Could, but will he? Tepper already shoveled out a poo ton to a failed head coach. Denver's new ownership is eager to throw money at someone, as reported, so money is no object. They want THE BEST guy (in their minds) for the job. They will not settle for the #2 guy. In other words, if it comes down to a bidding war between Denver's ownership and Tepper if they want the same guy, it could get VERY pricey.

Tisk, tisk, tisk....we do not speak/type that name. It is forboden. There needs to be a filter that pops up used-car-saleman when that named is typed just like the filter when someone types a cuss word.

Yeah, as mentioned earlier, Harbaugh's likely to pull a Pete Carrol. If these investigations have any teeth, he's not going to stick around for any sanctions. Pete was like--'the NFL sounds really good about now' and dipped on USC as the program was about to get penalized. Hey, it worked out for the Seahawks. Maybe the formula of NFL--> College--> NFL could work again. Carrol was anything but successful in his first NFL coaching stint, but the second time seems to a charm for many coaches in the NFL.

According to the Huddle, you can only get cornerstone players in spots 1-3. Is this not correct? Why else would they pound the desk about the absolute necessity of squandering future first round selections every draft season to move into the top 3?

Stroud is likely going #1 overall. The Texans need a QB too. It ain't happening. It's either him or Young and I just don't think the Texans are going to take an undersized QB.

We won't have to move up for him. Lets say he bust and we dumped the equivalent of 3 first rounders for him. Fitts, or whomever the GM is, will have their head on a platter.

His OC/DC during his 49er days were Vic Fangio and Greg Roman. Fangio is available, I think and Roman is about to lose Jackson in Baltimore, so he may be willing to walk.

I'm not completely thrilled about Harbaugh, but would be more inclined to be excited if I had an inkling of who his OC would be.

Yes and Tepper got burned with a large contract last time too. The things I've been hearing/reading about Denver is they are going to VERY aggressive and will get their guy. Money is no object. So it's a matter of how big will Tepper go in order to not get outbid. Again, if Harbaugh is their guy, Tepper is going to have to counter offer...probably more than once. While other factors are baked into the deal, amount, incentives and duration all come into play. Personnel matters, while important, are secondary to the money aspect.

Remember who own the Broncos now. Tepper could get outbid. The old Broncos owners could not have got into a bidding war with Tepper, the Waltons, however...they have money to burn.

He'd better bring a heck of an OC into the fold. I'm so over the run, run, pass, punt mentality of our past HCs.

Players only have 3 more days to declare for the draft...I think the 6th is the deadline. DraftTeks top 50 still have 10 guys that have yet to declare, most are either on Georgia's roster or teams that just played this past weekend. They have to decide quickly. Georgia's slate is fairly large overall, but TCU has several guys that should get drafted too. They have to decide before the Natty.

I'm done with HCs with defensive mindsets. Yes, I realize he's an ex-QB, but he coaches like he played LB. Run the ball, clock control and keep the game low scoring. I done with that poo.

Fitterer didn't give us the Bengals and Steelers debacles along with the inability to cover go routes during the Bucs game. Some good, some bad...but the bad outweighed the good.
