Not wrong. Healthy jimmy g looked good for 1 full season and in parts of 2 prior. Last year yuck but that was all san fran. If he plays, he's good enough to command the weapons we have well (now the line would need to keep him up and that's a stretch right now). If the line let's him down and gets him hit, likely breaks and road to top 5 pick again. Only way I take jimmy is on a pure swap with teddy and 4th or lower going to san fran. Both teams can cut bait next year, and san fran gets some play money now.

His claim to fame is holding chase young at bay for 1 game. Idk projectable guy, improving YOY, athletic. Maybe he can hold the fort at RT year one, and improve to a LT later. I like Jenkins more as he just had really 1 guy give him fits. And in the run game he's damn dominant. Brady Christianson is a dark horse. timed well, played well at BYU. He is getting more buzz post workout. Before hand he was a wait and see type, film good, not great, level of competition good not great. Issue is arm length under the magic 33", but ever draftniks favorite slater is also sub 33. Later guy I'm all in on: Aldrick Jackson- long time iowa LT, even with wirfs around in iowa. Opened eyes at his pro day. I pegged him at LG, but he measure well, tested well. So maybe he can stay at OT.

Fitterer should have a good read on jimmy g. If he believes he's capable of enough to be be the guy he could work. Sf wanted a backup to jimmy g at first. They can get cap relief by switching out jimmy g for teddy. Now if that's not enough, I don't think I'm buying in on him with that contract. Darnold is closer to damaged good. The seeing ghosts was funny and all but damn if he didn't play like it the last year +. I doubt he is cheap enough. Also is he really good enough or another tannehill lite, good but not enough to push the team over the top? Minshew is a wild card. I'm not ready to throw a bunch of money and picks after him. He is middling. We have a little less than that so he may get is to what .500? Do I see a SB champ in that guy? Eh not really. So do we want to be on the mediocrity treadmill with him?

I'm ok with Trask outside of the 1st and cringe on a statue in the 2nd. Now that there will be stupid amounts of QBs all up front, it's going to pull the lackluster lot up with them The secondary to all this: few teams have some really hard pills to swallow with dealing current starting QBs that are going to find new homes if they want a chance to start. Might be a buyers market on a few if them.

He is literally a taller Russell Wilson. Good/great wheels but uses them to create plays with the cannon he calls a right arm. I was skeptical till today. If healthy, he's 1-1, small school be damned. And I think LT is the best prospects to come out since Luck before this. Yeah it's a pro day but he more than answered and on field questions today.

Also looks like we were at VT in force today, with DB and OL staff as well as as a few others. still looking for how my boy Christian Darrisaw fared. Unlikely he is a 2nd round guy though unless he bombed today. I think he's #2-4 OT depending on how you view Slater and Vera-Tucker. I see both more as G 1st with OT potential than OT that can switch to G if they flop like Little. EDIT: Darrisaw did drills only (damn). Haven't found official measurements yet though

The issue he had was speed rushers. There are concerns he won't be the best pass pro guy against speed rushers as he had a few hiccups with OU against speed rushers. Yes the league is putting speed on both sides of the line, but typically you still want the best guy coming at the qb from his blind side. So stick the best OT against pass rushers on the blindside. Maybe that's Jenkins and not Moton, not 100% sure, but Moton atleast has reps as an NFL OT for a while now. If you think Moron can hold up enough on the backside, Jenkins can be the people mover on the right side like Williams or Otah before him. I'm ok with Moton over there as he wasn't lost against dallas over there for a game. I'm not sure he may be elite as a LT, but we know he can handle most rushers he saw on the right side, and is solid in the run game.

Same on Jenkins. If he is there to start end 2, move up for him. Big nasty RT road grader type. Kinda another Otah type of not really a good fit at LT but hell of a RT.
-
stretch if he stays outside at RT l, but love to bring him in as a LG prospect. Iowa produces solid lineman. He is a sleeper imo.
-
All senior bowl was leatherwood wasn't a good enough athlete at OT and was over matched, slow. So then he goes out and blows that narrative up today, good for him. Doubt he makes it to us in the second but really wish we could get him.

So Tavon Austin clone?

Depends on what the Jets want for Darnold. 3rd or lower, sure sign me up, second no thanks, 1st lols. My fear with Darnold is he is broken like David Carr. Otherwise, yeah Jones v Darnold is a push and Darnold should be cheaper.
-
I'll say this: Jones at 8 vs Trask in the 3rd, I take Trask all day.

Eh, I'm still on board Pitts as a fall back plan, even after signing Arnold. he is somewhere between Greg Olsen and Vernon Davis as a prospect. To me it's a Derwin James type situation: you know the guy is walking in to the NFL as a top 5 guy at his position, just not as important as the rest of the regulars (kickers excluded). That said James in my mind was undervalued even at safety, sucks the guy has had issues staying on the field.

Grimes is a guy that I'm bullish on. Waaay undervalued by a few sites (190+ overall). Boom bust guy, but I get the shades of old man Ted Ginn. Good speed has hops, but production was lacking. Has he ever returned punts at UF? Unlike Ginn, Grimes is a better lob threat and sturdier too. Seen him in the mid to late 6th and I'm all in on that loto ticket that late. He booms you profit, he doesn't meh. Also, see Trask undervalued as well. Slipping from the 1st to in cases the 3rd now. I know his limitations are elite arm strength and is a statue, but give him 3 really good weapons and a meh to good online, and think he would be a fine qb. Thinking CMC, DJ, RA, are a nice starting group for him. Now sprinkle in Pitts in 1st (or Chase if he fell) with Arnold as another matchup issue, and Trask can spin it to put up big numbers. Unsure why folks around here don't like Trask more, good mental makeup to push it good in the pocket and can get the ball out and on target.
-
Bet it's less. Hell he may already be broke at this point and living off NFL cred that's now over.
-
Jaylen for sure. He is perfect replacement, great pass rusher, and beside brown, will be more than serviceable in the run game. His compa are literally KK and geno Atkins. Both get after the QB just like Jaylen. Shocked how many are sleeping on him this draft cycle

I'm glad I'm not the only one laughing at so many mock simulators that have Paris Ford and Trey Hill outside the top 150 guys. I really want Hill, think he is a absolute monster inside. Worst case he is a 10 year RG, best he is all pro center. Dude really has only a few little downsides (not the most athletic guy to play the spot, and sometimes isn't perfect as a second level blocker), but he controls the line in both phases. Also I think Terrance Marshall Jr is better than the last few wr on you top 50. He got to be #3 on a loaded squad so got less looks and then instantly went to a baby faced team that wasn't as good at qb. Still did good/great in both situations for a young college guy.

Breeland, pick up your jock now. Run over and around.
-
Fournette is making breeland his bitch all fuging night
-
So db for bucs can grab early, but not kc. Understood
-
Fournette looking good.
-
Boomer will be fired for saying that about the refs
-
KC shouldn't have used the timeouts to get the ball back, refs were not going to let that happen.
