Love it!

Intrigued by Thomas Brown. Sounds like the type of innovative play caller and leader we need. I hope we don’t let this guy leave without a contract.

The Colts did us a solid by blocking access to Bradley. I think we came out ahead on that one.

Panthers hire Josh McCown as QB coach
Prowler2k18 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wait…when did we hire Capers? Awesome if we did and Dom has come full circle -
Would be a nice addition but may be impossible to beat out others with longer history with Reich, as you said. And chances are he’s already settled on his OC.
-
If he feels that way about Moore’s playcalling, I’m sure he’ll “love” B Scottenheimer. I don’t remember his playcalling being any less uninspiring.
-
Sadly the dysfunction will continue until MJ sells the team. It’s beyond clear after all this time he doesn’t have a clue how to build a contender.
-
A couple of other names I’ve heard floated around with ties to Reich are Parks Frazier (offensive assistant with the Colts and married to former Colts and Panthers reporter Caroline Cann; Reich officiated their nuptials) and Jason Michael (current TE coach with the Eagles). Both have history with Reich at previous stops. Michael Groh (current WR coach and former Colts assistant) has also been mentioned as a potential addition to Reich’s staff.

Still can’t believe we lost to a Trubisky-led Steelers at home. But I digress - happier times ahead!
-
So true. I’m really excited that we got this guy.
-
I like him even more now. Wilson is a disingenuous prick.
-
Reggie Wayne would be a great addition to the offensive staff if true. We could use an upgrade here as our WR coaching has been a bit underwhelming for some time now. We’ll see if there’s any interest there.
-
This ^^^ it would be asking Wilks to accept a demotion of sorts. I also get the feeling that Tepper wants to take things in a different direction - defense included. And while the optics may be a little fishy from a legal standpoint, based on the inconsistencies we’ve seen - and the possibilities with the young core players - you can’t really blame him.

Jeff Howe on the Panthers "power dynamics"
Prowler2k18 replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
This right here….never understood this either. Huge misstep by Rhule. I’m still convinced Christensen could’ve been at least a serviceable tackle if given the chance but after a bout of foot-in-mouth disease Rhule was determined make this work. -
Steve Smith on the Wilks vs Reich debate
Prowler2k18 replied to methodtoll's topic in Carolina Panthers
This 1000%. Ditto on the TB game for a shot at the division and playoffs. I like Wilks but his coaching didn’t rise to the occasion during for these critical games, which likely weighed heavily into their decision to go with Reich. -

A great take by Smitty on why Reich was chosen over Wilks. -
THE ATHLETIC: Potential cap casualties….

That’s what I meant to say - my bad. Thanks for the clarification and I agree. -
THE ATHLETIC: Potential cap casualties….
Prowler2k18 replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Trading him would probably be the best option. But it would not surprise me if Shaq’s contract gets restructured to lessen the cap hit this year due to or lack of LB depth. -
Not a fan of the profanity either but this team has a bad habit of playing soft at times and needs some in-your-face coaching and a kick in its complacency to build toughness we need.
-
Are you saying that jacket doesn’t “Fitt”? I’ll see myself out
-
If that’s the case, I hope Evero will get consideration by Reich and co. He’s young defensive coach and rising star we interviewed earlier. Credited for being a steadying influence during an otherwise tumultuous Broncos season and coached under Fangio when he was in Denver.
-
Valid point. Was wondering the same thing. He was a DC for 2 years in Seattle but mostly a defensive assistant or DB coach since until his gig with Saints.
-
Makes sense. May take over in the same role here. He’s a helluva RB coach as well.
-
You’re probably right and perhaps they were ‘coached’ on what questions not to ask.
-
Also explains why Ms Tepper is becoming more involved with the football side. I know he’s new to this but there’s been some expensive swings and misses out of the gate.
