  1. LOl! Not at you, at that team. I would love to know (I know you can't divulge though) who that team is so when Lance is a Pro Bowler in a 2-3 years I can laugh at those knuckle-heads.
  2. The fact he stuck around last year tells you all you need to know about our secondary. Never thought Corn was more than a backup nickle.
  3. Nope nope, nope! I'm old school can't stand that WRs all want to wear teens now. The college numbering system is dumb and a small reason why I don't watch more of it. Seeing D-linemen wear single digits and punters wearing 99 rubs me the wrong way much like having sand in my bathing suit.
  4. Whew...and here I was thinking taking 3 OL was going overboard! I agree, our OL has been horrible for a long time, but I'm not certain I would devote most of the draft there. All in all, I wouldn't complain with this draft, especially if a QB isn't there at #8. Yes, I am tempted to double dip at corner too. You and I are in the same boat that Jackson isn't the solution and will be in another uniform once he hits FA. He's not worth a big contract so we might as well back fill from this draft to groom for that inevitability.
  5. Nope. Jake was a FA pickup and was here a shorter time relative to the others you mentioned. I dig Jake, but #17 should not be retired.
  6. Fields (do not want) Jones (do not want) Lance Sewell Slater Surtain (do not want)
  7. Please, please let the 49ers take Jones. My draft night may hinge on that 3rd pick.
  8. Seeing Lance in a Falcons uniform will make me puke. At least in SF we would only have to play against him every once in a while.
  9. Better question is if we draft Lance and keep Bridgewater, who gets #5? Give it up Teddy!
  10. Almost a perfect draft...almost. #121 was CB St. Juste from Minnesota. Stupid banner ad.
  11. According to PFF, we are in the driver's seat for Darnold IF the Jets are willing to trade him. They seem to think that it's Mac Jones or Darnold for us. I tend to agree. If Jets trade Darold, Carolina is the top team
  12. ^^^ This exactly. I wouldn't argue that point at all. Of all the talking heads, Jeremiah one of the few I value their input. What about Lance? I know I will get asked that. I would slot Darnold above Lance based on experience alone, but not on long term outlook.
  13. Eh, both mocks have their share of head-scratchers. Not shocking, you said this was form Joe Persons, correct? Despite missing out on the QB, I think mock B is the better of the two. Neither are great.
  14. Where in the world did you see that??? I mean chat rooms aside....like a legit source?
  15. Here's how I look at the Niners taking Mac Jones situation; that's one team off the board for another QB or OT to be there for us at #8. That means only ONE TEAM, just one has to take another position other than QB or OT for us get one of those very two targets. Meaning it will be extremely likely we get to have a shot at either a QB or OT, if not a choice of the two. So yeah, I'm all about the Niners taking Mac Jones.
  16. If Mac Jones ends up playing like I think he will, they may be out of a job in a year or two anyhow for passing up on Fields and Lance.
  17. Lucky for him Jax tanked harder than the Jets, although I don't think the Jets were tanking. Sadly they only won one more game than the Jags actually trying. Not that going to Jacksonville is much better, BTW.
  18. How many QBs careers have the Jets ruined? At some point you have to look at the organization instead of the players. I don't think Darnold is all that and a bag of chips, but he's not horrible either.
  19. The Niners are either going to look like geniuses in a few years or like complete morons. There's no middle ground on this move from my perspective.
  20. But why #3? I guess the NFL is WAY higher on Jones than a lot of us are. Even if the Niners thought we would take him at #8, they didn't have to jump all the way up to #3 to secure him. This still baffles me.
  21. If we have our QB, then that's a draft pick slot filled that we otherwise would have used. Plus, we could either move back in the first or second round to recoup the Darnold pick.
  22. I'd do a 3rd and build around him. If the Panthers do trade for Darold, take the OT at #8 or move back.
  23. Unless the price tag is reasonable for Darnold now, we wait and let the first round play itself out. We will be kicking ourselves in one of the "big 4" is there at #8 and we already have Darnold on the roster because we got overly anxious.
