Think about this, we Trade for Watson... guess who is still on the team and is literally the backup QB? Teddy is not exactly a trade asset but there’s no way that trade happens without sending Teddy to the Texans. You really think we afford Watson and Teddy on this roster??

His salary is not bad at all and would be essentially a one year contract for the Texans. He has value as a bridge QB if they hypothetically drafted a QB like Trey lance with the 8th pick they acquire; it would give them an opportunity to slowly implement the rookie qb into the offense. Which has value, I’m not saying it’s worth a crazy amount(look at Nick Foles,) but I personally think panther fans are much lower on Teddy then the rest of the league would be in a hypothetical trade.

My opinion on a fair trade compensation would be: 8th pick this year our second this year Teddy Bathwater a second next year

The Texans just traded for David Johnson last year, I highly doubt they want another highly paid RB on their roster.
