It's not criticism though. It's nothing he is doing wrong. It is more of an unknown like you have already stated. Honestly though I have seen him make plenty of tough throws in tight windows. I know he had a great WR in Harrison Jr, but Stroud got plenty of other playmakers involved and many of those BIG10 defenses had NFL talent at the CB position. He also really didn't have a drop off when he played against UGA's defense.

One of my favorite criticisms is "Stroud throws to open WRs." Umm that's what he is suppose to do???

The question is WHY is he holding the ball too long. Is he not reading the defense or is he dodging pressure or no one is getting separation or did the OC call a long developing play. That’s up to our staff to figure out.

Yeah he was seriously limited last year by injuries. People who only started watching him then are seeing only a fraction of what he can do. It’s like two categories of top QBs in the draft. Stroud/Young are polished passers who will have to learn to do more with less in the NFL. Young has been better at handling pressure, but size is a concern. Levid/AR are needing some work as passers but have huge ceilings based on their raw athletic ability. Levis is the more polished passer with a higher floor while AR has the higher ceiling. Id be happy with any of them honestly.

Agreed. The Niners went all in on Lance to get away from Jimmy G. That should be a red flag.

Our staff seems to be dialed in on this class and look to be playing the draft route. I guess we will find out in these next few months.

Yeah I can't grasp the people who don't want a QB in the first or even trading up. If our staff is as good as advertised we would be losing 2 mid to late first rounders for the chance to have a new franchise QB. I think we are so accustomed to having a top 10 pick we think those first rounders could be CMC, Horn, Brown, or even another Luke but honestly it's more like another Shaq, Benjamin etc... Burns was a solid pick in the middle of the draft though, but the money we save having a QB on the rookie scale can be used to sign a pass rusher.

That guy cherry picks and then ignores countering data. He was wanting us to draft Aqeel Glass last year who went undrafted and is now in the USFL of which he wanted us to sign his USFL coach as our OC and still sign that player. He also thinks Icky is a bust. He is all over the place man. He also claims he knew Tom Brady would be that great when no other NFL franchise did....

Yeah we spent stupid money and threw away picks while having nothing to show for it. Why are you obsessed with this 3 firsts comment? Trade up to 3 and get one. We just need to draft one early and stop waiting around trying out castoffs from other teams. The last one we drafted early worked out pretty well. Let’s try that again.

That’s what people can’t grasp. If Williams and Maye are as good as advertised those picks aren’t for sale. We would have to finish last or second to last to draft one of those players and with this staff, that’s not happening.

Colts like Levis enough to jump to 1? Then we trade with the Cards and take Stroud/Young at 3. Problem solved!
