  1. If we were to go QB I want Willis, but only if we red shirt him. If we drafted Willis and I was GM, I would sign Duane Brown for LT starting role, sign QB Fitzpatrick, and let Fitz and Darnold battle it out for starter, Willis is third string this year, and franchise leading QB next season. For the record I want LT at 6.
  2. In before someone says “Not Panthers related, mods please lock thread” Happy Easter.
  3. Lol he post like this at least 23 times every day. This is not related to anything going on with the Panthers
  4. Fire this fug. It was time for us to move on from Rivera but at least the league respected us when he was our coach. Was a terrible hire Rhule was. I hate what the team has become.
  5. I’m 100 percent behind a QB at #6 overall if we get a vet LT to partner with Christensen at LG. Then our line is complete AND we have hope for the future at QB. Start Darnold until the rookie is ready, and we are off to the races. The rookie will have good skill position players and a decent line at that point
  6. Article: It was hardly a surprise to anyone last year when the Jets elected to move on from quarterback Sam Darnold in favor of drafting Zach Wilson. But that didn’t stop Darnold from making his feelings known to New York’s management on his way out the door. In an appearance on the Bussin’ with the Boys podcast hosted by Titans left tackle Taylor Lewanand free agent linebacker Will Compton, Darnold said he told the Jets they were “making a mistake” by sending him to Carolina to draft a new QB. “At the end of the day, it’s not my call,” Darnold said, via David Newton of ESPN. “If they don’t think I’m the guy, it is what it is.” Darnold is now in a similar position with the Panthers, as Carolina is bringing in six of the top quarterbacks in this year’s incoming rookie class for a pre-draft visit. But Darnold said in the same interview that if the Panthers choose another QB, he feels like another team will want him since he’s proven he can be a good quarterback. But it seems unlikely that there would be any robust market for Darnold’s services, given what the quarterback has put on film since the Jets selected him at No. 3 overall back in 2018. He struggled even last year with his fresh start, completing 59.9 percent of his passes for 2,527 yards with nine touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Darnold carries a career interception rate of 3.2 percent, tossing 54 touchdowns to 52 picks in 50 appearances with 49 starts. He’s also lost 11 of his 29 career fumbles. Time will tell if Darnold will find success in the league. But it’s hard to argue that the Panthers shouldn’t be looking for a different long-term solution in 2022. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/04/07/sam-darnold-told-jets-they-were-making-a-mistake-by-trading-him/
  7. I do know if he is the long term answer……He most certainly is not. If you look at his body of work starting for over 4 years and think he can be a franchise QB I don’t know what to tell you. Will he be a very good backup? Absolutely, franchise QB? No way
  8. We can’t even have a joke thread anymore on April fools? It’s not like we have had any stories going on this week. Title was changed in two minutes. Mods are becoming fun police
  9. I’ll make this thread better. Will Sam Darnold…… A) Cry in only one game B) Cry in multiple games
  10. If you think Fitt will keep the same draft picks after witnessing what we did last year…..you aren’t in touch with the team.
  11. Mods are quick. Can’t even post a joke for less than 2 minutes before it gets ruined.
  12. Hey….have a great weekend everyone! UNC AND DUKE on Saturday and beautiful weather on the way. I’m just here before I get poo thrown all over me
  13. The Panthers are trading the number 6 overall pick and a 2nd round pick in 2023 for Lamar Jackson. We have also signed Jackson to a 5 year contract extension.
  14. The stat on Darnold is funny because they literally used quick 3 step drips for almost all of his throws so that he could get the ball out quick, and most of the time it was an extremely safe, short pass, or a dump off. All defenses knew we would do that and allowed us to dunk and dunk all game, knowing we couldn’t sustain drives or get close to scoring range.
  15. He’s waiting to speak once the future of the franchise is in one man’s hands
  16. We do have someone there and to the staffs credit, they seem to be more focused on actual first round prospects
  17. Lol Saints at number 6 overall with “crippling cap issues” just a few weeks ago
  18. @Zod who are you pulling for as the selection, and what do you think our plans will be with them? (Day 1 starter, start later in the season, or red shirt year)
  19. One of the QB’s (most likely Willis) will be picked top 10 and odds are that it is going to be a team trading up to #5 to get him.
  20. I’ll never forgot the game against the Falcons where he was QB and we decided to run the wild cat 99 percent of the game with Deangelo Williams and actually won. We brought back the wildcat before the Dolphins made it mainstream
