  1. I don't even want Fields at #8, let alone trading up for him. A solid NO for me.
  2. We address this need in FA. A weak TE class overall (except the top couple guys) and we need a player that can contribute immediately, especially if we draft a rookie QB. We don't the rookie QB's security blanket requiring training wheels too. More than enough serviceable guys in FA this year to meet that need and can be signed to reasonable contracts.
  3. I don't get to tell my boss what I think the future of the company should be. Why are athletes any different? Just because they are paid millions that means they get to tell their superiors how to run their organizations? Nope, that's not how business works. Companies have structural hierarchies for a reason. The NFL is still a business at its core and the players--'employees' need to understand their role in the organization. If they want a NFL executive job, retire first and then give it a go. Don't try to be a player/GM. Sure that works in Madden, but not in real life.
  4. A mid-tier guy: nothing more, nothing less. TE isn't a staple in Joe Brady's offense, so why pay the big bucks? However, when called upon he needs to be reliable. Thus, see my first sentence.
  5. What in the world were you thinking with that first mock???? The second one I could deal with, but that first one?
  6. Yeah, if Wilson and Lance are gone when we pick, I'm taking BPA and that won't be Fields.
  7. I'm down with the pick, not moving up to #3 though. Yes, I have Lance rated higher than Fields.
  8. Eh, tepid for me brother. Not bad, but not getting any tingles either.
  9. How many National titles does Wilson have? Undefeated seasons??? Pick-less seasons???? Anything??????
  10. If Wetnz is moved, is Hurts really their guy or just the starter by default?
  11. I'm really hoping so. They may be tipping point as to whether we stay at #8 or move up. If they are drafting a QB, we will have to jump up to #5.
  12. The question then is, will Philly roll with Hurts, go aggressive in FA and/or draft a QB?
  13. Wow! 100% not realistic, but impressive still.
  14. Exactly which is not necessary unless you have a man-crush on Wilson. If we move up, #5 would be sufficient to grab a QB. The Lions and Eagles may draft a QB, but they will not move up to get one. Miami is NOT moving on from Tua. That is offseason rumor mill horse crap. Depending what happens with the QB carousel, we may not have to move up at all.
  15. "Carolina will likely have to give up its first-, third-, and fourth-round selections this year along with a first- and third-rounder in 2022..." No, just no.
  16. Yeah, it's monopoly money at that point. This is where you get teams so cap flush they sign guys like Devin Funchess to $13M deals, even for only a year *Colts*. It's one thing to be filthy cap rich, but it's another to have a decent product on the field too. It's a delicate balance. Ideally, for a competitive team you would like north of $40M heading into the offseason. The Browns, for years, had the crazy amounts of cap space and it got them nowhere. Getting back to your cut list, I wouldn't lose any sleep over those guys not being here next year. Honestly, Little is probably the odds favorite to remain of the bunch.
  17. Unless a trade occurs, Teddy will be here next season. It makes little sense to cut him outright and it will give a rookie QB some time to learn the NFL. Signing another mid-tier FA QB to compete with Teddy is about pointless.
  18. Right, but OSUs looooong futility at the QB position in the NFL is completely acceptable. BYU? Okay, I'll give you Steve Young...riding out the coattails of the Montana/Walsh dynasty.
  19. Please, please, please...... The only team my gut says will actually be ballsy enough to jump way up in the draft ahead of us if they can't land a new QB via trade.
  20. Is Trubisky involved if it's the Bears? Remember he's not officially a FA until free agency opens.
  21. While I'm at it, they also say we re-sign Okung to an average $16.6M/year deal and Samuel signs elsewhere for $8.3M/year. Those were our top FAs. PFFs top 150 FAs
  22. Who would pay Moton $16.5M average salary a year? That's what is PFF is projecting (speculating) him to get. As for me? Nope, it was nice knowing ya!
  23. Again, if everyone sits tight with their current QB. With the inflated QB market right now, it's very possible. That said, if guys aren't moved, I don't see the Jets, Falcons, Eagles or Lions drafting a QB. At most one and that would be the Jets as an insurance plan for Darnold.
  24. Ultimately I hope the asking price to move these guys gets so ludicrous that everyone decides it's best just to stick with current QB, at least for this year. Who does that help in the draft? The Panthers. If the draft order stays as is, we should be a lock to pick one of the 'big 4' without having to move up ourselves.
