  1. According to our insider here, the staff isn't waiting for pro days. Their mind will be made up after tomorrow and they'll make their move accordingly. I hope it's AR, and not just because of the combine... the combine just enhanced his value.
  2. Idk what his official time will be, but I'm convinced AR could've run faster than a 4.44 considering he was swerving the entire time. If he runs and stays between the lines the whole time, I'd put money on an official 4.3. Also, it is official. He is the guy we need to go get.
  3. Yeah, I've been impressed. He's been effortlessly fluid.
  4. I just don't see the appeal of Levis. They keep talking about the "cannon" and I don't see it. The accuracy hasn't been all that impressive compared to his peers throwing today either. And that's paired with the disappointing year he's coming off of. I don't want any parts of that dude. I also think I am officially transitioning into AR or bust territory. And I have a feeling after the combine that's gonna require moving up to #1.
  5. I've been all in on AR. I'm even more so now. Move up to where we need to and take AR, period.
  6. I have been able to browse, but I shared with the other mods that I was getting a weird auto-scrolling thing happening anytime I tried to post. Y'all may have seen some of my posts with weird like 30 empty spacing lines between paragraphs, and that's ehat was causing it. It also would not allow me to type if I didn't hit the first letter within like a millisecond, it would automatically close my keyboard and start auto-scrolling. I never got any feedback about it. I started using a different browser and it wouldn't ever happen on there. I suspect it's pop-ups/ads, which I have an ad blocker for, so I think I'm not seeing them, but they're still doing this wonky stuff to the interface. I'm back using Samsung browser, and it's calmed down, but yeah, it's some weird stuff going on.
  7. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35518669/aaron-rodgers-open-reworking-deal-plays-2023%3fplatform=amp Because of that, he said Tuesday on "The Pat McAfee Show" he knows his current contract probably isn't viable for the Green Bay Packers or any other team. Rodgers has $59.465 million guaranteed if he plays in 2023, as part of the three-year, $150 million contract extension he signed in March. It carries a salary-cap charge of $31,623,570 for next season. "There's a lot of teams, because of COVID, that are strapped, and you're seeing with a lot of different contracts, they're pushing more money out in deals," Rodgers said on the show. "They're creating void years to allow for an easier cap hit, so there would have to be some adjustments, for sure."
  8. I honestly could see it for a 2nd and 3rd or 4th. But even 2 2nds for a potential Superbowl run in year one under Reich while Rodgers' successor is waiting behind him? Sign me up.
  9. Can't remember which one said it yesterday, Fitt or Reich, (I think it was Fitt) but they basically said we are in win-now mode. And if we get Rodgers that becomes more like, "win-Superbowl-now."
  10. TBH, Aaron is a douche, but if you ask me, this move would make a ton more sense if we're drafting AR with our first pick. Rodgers isn't gonna be looking for 5 years. Maybe 3 max. He honestly might not even be thinking about playing beyond next season. He's essentially been playing on one-year deals for the last 2 or 3 seasons, iirc. Also, DJ and TMJ would be the most talented receiver duo he's played with in years. He'd be the perfect bridge and makes much more sense from a fit perspective than Carr and a rookie. If we were to make this move, you can also expect a ton of high-end vets looking for one last run to join here on one-year sweetheart deals, much like the huge infusion of talent the Bucs got when Brady joined there. I like it. Also, I kind of had a feeling, because when Florio asked Reich about it, Reich's laugh was pretty telling... it made for an uncomfortable moment. I also just can't imagine the Packers could demand much as Aaron has the leverage there and he's 39 years old regardless... this is interesting.
  11. Yup, snd as Fitt has said, you gotta keep swinging til you hit, and we've missed a lot the last 3 years... With this staff, I feel like you take the guy with the highest ceiling (AR) and let them work. I've just got this intuition that if we get him, he is going to become a star.
  12. 11M? That's it? Wow. Also, isn't Geiseki a FA this offseason? If we're looking for a TE we can split out that is primarily a receiving threat and not so much an in-line guy that blocks as well (like an Engram), I would prolly prefer Geiseki due to the size. Pause.
  13. Man, it's a lot of bad though. But, you make a very, very valid point in that it is difficult to judge anyone under the former staff under which CJ was acquired and played for. It's just for me, the eye test suggests he will never live up to that draft billing, and in fact, the reality is likely far removed from that. He just has had some horrible gaffes that you don't see from even average #2 corners. I still remember going to the Superbowl with undrafted guys like Terry Cousins and Reggie Howard, and I don't remember those guys ever making the boneheaded plays CJ has repeatedly. And that's why, even under a different staff I just wouldn't have much hope for him... I would love to be proven wrong if he's here, but man... a lot of those plays just looked like he was mentally checked out, and I don't think any coach is gonna fix that.
  14. Despite being torched against TB last season, I still think Taylor has a chance to be really good. He has shown more to me in flashes than CJ ever has.
  15. Yeah, but not typically when they have a full rookie contract's worth of tape proving said athleticism doesn't translate very well or at all lol. And as far as Daniel Jones... yeah, that's ridiculous, but he's a QB and those guys seem to destroy the previous market value every year.
  16. poo sounds like the lumber market on steroids last year. I'll wait.
  17. CJ must be a hacker, because ain't no way anybody but himself would believe that poo.
  18. Again, just speculation on my part here, Verge... but, I was saying this under the guise of us giving him 2, maybe 3 years max. I think his decision with us is going to hinge on if he's willing to accept that here. It's likely NO or NYJ would give him 5 years.
  19. But he did under Turner, but his shoulder had already been damaged to the point of no return by then. I didnt forget anything, brother... hr may not have always been consistent, but the dude came in the league throwing for 400 yards a game lol. I'd be interested in the metrics you're using that made him a bottom third passer in the league.l, because sure, he might not have been completing 73% of his passes, and his QB rating might've been slightly above average, but the sheer threat of being bale to sling it 80 yards at the flick of a wrist or getting pummeled to death with QB-designed runs made him the greatest weapon we had ever seen, regardless of what common metrics QBs are measured by. Cam defied that. And had the league not resorted to injuring him as the only way to stop him, it would've been awesome to see how he evolved as a passer.
  20. Honestly, I really feel his comp is Josh Allen. People keep saying Cam, but Cam was 1 of 1. There will likely never be another Cam. I compared Cam in football to MJ in basketball, because we just hadn't seen a player that was a legit force of nature that happened to also play QB in professional football. He could not be stopped if his passing was on, and he touched the ball every snap, and he also just happened to be the most automatic short yardage back the game has ever seen lol. That's not happening again... and I saw that happening from college. But, I've always said, Allen is like Cam-lite. Not nearly the threat as a dynamic weapon in the running game, but a damn good one. That's what set Cam apart - he was elite at both passing and running. When he was on, he was one of the most electric passers with a rocket arm the game has ever seen, and then he ran like a bruising RB when he was a runner. I expect AR to become a similar passer to Allen while being a bigger threat as a runner, but again, nowhere near what Cam was... no one will come close to that again probably in our lifetime as a QB, not in that style. But that's why I would love this pick. A Josh Allen-type passer with ridiculous athleticism that can stress a defense every play with his legs as well as his arm? I have been feeling for awhile that AR is the guy I want us to take.
