’m sure Young is off the charts with his work ethic, but at the end of the day the offense will still be limited to a degree. I love the video @*FreeFua*posted the other day. People are getting too focused on finding the next Mahomes with those broken play highlights. Finding the next Mahomes will probably never happen. An elite prospect inside the pocket has worked consistently in the NFL. Think Brees, Brady, both Mannings and the lost goes on because 90% of the game can be played in the pocket. If they can extend the play under pressure that’s just a great bonus, but not really a primary trait. -
Looks like a soccer team’s jersey…

I’m not worried about batted balls as much as missing open reads through lack of vision, not making the pass because the lane isn’t there, not being able to play under center, and of course durability. I just keep thinking of how great Baker was in college vs NFL. His size seemed to limit him more than expected at the next level. -
Your assuming he has an ounce of reading comprehension skills…

Stroud is my preference. He is the safest with the highest floor and a Burrow ceiling. He just makes too much sense. I’ll be happy and excited with Young, but Stroud makes the most sense.

Looking at Success or Failure of top 10 to 12 QBs since 2000

Some solid points. You can spend a lifetime trying to find another Mahomes. QBs that excel in the pocket where 90% of the game is played are tried and true.

Jason LaCanfora: Dave Tepper loves Bryce Young

Gotcha. Yeah we need a great pocket passer for Reich’s offense. -

We are on the same page, but I wouldn’t consider Young a running QB at all. I believe he had 0 rushing yards his Heisman year. -
Lol well I hope he is the pick for your sake.

Yeah I agree, even if we were at 9 I would be ok with Levis or AR. We just need a safer pick after what we gave up for 1.

Also what a perfect time to get a Stroud/Young jersey!

Didn’t DJ Moore tweet something about matte white helmets a few months ago?
