He handed the ball off 35-40 times a game, got blown out by the one true contender we had on our schedule, and poo the bed vs a terrible Tampa team. Nothing he did was wonderful, it was an average\below average job done by a guy with actual NFL coaching experience, not a guy holding up a DBO sign.

Wilks is not a NFL HC, it has nothing to do with him being black, but thats what kept him in consideration. If Wilks was white he probably doesnt even get the 1st interview, for sure never gets a 2nd wanting to hold on to Holcomb as his DC.

Thats why Tepper kept Wilks in consideration for so long to protect himself from this nonsense. He can say without a doubt he gave Wilks serious consideration but decided to go another route. Wilks was never getting the HC job here.

Wilks was given the best shot at the job he could get and he did his interview like: I plan on keeping Holcomb as my DC all we need is a few lucky bounces and we can be the WC team that gets blown out sometimes if we get really lucky. Then he pulls some bullshit race crap, hell no, kick rocks.

ITs not corny if its the truth, The dude was a DC at Missouri before Rhule/Tepper pulled him out of his misery. He wasnt even good enough to be their head coach. He was out of the NFL since 2019. No one is seriously considering adding Wilks as their HC or DC, he MIGHT get a smaller role for some team but I wouldnt hold my breath.

MoRon is a mediocre HC in the NFL. This is already proven as he has 3 winning season out of 12 as a HC. Reich had 3 winning seasons out of 4 in indy without a Cam Newton or Luke Keuchly.

It is past time to draft and develop a guy, we have not had a real QB to develop since Cam and he was drafted 12 years ago.

And they ended at 4-12-1, so to recap Reich was not their problem, like it was with us and Rhule. His replacement went 1-7 our replacement went 6-6 and he is an inferior coach to Reich.
