  1. Supply and demand. If more teams are wanting to trade back than trade up then the value of a trade up drops.
  2. It's all about our big board. If pick 6-100 have a small variance then you take the more picks. That's why many teams want to trade back and less are wanting to trade up in this draft. Obviously if you are sold on one player like you are suggesting you just take him, I just have the feeling we are sold on any of them yet. They all have some red flags.
  3. Oh know I think the drop off is much higher than mid 1st. It probably starts before our pick. Carter, Hunter, and Graham seem like the blue chip players to me. So why pick a Walker/Mykel at 8 when you get get two players with a similar rating on your big board like Nolen or Starks for the same value. Basically get two for one. The question is who would want to trade up? If a player like Jeanty is there (we can't afford to take a RB at 8 ) or a QB like Sanders is there and a team is high on him they could probably get there QB for less than in a normal draft.
  4. Makes sense considering there isn't much of a gap between upper 1st round talent and 2nd round talent in this particular draft. Many teams are wanting to trade back. It's just a bad draft for top talent...
  5. It kind of makes it harder to draft one in the top 10. I wonder if some teams will wait for one to fall before trying to get the other one. This is assuming they have them ranked closely.
  6. Honestly Loveland might be the better prospect of the two depending on who you ask. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
  7. No one is arguing where we were on the season. After the benching Bryce was one of the top deep ball passers in the league. It's a skillset he has just shown he is capable of doing. I believe he led the league in week 12 and was one of the top ones for that final quarter. Dance around the topic and argue the stats all you want, I'm just going by what I saw on TV and read about. https://x.com/PattonAnalytics/status/1877044086709854343 https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/news/bryce-young-best-against-pressure-throwing-deep Hey it surprised me as well, but I'm not going to hide my head in the sand and try to ignore what is clearly right in front of me. People have a hard time admitting their original thought may have been wrong. That's just the world we live in. We will see if Young can keep it up next year or not, but signs are point to DC running his offense regardless of who is QB.
  8. During that last stretch Young was one of the best deep ball QBs in the NFL. He was running DC's offense and it was looking great despite needing some more weapons.
  9. Williams would be an Edge for us. We only have Wonnum and Clowney one more year.
  10. I think he had one less sack than Jalon playing in a position that is much harder to get them. He also has previous seasons with some production as well. No one at UGA is getting a large number of sacks.
  11. I feel like in this draft trading down won't result in the same return as it typically does. We need players no doubt, but unless it's a decent deal (which doesn't seem likely) I'm not sure we do it.
  12. (Huddle recap) Overpaid for FAs and all top 100 prospects will be gone by 8.
  13. Personally if I’m making a top 10 pick on a player, I’m spending as much time around him as allowed. I get what you are saying though.
  14. I feel like he is the obvious choice, assuming Graham is gone. BPA at a huge position of need. I’ve thought this before all the press conferences.
  15. We also stated we are open to trading down so yeah any prospect they ask about will get hype as they good. Just last week there was a report we loved Mykel Williams. Again Morgan missed out on Walker's most recent workout as well.
  16. Especially towards the top. You just connect team needs with players who are projected to be available. If that teams shows interest like they should it just adds fuel to the fire.
  17. Typically, but honestly it's just an educated guess. We desperately need defense and in most mocks he is the top rated defender available (especially if he is an edge). As @mrcompletely11 has posted, Dan Morgan wasn't even at his workout. We aren't telegraphing anything yet this year (like we did last year), because I just think we are going BPA or trade down and in most mocks Walker is BPA. If Graham falls to our pick it will get interesting...
  18. I've read some "reports" Warren might be going to the Jets at 7. If we are stuck at 8, I've love Graham or Walker assuming one makes it to 8.
  19. Same. Trade down and take him late in the first, but again I'd take Starks 10/10 times vs Nick.
  20. Starks is a FS all day. Coverage is his specialty from single high to nickel man. Nick is high potential due to physical traits but give me the film guy all day.
  21. Which is odd because Starks has the better film IMO. We just love some gamecocks.
  22. Steelers have a strong OL and two big WRs in Pickens and DK. If a QB is plug and play that’s the offense/roster you want. Plus a great defense. Not the horror show we put on the field in 2023…
