  1. Yeah SVP may as well. Really the top 3 are top 100 draftable players, even factoring in position value. After those 3, imo it's a nose dive to blah. There is maybe 2 others that interest me: dude from Wisconsin, Bortolini, then the dude from Louisville, Bryan Hudson. Saw Hudson as a freshman play pretty damn well at VT. He was a standout for the beastly rushing attack for 195ypg this year. He's not the best pass blocker, but a mean SOB in the run game. He's projected as a UDFA, and I think that's a little much. Bortolini is a big dude and the better athlete. Another one that's better in the run game currently. He likely has better projection based on size, length, athletic traits. He's maaaybe 4th but likely later rounds for us.
  2. Then you want Malachi Corley. Dude is a good route runner and a tank. Think deebo or Smitty. He's the guy we have a shot at. At 33, idk, he's likely in a few years in that top 33 from the class, but will go lower. Will he make it to 65, doubt it. But he's a guy in covet. He's a #1 wr, but would likely best live in the slot like deebo and Smitty. Other on the list is Roman Wilson. He really climbed boards this week as more than an athlete but a wr. Only guy that beat every CB in 1-1. Quniyon Mitchell otherwise locked everyone else up (he punched his 1st round ticket this week, else I 100% be fine grabbing him at 33 as it's a steal). He's a slot guy Rice was another standout. Helps to have wr blood too. He's not a top guy, but he's going to make it in the league and be a fine #2/#3 as well. Ladd is the guy everyone is over valuing to me. I get it, he has good short area quickness, sinks hips and cuts are best of the lot to get separation on timing routes. He's a #2 or king of the slot guy to me. Ask him to just win deep or contested, not the one I'm looking for. Agree we need another like him other than AT who's getting up there. I'm fine waiting for Pearsall as the same, but bigger version later. Another good route runner, good into/out of breaks, and strong handed.
  3. So Penix is off my board. Last minute scratch was weak. Nix is testing my resolve. He had a chance to show he doesn't only live on short throws and all the practice reports really hold him for it. We don't need another 10yards and under guy. I'd say nix is off as of today. He's gotta show more at the combine and pro day.
  4. Yeah it's one way the Texans flipped the script so fast. They moved on from Watson and got their kings ransom for him. We had the rams offering another kings ransom and said no. Last year's draft could have mirrored the Texans and we would have easily won the division with all the draft capital to move into position to take Stroud and still fill the roster with early round talent. Oops I'd say winning the NFC South is a low bar that could be achieved but the cost would be overpaid vets with no upside past NFC South title. Rather strip the thing down and prep for 2025.
  5. @top dawg looks like your boy showed up and snagged MVP honors for the game. At times he is the best player on the field. If he was consistent, he'd be a top 25 guy. Idk if I take him rnd 2 or 3 with our needs but he'll yes in the 4th. He might work his way into a top 60 pick though in the post season showcases.
  6. Robinson is sadly making me sad as he won't be there in the 4th or likely 3rd now. Pair him with DB in any front and damn nice core. Maason Smith is another interesting DE for us and can kick inside. Then there is Gabe Hall and Jordan Jefferson for 3-4 ends later who can kick inside. Braiden McGregor as a 4-3 end or big olb in a 3-4.
  7. Robinson is a fav of mine. Thinking effect Hardy or Crosby vibe. Few built like them.
  8. like fox, take the points. that cost him a possible SB for us, and the lions learned it as it cost them today. never know if the games go different if you take the points, but ouch, tough lesson to learn.
  9. exactly! i remember the "Gibbs that early, are they crazy! lions gonna lions" everyone else is the crazy ones. cause gibbs is a big part of that team.
  10. who knows if he will keep the silly season going, but Goff has been great almost all year. 1 undersized WR and a good/great ROOKIE TE. also they almost had our combo of double trouble this year with monte and gibbs cracking almost 1k rushing each. he could blow up and cost them tonight who knows. everyone laughed at the lions swapping goff and stafford, but this is working for both, hell the lions may long term be better for it than the rams.
  11. Zach Frazier enters the chat..... He's a nother big nasty center and tone setter. 4 year starter, started as a true freshman. 40+ total starts, 35+ at C, others at LG. Was the key to their extremely physical run centric game. Powers and SVP get the headlines, but Frazier as the 3rd C off the board in possibly the 3rd robbery. There are 3 really top end centers this draft, get 1 dammit.
  12. Sleeper for sure. Think he's going to put up banana numbers in drills and get everyone's attention.
  13. Rattler and Milton are the dark horse candidates to be great next level. Milton screams to position change next level to me. He just never put it together as a QB. As an athlete, he's great, and the zip from the arm is great. But so far it hasn't translated to be a good QB. Hell, he keeps getting passed over most stops in college much less the pros. He a shorter than Logan Thomas, but might be a hell of a TE with the size and speed Milton has. By Rattler is HS hype, good/great arm and ok athlete. He gets lots of grief for his attitude in HS and OU. If humble pie of USCe worked, he's worth a flier in 5 likely 4 as that arm is great. Personally I would take a flier on either round 5 or 6 if they are still somehow there.
  14. Tip of the hat to whoever did that for Houston and the Teppers fell for it
  15. Oh I knew that. Heck byu is an interesting one too with some taking mission years before school. Did they close that loop hole that professional in a previous sport means you can't play another as an amateur?
  16. Lol at an age limit, our own Chris Weinke played at 28 for FSU.
  17. You are welcome. It's so nail on the head.
  18. Heartbreak Ewers was my guy this year.
  19. Bama QBs sack 3 coaches this year: Frank Bill Nick
  20. Texas was the perfect mismatch. Texas was a great run stopping team and worst pass d coming into that game. And people fapped to that performance. It was a gift. He had chances before the end to really effect the game and missed a lot.
