  1. Have a blessed one folks!
  2. That happens when you trade away most of your picks.
  3. Tuttle is too lite to play NT. That was my contention all along. Now we don't have to look fro a NT in the draft.
  4. All of them thus far are late round UFA types. Remember, we don't have another pick after round 5, so we have a lot of roster to fill with UDFAs. Also, can't really burn one of our 4 remaining picks (after QB) on a backup lineman despite needing a couple.
  5. We mainly have addressed the defense for a couple of years. It's time to concentrate on the offense. You want young skill players to grow together and while we have FAs pick ups this offseason at all of those spots, they are short-term solutions. We need 3-4 picks on the offensive side of the ball in the draft. Maybe Fitts trades back so we can get another pick or two to devote to the defense. If not, I'm fine with only one or two picks in the draft on D.
  6. So the plethora of bodies at one positions is inadequate, but just enough JAGs at other potions is fine? I'm not against drafting a corner, but we have guys for days there, just not ones folks here are high on apparently.
  7. JSN and Sanders are #39 targets. Mingo, Jones and Brents are 3rd-4th round targets. Pool is our late round guy. I have no idea about the OT.
  8. Bodied this one fellas. Traded back with Houston who took AR. I thought, well crap, he's the only reason I didn't go back to #4 initially, but since the Texans nabbed him let me go ahead and trade with Indy. The Colts took Stroud and left me with the QB we probably would have taken at #1 anyway. Got all positions of need and key depth. Books projects to a 3-4 End and Coburn is a true NT.
  9. The entire FA D-front are rentals. Yes, we have players there this year, but I don't want to start a bunch of rookies in 2024. D. Williams, Anderson, R. Williams--our project DEs are all on one year deals. Tuttle is basically a two-year and I honestly don't like the fit at NT. Roy sucks and is on his last year. McCall has another year, but an unknown and we have not locked up Brown, who is in his final year. Funny how we sign some seat-warming pedestrian FAs for our D-line and everyone wants to gloss over it in the draft.
  10. I would love to trade back with on of the 4th rounders to gain another pick or two. If so, NT for sure and possibly a 5-tech. I'm not drafting a corner for injury concerns. Horn an Jackson just need to stay freaking healthy.
  11. QB, TE, WR, OLB/Edge, RB, S--in that order.
  12. I have no problems with the 0 jersey. I DO have a problem with kickers wearing 90's digits however. It looks stupid and the reason I can't stand the college free-for-all jersey numbers. Historically saved for 300+ pound D-lineman and some 175 pound placekicker trots out wearing #99, smh. Still not a fan of LBs and DBs wearing single digits either.
  13. Tackling machine. Late round pick.
  14. The same, on and off, but I got 10 years on you if you started from the outset. I ghost the place for a while when it gets bad...and man does it get bad from time to time. Incarnation #4 for me.
  15. Please. That opens us up options to trade back if we choose to do so. Atlanta would be one of the only teams that could trade all the way up to the top 4. Everyone else is so far back it would cost them dearly.
  16. Smoke...upping the asking price. Things are more costly when thought unattainable.
  17. I'm taking Flowers, but he likely won't be there. I'm honestly taking the top TE at #39 and don't really care that it's not listed in the few positions in this particular mock scenario. The best four TEs are all top 40 prospects, so at least one will be there.
  18. Anderson and Williams are just on one year deals. Basically to help with the transition to a 3-4, which both of them have played in with prior teams. They will be playing end rather than DT.
  19. It wouldn't shock me if they ask Chinn to add more weight and become a permanent LB. I think we get too caught up in Jeremy "wasting" his talents as just a LB since he's got coverage ability. I mean, with Woods and Bell, the safety position is on lock down. Being just the big nickle is limiting Chinn, IMO.
  20. You pretty much hit the nail on the head, although I think Luvu and Smith could play inside or out. I'd rather keep Luvu inside (savvy veteran) and let the youngster Smith chase the QB.
  21. Tuttle can play across the line, but I want a hoss in the middle, he's not big enough. Also Tuttle is essentially just a two year stop-gap. McCall has the size, but can he play there? Roy can't play it-- he doesn't have the anchor. Dude got pushed around as a 3-tech. I'd rather have Brown slim down and play end.
