Bryce Young post benching if it were a full season worth of stats.
jb2288 replied to Car123's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is what I can’t follow. Nobody is saying right now Bryce is going to carry a bad roster to the playoffs (nobody can besides Tom Brady, look at the Bengals with 2 great WRs). We’re saying stop being overly emotional and so stuck to your perceived biases and having to show everyone you actually werent wrong, and take Bryce’s play at face value. Which is very clearly a young guy who had a horrible situation around him his rookie year and has made an exponential leap and we want to see what year 3 looks like. -

If you read any of the first few pages the accurate numbers were very quickly posted and are what is being discussed in page 10 of this thread. It’s also insane to act like Bryce’s rushing touchdowns don’t count, like a poster tried to argue, because he isn’t your prototypical rushing QB. -

Why are you allowed to take whatever hypothetical leaps you want when it comes to Bryce but if someone else does it they are putting other players down? You literally were in here earlier pooing on how we can’t pay anyone because we had to put all our money in the OL for Young. So for Young that’s a huge negative that hurts the team, but yet you take Chubbas benefit of a great OL to try to prove a point. You’re talking in circles but will then try to respond playing it down on how your specific scenario is different and valid while putting others down for taking the same liberties. also, yes Chubba would be behind Kamara and Bijan. How is that even a negative remark? All 3 are good. -

The most reasonable post I’ve read in years on here -

What does this even mean? A rushing TD is worth 6 points if it’s Cam Newton, Lamar Jackson, Bryce Young, 2015 Peyton Manning. -

lol didn’t have to go far on that thread to find someone bashing the huddle -
I don’t think we should draft one this year but the notion that you can just get plug and play RBs in UDFA is comical. The devaluation of the RB position is way overblown at this point.

The third? Round? He will be long gone

Feels a little high I probably still have CJ above Bryce but it’s nice to see national people can see things objectively

The roster we fielded Sunday was pretty close. Evero has some stuff the drives me crazy he needs to clean up, but I can’t fault him for this past weekend. We were way past the tipping point of having so little talent no amount of scheme and coaching could fix it

A Tankathon Approach to the remaining Schedule

Well it’s the Jets so who knows but if he moves on and I’m them, I fully build around Wilson, Sauce and Quinnen -
What year was Tepper hired? In all seriousness, I think we restarted for like the 4th time the day we hired Reich. Which is so dumb we’re somehow on our second head coach already in this rebuild, but at least the guy we got seems to be competent to date. Canales Y3 is when we will know if the rebuild worked.

Thank you for your permission to discuss next years win/loss record in the next years win/loss record thread lol
-
You didn’t predict anything, you’re just telling me I can’t use this years record, experiences, and stats, as a baseline and assumed future moves we make to make an educated guess on next seasons record. Which is just a silly thing in a thread where the whole point is predicting next years record.
-
Sure. Some get worse too.
-
Why are you in a thread about next years win/loss record if your take is “you cannot predict how it will play out”?
-
Yeah that’s fair, 6 would def be optimistic but I like what I’ve seen last quarter of the year so I’ll keep my head in the clouds we can get to 4. I think Canales having a year of experience is good for at least 2 more wins next year
-
I don’t know where you’re seeing 6 either as I pretty clearly said 4. The only sure losses on that list are bills and rams
-
We have dropped, what, 3 one score games this year? While playing Andy Dalton for 5 games? The way Bryce is playing now we win one of those Andy games. I don’t think you have to hit a home run on EVERY move to get to 8 wins. The current young guys will get better, say that’s good for 1 win. Our rookie HC gets better and one of the 3 one score losses we win, that’s 1 win. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think we can then get better over the offseason to account for 2 more wins. optimistic take, yes I know, but isn’t unreasonable imo
-
That’s why I asked to clarify. Shaq prob isn’t back next year, but for this year that was a huge loss. We’re elevating no name dudes to play LB
-
Not too bad. 6 winnable games there just at home. Take 4 there and Jets, Bears, Cardinals on the road. Yes easier said than done, but I could see us getting to 8
-
Like as of Sunday? Chubba, Horn, Moton. But it’s not just impact players, when you have your depth guys out it can hurt you just as much because then you’re activating practice squad LBs to be starters. That drop off is prob worse than starters to second string.

This roster? Assuming you mean current active players, no absolutely not but with injuries coming back draft and FA I’m going 8-9 next year
