I believe we are better off not making a mega trade like that. If you fail….you set us back 5 years minimum. It’s an all chips on the table desperation move. We have to get a line, and we have to get a QB. If you get your QB through that trade, you have to build the line through FA, and that will not work out well…look at the O line FA from this past season.

We need a backup QB just as bad. PJ is absolute trash. Minshew would only cost 900k compared to the dump truck of cash that Darnold is getting next year.

Yeah he looks really bad right now, and it’s looking like he will be cut next year. With that being said I bet he gets 200 yards and 3 TD’s this week against us because the defense it on the field 95 percent of the game.

Could not have said it better. I am always a glass half full type of guy when it comes to pulling for the team, but the hope I once had is quickly going away. I believe it’s the thought that we could be building something, just to see a 3-0 start quickly turn into a team regressing. This has happened the last three years in a row and it’s getting old. If we start off rough and see a team building something we can get behind it, but it seems like we start the season and get worse week after week until we end up looking at yet another top 10 pick.

Mike Davis revenge game…..he got less than a handful of carries last week, so I fully expect him to put up pro bowl number against us.

Saying the same thing….I cringed when I read the news that the Eagles got him for a 6th.

It’s never too late. Trade deadline is approaching. I dont see any way it would happen but it would make a ton of sense.

Would you trade one of our two 5th round picks right now for Minshew on his rookie contract, to compete with Sam? Worst case scenario he is our backup QB this year and next on the cheap cheap (925k cap hit). (He was traded for a 6th round pick to the Eagles before)

To think I made a topic stating Darnold was absolutely worth the trade. How bad that thread has aged.

The bad thing about this team is we always start off the season extremely hot, then crash and burn after the first quarter of games.

Cornerback Stephon Gilmore has been a member of the Panthers for a couple of weeks, but he hasn’t been on the field with his new team yet. Gilmore was on the Patriots’ physically unable to perform list at the time of the trade and remained on it once he got to Carolina, so he’s been ineligible to practice or play for the first six weeks of the season. We’ve reached that point in the calendar and Gilmore is reportedly set to start working. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Gilmore, who tore his quad last season, is expected to practice with the team this week. Once he does practice, the team will have three weeks to activate him or shut him down for the rest of the year.
