Panthers OFFICIALLY Announced to Play in Munich.
PleaseCutStewart replied to Panthercougar68's topic in Carolina Panthers
I feel bad for Germany having to watch this dumpster fire of a team play a game next season... -
Loved Morgan as a player, but we need fresh blood that doesn't have the stink of this organization already all over him
-
Yikes... I am struggling to find 3 wins against those teams
-
Seattle's defense actually played very well the next few games after playing us. And say what you want, but we had zilcho run game and asked Dalton to throw it 58 times and he still managed to not throw an INT. Unfortunately that was probably the second worst game the defense played this year outside of the Detroit game

If there is any good news, with how terrible he was this season, I'm not sure another team is paying him $30 mill a year. Unfortunately, this probably also means we have no chance of getting a first rounder for him. Franchise tag him and hope he is terrible next year also so we can get him cheaper long term I guess. If he threatens to sit out like Le'Veon bell did, get into that battle and don't let him win.

Ejiro Evero - Best Coach Since....
PleaseCutStewart replied to Admiral Ackbar's topic in Carolina Panthers
You do realize that I would say easily 30% of the points we allowed this year were either pick/fumble 6s from Bryce or terrible turnovers by the offense that set the opposing teams offense up in the red zone. Then think about all of the three and outs our offense had that gave the ball to the other team at about midfield... I think our defense was bad in 4, maybe 5 games, this year and was the only reason we won or were close in any other games... -
Is somebody seriously complaining about Raanta for tonight's game? Dude kept us in it. At the end of the day, if we said Raanta gave up 1 goal after OT, we would gladly take that.

Honestly, I think Tomlin is probably the best motivating coach there is in the NFL. Xs and Os, not as much... That being said, I'm pretty sure Tepper was one of the biggest haters of Tomlin when he was part of the Steelers. There is a 0% chance we would ever have Tomlin coach us while Tepper is here

What coach(s) would actually make you happy with the hire
PleaseCutStewart replied to MGH1989's topic in Carolina Panthers
I honestly think GM will be the bigger issue than HC. We have to find a GM that knows how to scout talent, win trades, and knows how to negotiate contracts/not overpay. -
Maybe I'm in the minority here, but Drury's lack of awareness to cover his guy open in the middle of the ice is far worse. Yes, TDA could have done better with the board battling, but there is no excuse for Drury to just be meandering on the boards behind the caps board player when the Caps player is clearly going to be the first one to the puck...

That's fine if raanta struggles early on. The thing we absolutely cannot afford is Pyotr getting some type of common injury (i.e. muscle strain or groin injury) because we are afraid of playing raanta and putting Pyotr in a spot he isn't used to (starting the second game of a b2b)

2023-2024 General Canes Thread
PleaseCutStewart replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
Yeah, there is pretty much no point in trading him because nobody wants him. I agree - might as well keep him in case one of our defensemen get injured -
Can't play Pyotr every games unless you want to completely wear him out... We just need to execute on offense and defense and not put Raanta in a position where he needs to stand on his head or face a lot of odd man breaks
-
It is very easy to make up what happened when you are telling your side of the story... Still doesn't excuse the dumb poo Tepper did, but I wouldn't be surprised if this guy heckled Tepper in some way. But clearly Tepper has the mental toughness of a 5-year-old based on his response...

This is the upward trajectory of Bryce's NFL career

I think it's this and the fact that they are actually getting people in front of the net. I don't know how many times last year (especially the playoffs) I would see us have a PP and literally nobody standing in front of the net. We need that person there to screen the goalie for our snipers.
