I think he was saying top 3 (in the draft). Many are seeing a big 3 in this draft Neal, Icky, and Cross. They seem like pretty safe prospects that should be solid NFL LTs (not necessarily too 3 in the league). Drafting one is the safest plan for the long term, but the people making the decisions aren’t concerned about long term as much as they are saving their jobs next year.

He honestly wasn’t too terrible at Tennessee. Didn’t play to where he was drafted and couldn’t stay healthy. Backing up Carr a few years and getting healthy may have done him good. I wouldn’t be against it. Cross at 6 would give him a nice OL and we have some weapons for him in CMC, Moore, Anderson etc…

If we trade down that’s who I want. If we stay at 6, I’d prefer Willis.

REPORT: Armstead is between Chicago, Miami, and Carolina.

Did Armstead get released? I think he is a FA and probably too expensive for NO to resign. -
There is no way Rhule makes it past this year unless the team dramatically improves. Tepper is done playing around after Stafford, Russ, and Watson didn’t want to play here.

I bet not having a 2nd and 3rd lowers the amount we need for our rookies.

I think Tepper/Fitt realized we have to make this roster more attractive to QBs if we ever want to land a solid one in a trade or develop one we draft.

David Newton's "cryptic" comment got me to thinkin

I didn’t like Herbert, Allen, or Mac. I’ve learned I don’t know poo about QBs. -
I like it! I just want a young talented QB in case Sam shits the bed again.

He really won’t be as bad as people are saying. The man knows how to read a defense and carves up the middle of the field. He also has some legs on him. I’d prefer Willis or Howell for upside, but I’ll be ok with Pickett. -

It might not be Honey Badger -
Hmm I never really thought about it that way, but it makes sense.

Kenny Pickett > Malik Willis (at least for us)
ForJimmy replied to janderson20vt's topic in Carolina Panthers
Seriously though I don’t mind Pickett. I think Willis and Howell have higher ceilings, but Pickett has the higher floor. Pickett is a good 1st round prospect IMO. He is kind of boring which isn’t a bad thing. I don’t think this class is as bad as everyone thinks. -

These two are my top choices (Howell can be through a trade down if possible). -
True, plus he is going to have a nice OL to run behind.
-
And roll with??
-
You think so? I think the NFL is all about the QB now and they are getting over drafted.

Trade the Bills CMC for their first. That gives them the receiving RB they wanted and gives CMC a chance to win it all while we rebuild.
